“John Charcoal had provided excellent service and prompt responses. However you may still run into issues during your conveyancing process. As such it is important to stay on top of things yourself.”

“My first experience with John Charcol this year turned out well. I brought a portfolio of mortgages to them that I wanted to review and improve and to take out a mortgage on another to release capital for my business. From the start, Tim Cobb at Charcol’s lead me through the process admirably, despite us coming up against some hurdles along the way, I am pleased with the outcome so far. “I’ve trusted Steve & Molly to help me previously and when it came to needing to refinance I knew I would be in good hands. Steve thoroughly researched the market and presented several options which matched my particular needs, discussed the merits of each and helped me choose a great value new product. “The hard cases are those that need persistence and dedication to get them over the line. My mortage broker, Sarah Teff, never gave up on my case, though we had many ups and downs, disappointments and countless obstacles thrown in our path. This is the current way of btl mortgages in a tricky market particularly where your profile doesn’t match what lenders prefer. I would recommend Sarah Teff - she is a fighter and she will take on whoever needs to be persuaded to get you to the finishing line.”

“What I expected to be a simple mortgage turned out to belong drawn out and complicated, without the persistance and hard work from my advisors at John Charcol it might never have happened. Penny Mathers and Fiona Allen remained cheerful and positive throughout and managed to overcome any problems until the mortgage was successfully completed. Thank you.”

“John Charcol was excellent sorting out a good range of mortgages for me, and ensuring that things kept moving through the purchase of our property. However, the insurances associated with this were not in place by the time we exchanged and completed our contracts, and as a result I had to spend considerable time taking out a policy directly with an insurer.”
