Inks supplied as compatibles did not work with my HP printer. I have gone back to buying originals! At least they work and I don't risk missing printing deadlines. S K Sharma

I was surprised to see that I had bought refilled cartridges and when I checked the wed site I was disappointed to see that HP cartridges were referred to as soon as the site opened. You had to be sharp-eyed to realise that the top bar had a menu for original and genuine HP ones. My view was that when something is advertised as HP cartridge it should be that. Otherwise it is a cartridge that will fit an HP machine. Subtle difference but important. Since I felt slightly responsible I decide to use the cartridges anyway and they dry out after just a few hours and the printer needs constant head cleaning. When I complained I was told by email that this was to be expected since they were refills. Nowhere in the web site does it tell me this. I have been told that I can return and upgrade to real cartridges. I want a refund.

I purchased a Dell compatible black high capacity cartridge 22 which is much cheaper than an original Dell cartridge. I am using it in a Dell V313 printer/scanner. However, it has failed to work, despite contacting the supplier, I am now using a three colour cartridge also from Internet-ink and using the printer setting 'colour only' this is working - producing black when required (by mixing the 3 colours).

Dear David, I am sorry to hear you have had difficulty with the black cartridge, I have taken a look at your notes and on the last email it was confirmed that the replacement ink cartridge was now working, however here Was A Small Pool Of Ink In The Holder. Has this situation now changed?

Order arrived very promptly. However, my printer totally failed very promptly after installing Black ink. ?Coincidence.

Often compatible cartridge get blamed for being faulty when that is not often the case, In fact by far the greatest number of calls we get from customers relates to cartridges not being recognised or memory conflicts. They don’t happen all that often but when they do occur, all you need to simple do is reset your printer. Remove all cartridges from your machine correctly with the printer on and make sure all packaging, clips and tape have been removed from the cartridges. If you are required to follow prompts on screen to change a cartridge make sure you do follow them, otherwise you should be able to simply lift the lid or press a specific button to get your carriage to slide across. Never pull the carriage across to change a cartridge as your printer will not realise anything has changed. All you will do is cause damage to your printer and potentially your poor fingers as well. Turn your printer off, disconnect the power supply and leave it off for about 10-15 minutes. Doing this will give your printer chance to clear the error it had and power down correctly. It may also be worth ensuring your printer is communicating this to your computer and that the error on screen has cleared. Reconnect the power supply and turn your printer back on and wait for it to settle down and warn of a missing cartridges. Nobody likes to be woken up and instantly have half a dozen things shouted at them and your printer is the same. Taking an extra 30 seconds now may save you the time/ hassle of returning your cartridge or purchasing a new one. Re-install the cartridges individually. Put the colour ink cartridges first and the black one last making sure they are fully clicked into place. Please make sure that you follow any instructions given to you or follow the procedures described in the manual. If multiple cartridges have been rejected I would recommend installing them individually and ensuring the cartridge is being recognised by the printer before repeating the process for the next cartridge. If any cartridges are rejected remove them from the printer immediately and either replace with another from your stock or move onto the next colour. There are a variety of different causes of Epson inkjet cartridges not being recognised, ranging from damaged chips to the chip not being correctly aligned with the corresponding contacts inside the printer. However by following the above steps you are effectively forcing the cartridge to check thoroughly for a new cartridge and I fine this is much more reliable that rushing through the procedure like you may have done previously. I hope this advice has helped, if however the problem continues then unfortunately it would appear you have a damaged, faulty or incompatible cartridge. In which case please simply get in contact with customer support quoting your order number and the full printer model and I will help you further with your enquiry.

I ordered replacement ink cartridges (re-manufactured) for my Canon MG3250. Unfortunately the cartridges will not register on the printer's ink levels consequently printer refuses to work with them; simply registering "empty". Regret this was NOT a good purchase.

It is common to get a low ink or empty warning when using remanufactured cartridges as the print head contains electrical contacts that communicate with your printer. Because the cartridge is being reused your printer thinks that you have inserted an old ‘empty’ cartridge. Unfortunately there is no way to reset this information however I can assure you that the cartridges are fully checked and tested before they are dispatched. However if your Canon printer has come to a halt because of the error message, then please press and hold the reset button for 15 – 20 seconds or until your printer carriage starts to move. (you will not have to do this again) The only disadvantage to remanufactured cartridges is that you will not get any indication of when the ink is running out. However we would advise simply keeping a spare cartridge in stock and checking the quality of your prints when they begin to fade then you know it’s time for a new cartridge. Should you have any further problems then please do not hesitate to contact me again. Ink ordered for my Epsonxp-310 were of no use as the printer would not accept the Cyan which I tried to instal to-day. I assume the other three will also be useless. N Smith

Often compatible cartridge get blamed for being faulty when that is not often the case, In fact by far the greatest number of calls we get from customers relates to cartridges not being recognised or memory conflicts. They don’t happen all that often but when they do occur, all you need to simple do is reset your printer. So why does your printer state the cartridges are not recognised? This is where the printer ‘remembers’ the previous type of cartridge that was installed and is confused by the change. This can cause recognition faults, which as it happens are easily rectified. But in some circumstances, the printer can assume the wrong ink levels and this has a couple of possible consequences: 1. If the printer thinks a cartridge holds less ink than it does, then you will be told it is empty when it is still 2/3 full. This is obviously annoying and a waste of ink. Since our cartridges always hold more than the originals (and in some cases 3 or 4 times as much) you want to avoid this. 2. The flip side is that if you continue printing out of sync then you eventually get to a point where the printer thinks there is more left in the cartridge then there actually is. In this case, the printer will keep trying to print after the cartridge is empty. When a printer tells you to replace a cartridge, there should be a little bit of ink left in the bottom so that the flow of ink is maintained. If the printer continues printing when a cartridge is bone-dry, then air is sucked into the ink line and creates a blockage. This is easily recognised: when a cartridge needs replacing, the first you should know about it is the message from the printer. If during a print-run you see a deterioration in quality first then the cartridge has completely run out of ink and the printer is starting to suck on air. And once you get an air bubble in the ink line it can be a pain to get rid of so you really want to avoid doing this. All of our products are covered by a 12 month guarantee. http://www.internet-ink.com/returns-policy

I bought 2 black ink cartridges for my Lexmark printer and after using the first one to print one page the next time I tried to print something it didn't work. I thought this was a one off so I put the other one in and again printed one page. To my dismay the next time I tried to print again nothing happened! I thought it must be the printer so I tried to reprint after switching to blue and it printed fine. So I can't say anything good only that I wasted my money buying these cartridges. Mike O'Shea

Sadly I have just had the 3rd black ink cartridge delivered as the previous 2 were faulty. I have used intnet-ink for a number of years and I'm afraid this is not the first time I have had faulty cartridges. I suspect I will not be purchasing any more.
