“Brilliant service/ Kit arrived the day after order. Despite being unable to effect an offered discount online a quick phone call resulted in an immediate refund. Really polite and helpful customer service agent. Missing parts were dispatched the same day for next day delivery. Would use again and highly recommend this company”

“The hardware is great. The pictures are great. The delivery was quick and everything well packed but.... I couldn't get the web based services working on my own so last week had a session with someone from CCTV Kits technical department who took control of my pc and spent about an hour trying to help me get access. He was very helpful and tried hard but many services are still not working. I expected to have viewing and playback working through these four channels: the NVR an android phone app the browser the client software I can get live view and playback through my NVR and my android devices. I can view live a live feed through my Firefox browser from home (inside the network). The browser shows that recording has been taken place but I still can't playback the footage. Weeks after buying the equipment, I still can't view or playback through the client IVMS 4200 (which is like an app on your pc) and still can't view or playback my cameras through a browser from outside my house. Can you imagine having so much trouble getting a new iphone working after spending £600, for example? I expected this equipment to work out of the box with minimum tweeking. It doesn't. The last contact from cctv kits was from the technical department telling me that everything was now working. It isn't. The Hikvision documentation is not helpful. There is no additional, quick start, documentation from CCTV kits I am not happy with the remote stuff but I would still buy another camera because they work so well locally. The pictures are great. If on the other hand, I had to buy a kit to install for a customer, I would buy a system which was easier to set up and came with more support (documentation, how to videos etc)”

“CCTVkits has helped me save a lot of money since prices are much cheaper compared to the local market. I have ordered several cameras and dvr which have arrived in 4 business days and already tested the products to confirm they are working properly. It should be noted that the employees of the company answer your e-mail regularly in order to help with any issue you might encounter. However, I would suggest the company to add some more information or perhaps tutorials on the blog section of the website.”

“Well laid out site, plenty of additional information. Swift delivery, very well packaged, great products. When one of the items I ordered wasn't in stock, I was called, given options and kept informed right through to delivery. “I needed an external camera with WiFi and this was one of the few available. The build quality looks excellent (compared to the 'budget' brands) and the initial setup gave very good image quality. Points to watch are - Mounting. The captive data/power lead is very short. I had to mount the camera on a junction box and run cable from there. Incomplete instruction manual. This is a problem for many Chinese brands. When something doesn't work as expected, prepare to spend hours searching the web for someone who has already posted the magic combination of commands. (For example, good luck setting up recording to an SD card...)”

“This camera is very good value for the money. good build quality and easy to install. The location of the IR light makes sure you don't get reflection off of dirty glass at night. The addition of a cover for the RJ45 plug which connects to the camera socket is a very good idea.”

“This is a well built light and it performs as expected. Can be powered by 12 - 24 volt power supply which is not included. Good value for money and I would recommend this to others”

“I used the Ethernet connection only. The image and sound are very good. The camera setup was very easy. I have used it in a nest box with a Barn Owl in it and the image is very good. It was the best price available.”
