We could not be less satisfied with our blinds, and the subsequent level of customer service shown. The end product looks ridiculous and is completely different from the one we agreed with the initial salesman. Hillarys have refused to take any responsibility. Belligerent customer service team. We will never be using Hillarys again.

In June 2020 I was visited by a sales guy / fitter. He measured up and said the curtains that I picked would be ready in three weeks. Three weeks later, the same fitter showed up at my door (in a COVID-19 lockdown) with his dad (bizarre and I guess illegal) to fit the curtains. I left them to do the job while I worked in another room, however, within literally 3 minutes they said all done, and promptly left in a hurry without even asking me if all was ok or showing me the curtains. I went into the room where I found the curtains to be at least 2 inches short and the fitter must have thought this ok? Wow, just wow! I got in touch with customer service and said that they would send the fitter out again to measure a second time which they did. Again about 3 weeks later taking a day off of work he turned up again, went back to his van and returned empty handed and stated...”they have made them the wrong size again” then drove off to the next unsuspecting mug customer. Astounding and massively amateur in every respect of the service provided. Again I called Hillarys’s and was informed that in a further 3 weeks I would see another fitter as the original fitter had been “let go”! He needed sacking tbh, idiot! Three weeks came and went with no call from Hillarys’s, I called customer service only to be informed that they had run out of fabric and were unsure when it would be in stock and would have to wait until they had more of it! Months past and only with yet more calls made to Hillarys’s did I eventually get the curtains...which were creased and not rectified. In competition they offered £100 instead of doing the right thing and writing the whole thing off which would have been reasonable given the farce I had to enjore. My advice to anyone would be, shop local with a company that isn’t run by monkeys that couldn’t give a toss about the end customer. Discussed and surprised that company’s like this still exist!

I find the behaviour of the advisor and customer services absolutely unacceptable and unfair. They missed my installation date which was meant to be a week ago, they never said the installer had to go abroad and was in quarantine and now my installation date is 20 March and they said this is the 1st date available and we will call me afterwards to discuss. No customer care. No care for my health as I have no curtains. No willingness to find a solution. I ordered my curtains on 9th December. How is it normal to wait 4 MONTHS for curtains?

Twice tried to book an appointment for measurement never turned up called the company direct but helpful. Some of the representatives are not helpful at all

Disgusting customer service, bought expensive curtains from them, took them to be dry cleaned, cleaned as per instructions, dry cleaner said that Hilarys dry cleaning instructions were incorrect. When notified Hilarys, they would not accept any fault, no refund, no compensation. Will never use again.

Customer Ref: 9456261 Appalling customer service. We made a complaint before Christmas and it’s still not been resolved. We were assigned an account manager. He promises to call you back but this never happens. I’m in the process of taking my complaint to the BBSA as I’ve had no joy dealing with customer services. They are full of broken promises. I wouldn’t use or recommend Hillarys. Save your money and use a reputable company.

very disapointing service, but happy to take your money. paid way over the odds for a 2 part blind for my bay window, but because if shape decided to pay to make sure the fitting and sizing was correct. Turned up for the fitting, put up the first part up only to discover that the second part had been made wrong.... said would have to get the decond part re-made and come back to fit it. had an appointment sent to us via E-mail ( a 3 hour time slot) only for a no show!! rang customer service to be informed they isnt anyone working during lock down to fit it?!? the first part was fitted during lock THIS lock down, so what has changed? how does this work? and if customer service are working, why was i sent an appointment, and why was i sat waiting and not informed,,, only advise is to make a complaint..... so stuck with only half a blind fitted and out of pocket!!!!!

Hillary Blinds advertise 50% off on selected items. The man came to measure up 3 windows of mine. Then told it would be nearly £900.00 for all three blinds. The samples looked cheap. An absolute rip off. I did not go ahead with the order. After reading all negative reviews from other customers on this site and Trustpilot, I am SO glad I didn't buy from Hillarys. Please don't waste your money and time.

No stars if I could no repair service I would have to buy again here a £50 voucher towards the cost. Sorry your frustrated eerm no im not frustrated cant belive you have no repair service greedy company I would not use again. I would find a company that do a longer guarantee

If you want blinds or shutters please avoid this company if you want a smooth transaction!!! We ordered wooden shutters back in July 2020, the guy who was supposed to do the fitting let us down on the first appointment, so that didn’t start well. After we were finally given a date (for fitting) for January 8th, 6 months after the original order. The day before fitting I took the day off in order to move all the beds from the bedrooms where shutters were meant to be fitted however Him nor Hillary’s bothered notifying me that he wasn’t coming. After 5 phone calls to them I’m still not closer to getting a new date! The reason as there still trying to contact a fitter which is now 8 days for this to be resolved, however they state on there website there still fully operational for home appointments to take orders, & your money..... They said As I have rescheduled this fitting, even tho it was them that didn’t turn up for the appointment they made I should be patient. This is the worst service I have received from a company ever! Micky mouse customer service treating there customers like idiots. Wish I’d read the previous reviews before spending my money with these cowboys!

Avoid at all costs! Trust me! You’ll have a horrendous experience. Very quick to take the order and your money they it turns into a circus. You’ll be messed about and if you get your product it will be wrong and poor quality. You’ll have to deal with several people that all blame each other when things go wrong. I’ll be asking for a full refund, I’m 9 months pregnant and they have totally messed me about for months!

I waited 15 months for them to fulfil my order. After 4 visits they finally got it right. It was only one bay window , so not at all complicated. Spent days on hold and waiting to speak to a manager - and them never once contacting me. Terrible service and value for money. Avoid at every cost.

Dreadful experience with Hillary's Blinds. In December 2019 I ordered and paid for curtains and rails from Hillary's. They were eventually fitted in September 2020 and what an absolute disappointment. The are very poorly made with cheap headings and hooks and far too little material in each curtain. I was mislead into buying rails for the curtains as the fitter explained my new curtains would be so heavy that they would not be able to be fitted on my curtain poles. When the curtains arrived and were fitted they were flimsy and so much lighter in weight than my own original curtains. They looked skimped and cheap. Very, very disappointed. The customer service has been dreadful and even after one of their representatives came out to visit and said the goods were mis sold they have refused to give a full refund or alter the curtains. They accept no responsibility for mis selling the curtain rails and claim I made the order and therefore knew what I was getting. The customer service advisors have not been helpful one in particular has displayed appalling customer service and certainly needs training in her job. All in all a very sad situation and I am left with two pairs of very expensive cheap looking curtains from Hillary's and really not a lot I can do about it. They are a shoddy company and I would really think hard before using them. There are lots of small private curtain making businesses where you will get much better service and quality goods. This company advertises a professional service which will leave the customer happy. They are lying and offer very little in the way of a service. Would never recommend them

Having placed an order for shutters in September and told they would be fitted well before Christmas we have now been told Jan/February. Beware of the small print in their contracts basically once you pay you won’t get either an apology or refund. I would advise against using this company due to their lack of honesty once you have paid your money. All shutters are made in China so if you are happy to wait for the slow boat. Good luck! I would definitely advise shop local and not abroad.

We recently placed an order with Hillary’s, we were given a quote and agreed to remove a few curtains and blinds from the order as the price was expensive. A revised quote was not sent to us and we were told to ignore the prices of what we didn’t want. We had the fitter/advisor come to us and told us particular blinds that we wanted in our bedroom we’re not available. We agreed to have them changed. The fitter named Brian was amazing and did a fantastic job I would highly recommend him as a fitter his work was clean and did an amazing job. He took what was the final payment and only to get several calls from Hillary’s saying we owe them 700 pounds still. We on numerous occasions have asked for a revised invoice to show where this 700 pounds has come from and they keep saying they have sent it to us and we have not received anything even though we requested it to be sent via post as well. They keep hassling us to pay and we believe that until we see the revised invoice we will not pay they have now referred us to the debt company which I think is disgusting and unfair and just says a lot about the company they are. I would seriously if anyone is considering to go ahead with Hillary’s to not bother they are not a reliable company and this experience has been very frustrating for us as a family as we keep getting calls accusing us of not paying an amount that we don’t believe is correct. The advisors on the phone are very unprofessional. If you are reading this and considering to order blinds please look at other companies who will treat you with respect and are professional.

Look elsewhere! Unfair contract terms by expecting full payment in advance of any installation, should have walked away then. Just did not turn up for agreed installation and took a week of chasing to get my conservatory blinds installed. Then wires coming loose, the wider blinds really stiff to operate, the pole to operate them with has a cheap flimsy plastic end that keeps slipping off, customer service atrocious!

Not impressed at all!! I have asked for a refund but have been told tough luck... I paid £900 upfront in good faith and have been left out of pocket and ripped off.... Each blind has an inch gap between them looking unsightly and letting in light... For the money they are really poor quality and not what I wanted at all. I will now have to purchase elsewhere and pay all over again. I am so annoyed and would strongly advise you not using this company/cowboys. I escalated my complaint to the Chief Exec - John Risman in the hope he can see what everyone else can see and that is a shoddy job!

Ordered shutters for front of house in August 2020 fitter came on Friday one frame missing no one can tell me where the frame is no one can tell me when it wil. Arrive. Extremely poor customer service I made a verbal complaint last night someone called me yesterday but no one from Head office has had the manners to call me today. BE WARNED DO NOT ORDER FROM HILLARYS they take your money and then leave you .

Warning to prospective customers DO NOT CONSIDER using HILARY’S. I would not give them any stars if that were an option. Once they have your money the customer service is appalling. Now they are blaming Covid. They cant meet the fitting needs of clients but continue take it orders. Perhaps in these different times they need to look at how the company operates. First experience a few years ago the fitter didn’t arrive and was told by customer services that the fitter had left and they didn’t know about my order !!!!! Several calls later I was Told to put BLACK BIN BAGS at windows !!!!! While we waited for them to be fitted. Don’t think I have ever been so angry. Eventually they were fitted quality okay but certainly not the neatest job. I had one window that couldn’t be done until alterations to the room. Against my better judgment once alterations finished I ordered the shutter from Hilarys purely because I wanted it to match. The rep took the order and full payment in June 2020. She was apparently loved the company so much her husband joined to. Very pleasant fitter came to check measurements etc. I fully appreciated that with ‘Covid’ there might be a delay but now we are in November and further delays. Firstly told problem at Felixstowe !!!!!! If I’d realised they were not made in this country they would never have got my first order which will make me more careful in the future. Now my fitter is shielding which I can fully appreciate and not a criticism of him, however Hillarys obviously don’t employ enough fitters or perhaps it is that they have a high staff turnover which would not surprise me. I wanted to fit them ourselves but have been informed that Hillarys do not allow that if you want a guarantee, so our hands are tied. we cannot do anything but wait. I have NEVER found customer services at all helpful, perhaps that is because of all the complaints they deal with.
