“I ordered the turf on-line and it was delivered two days later as required. The turf was moist and ready for installation and was laid immediately on pre-pared land. It is now six days since installation and all seems well.”

“Delivered on time (though the vehicle was a little large for our road in spite of a warning) The turf was of excellent quality very evenly cut. The turf that was laid the same day recovered in a couple of days. The rest was delayed a couple of days and turned a bit yellow but is coming round now, that was our fault, not Turfonline's. Would buy again and may well be doing.”

“Some of the turf had some cuttings left rolled in them, so they started to decompose and has killed the grass. Lost about 10 roles. But other than that was all good”

These are signs of heat stress. It is important that turf is laid on the day of delivery at this time of the year to minimise the risk of damage to turf. There is a useful blog post on sod-heating on our website with useful advice, pictures and how best to avoid heat stress.

“Felt sorry for the driver he really had to struggle it took 3 of us to unload the pallets they had been doubled up and where broken and difficult to get pallet truck under but never the less he worked hard at it The turf its self is very patchy and was laid on day of arrival its now showing patched of browning already which is not good I hope it has had plenty of watering”

“We ordered turf and were told that it would come the next day... it didn't. When we called to ask where it was they had plenty of excuses but at no point even attempted to contact us and let us know that they could not fulfil our delivery .... bad customer service!!”

Many thanks for your feedback and we apologise for your experience. We have a close working relationship with our delivery partners but very occasionally we are not aware of issues until after the event which doesn't help in keeping the customer informed. I will look into the specifics of this case to see if there are lessons to be learned.

“Love my Turf so pleased with service and Quality can,t believe that i put it down it is growing well and has had its first cut today very impressed (Jubilee) much better quality than most of the ones in the shops by me no weeds allthough i don't know how long that will last as i am not very good with gardening but i do try .”
