Turf was good, good underlying, a bit more weeds than I would like and a few animal droppings. But looks great none the less

Turf looked good and delivery went without a problem. We had a one or two dead patches after a few weeks. I got in touch about but didn't get a response. I was just after some advice. Product: 7/10 Aftersales: 3/10

I ordered topsoil, and it arrived on the day. The quality, as far as I can tell, was pretty good, but i was under the impression from the website, that I would be able to fit the bags through the front gate, as they are advertised as o.72m3. When the bags turned up, they were bulging so much, (to over 1.2m wide) there was no way I could get them in to the house, so had to leave them in the street with no permit. I then had to shovel the soil (two tonnes worth ) into wheelie bins and get them through the house. Thankfully my kind neighbours helped. Nonetheless, I think that the wording on the types of packaging need to be made much clearer on site. I am suspicious they tucked away the delivery details, too. Only kerbside deliveries. they do need to make this a lot clearer at point of purchase.

Turf was meant to arrive on a Friday, but had a call to say the field was flooded, so they couldn't harvest it. It's been rearranged for this Friday. No Wednesday, and no contact, so fingers crossed we are able to receive delivery.

The only issues I have are I was told the meadow mat was cut the night before and then transported over night to my address the following day this was obviously not the case as the turf was yellow so it had been stored for at least a day or two. And the other issue and the main one was the price £109 for 3 sq Mtrs is well over the top for such a small amount Can someone turfonline please contact me and justify why it was this price. I won’t hold my breath for the phone call because in my opinion the price can not be justified.

Great living roof (sedum) matting on top layer that was rolled on the pallet. Rather less impressed by those underneath, which had clearly suffered from transportation/ being rolled up for too long a time. The matting was laid the next day of delivery, so the marked difference can not be attributed to being left in a state. Disappointing. It was delivered on the day that it had been cut, supposedly. A very marked difference in health of sedum between upper rolls and lower rolls.

The sedum mat was very good. Ordered a large amount. Unfortunately one at the bottom of the pallet was in bits and I’d say 40% of them were short of 2000m Obviously it’s living mat, not manufactured exact, I understand that. But I needed to make up what I was now missing so I tried to order more (2) at my own expense, I was told I’d have to pay a massive amount just for those few.

I bought some turf laying boards for my newly laid lawn so that I could place and move my sprinkler. The product is fit for purpose but arrived with one board damaged.

Everything was perfect, until one of the rolls became covered in mushrooms. It clearly has been contaminated in some way. 15 rolls are great, 1 is not right.

My first order was via B&Q during the COVID outbreak. Lovely turf. Well cut with no holes, damage etc. My second order for the slightly more expensive Jubilee was somewhat disappointing. The cuts were not all the same width which made laying it a pain. Many of the lengths had holes, stones and rips. Delivery was super quick.

Great delivery and looks like a great product but 8m2 has died since laying the lawn on day of delivery

The majority of the grass looks great. Unfortunately, for whatever reason 3 rolls of turf have browned and seemingly died, so I suspect they will need to be replaced.

Ordering was easy, delivery was on time (paid for pre 11am delivery). Some of the turves were thinner than others, but not too much of a problem. On install, the turf looks rich and all the same type/colour, happy with that. Rooted well within a week but after 8 days I could see annual meadow grass popping up all over the lawn. I wouldn't have minded the odd one here or there but there are some clusters where there are many next to each other. As these lawn weeds are a lighter green, you start to see patches of a lighter green across the lawn. Also have little clusters of mushrooms too. Turfonline can't do anything about these issues which I understand somewhat. Review to what I received nonetheless.

Delivery fine, got it laid in two hours, have watered every day that it hasn’t rained and it’s coming on great. Only gripe so far is there seems to be a predominance of docks and horsetails and not very many of the cottage garden flowers we thought we had ordered. Hope that the flowers come through eventually and are not crowded out by plants normally regarded as weeds (if i’d wanted weeds I didn’t need to pay hundreds of pounds for them) which I’ll probably end up removing! I now realise you don’t give a plant list for the cottage garden as you do for the other types of wildflower turf: why is this?

I would prefer to write my review in a few months time when my wildflower turf is established and some colour appears and hopefully followed by bees, butterflies and birds. I should have a decent photo by then.

Ive given a middle rating because the product was good but the customer service was very poor. The turf and soil I ordered were good quality and laid well and is thriving. However, the delivery did not arrive on time which put me to extra expense and customer service was non existent. I received a call half way through the day when the delivery had been scheduled to say that the topsoil was not in the right place (!) so I could not have the whole delivery on that day. Obviously the turf couldn't be laid until the top soil had been put down. I had employed a couple of people to lay the turf when it arrived and I had to pay them off and then sort a couple of others for the following day as they then weren't available which was extra expense and extra hassle. I emailed turf online twice about this and never even received the courtesy of a reply. I do appreciate that delivery logistics don't always go to plan, but this put me to extra expense and not even to respond to my email and simply apologise is frankly rude and very poor customer service.

I purchased two 50metres of jubilee turf for my rear garden. The first delivery was of fantastic quality as the turf had been grown on rich black fen soil. The second delivery two weeks later was of poor quality and had been grown on chalky soil and had many chalk stones in the turf.

Half of the turves were dry and some had large stones embedded on the back. There were some imperfections on the turves like gaps where grass should have grown. On the whole, the quality of the turves were not as good as the ones I bought from you last year.

Product is absolutely fantastic, but pre and after sales abysmal! I rang to check what size the sedum mats were coming in, was told 1m2 weighing around 30kg, but they came at twice the size. Given that it was a self instal that was challenging. Also no after installation care was given, which was odd because I got onto this company after a family member installed their product and I picked up the contact details from aftercare literature left after installation. Having said all that the roof looks great, gratifying to see a small group of goldfinches ferreting around in it 3 days later, and bees buzzing about.

I cannot fault the turf - my issue is over the delivery truck. I specifically ticked the smallest truck option and even wrote a covering note. This is a small lane with limited accessibility to the house. Instead I am not impressed when the driver turns up in an 18 tonne truck
