A bad experience bad customer service

If I could rate "0" I would. I pay for boiler service from almost 4 years and never get service done on time. Appointments constantly are reschedule for the following month or 2 then cancel on the day of service or day before. Currently waiting for the engineer on service which supposed to be done in August last year so almost 6 months!!! Unbelievable!!! Looks like nothing but Trading Standard will help.

Used these for a solar PV system and due to incompetence, lack of organisation and terrible customer service the whole thing is now finally sorted after 15 months of hell. In my case they made a verbal agreement about something, only to then completely renege on it. Their calls are recorded allegedly yet despite knowing the date of the verbal agreement there was "no record" of this conversation where an agreement was made. Very convenient! The complaints team seemed to be targetted on not replying for months, and the ombudsman is about as much use as a concrete parachute. Final amount paid after several threats of court action despite the complaint being referred to the ombudsman.

We had a new boiler installed on 2nd December 2021 the engineer done a good job. We took out insurance to cover yearly service, I have been trying to book a boiler service with them since November 2022, I have phoned them five times but they don't answer the calls, I have also emailed them four times and don't get a response we are now in January 2023 and the boiler has not yet been serviced.

Legendary Bad Service (Complete Opposite of the GOAT) If there is anything less than 1 star, I would have given it to them. Their service is legendarily bad. I got brand new boiler installed by them on 09/01/2023. The next day, the boiler broke down with a fault 83. Alright, that is fine. It could happen. We called them on that day (10/01/2023), and they said that they would get back to us. Till this very moment, we have not got a response back from them as to when an Engineer will be out to fix the boiler. They are just ignoring us (Yea, we got your money). My wife and I have been calling everyday since the 10/01/2023 (sometimes twice a day, getting call queued for 30 minutes to 45 minutes), only to be told that they will get back to us, which they never do. Next day, its the same routine again. My children have been catching cold and squeezing in the house, and I have been having to use electric to heat a room in the house for short periods of time, given the state of the energy bills, the fact that I just paying them (Glow green) over £2400 for a broken boiler. An heartless company, just out to grab money. One for me to avoid like the pledge in the future. I intend to complain the trading standards ombudsman. Just been very busy at the moment

Ticket ref GG-TK-110600 remains open as the physical boiler install that commenced on 9/12/2022 still does not provide hot water to the cylinder tank when HW demand is presented from the controller/wiring control centre. Initially, before the installer's second visit to investigate on 22/12, the boiler would intermittently come on and we had constant very hot water. Fortunately, since 22/12, the wiring has left the HW valve open but the only way now to have heated hot water in the cylinder is to have the heating on which presents 2 issues. 1. £££unnecessary heating of house just for hot water so often having cold showers before, during and after Christmas. 2. HW in cylinder could get too hot without a mechanism to stop the flow of the heated water to the cylinder tank when the heating is on. Issue #2 has been more relevant following my daughter's diagnosis of Pneumonia just before Christmas. I'm still waiting to be contacted and have been waiting for a promised electrician since 22/12/2022 following the second visit by the installer who confirmed is not qualified to diagnose the wiring issues caused by the install. The old boiler worked when required (hot water and heating) but was replaced as it kept cutting out when the heating was on. I know it has been Christmas but it has been almost a month since the install and it's still not installed properly as the system is rendered manual with additional cost overheads to unnecessarily heat radiators at the same time. Not a great advert for reducing emissions from fossil fuel usage, not to mention my gas bill. I called again yesterday and was promised contact to confirm when the electrician will be here but am yet to receive this. I will be seeking compensation if the situation is not fully resolved by end of 6/1/2023.

The fitter was amazing The actual staff at glow green rude And pass the buck to all sorts Wrong boiler delivered without heating or hot water for a week And no updates ! And persistent lies as to problems

I was given an installation date that didnt happen till nearly 2 weeks later the installation engineer made several silly mistakes ie cutting off my washing machine drain and very messy workman. customer services have failed to get back to me despite raising tickets i am still waiting for a response

In my customer experience after having a Vaillant installed on 14th November, they appear to be a most dysfunctional and incompetent organisation with no idea of customer service. A problem was reported on 20th December, Gas supply was capped-off on 23rd December only to be restored on 31st January when an independent Gas Safe engineer was paid to resolve the issue in the complete absence of assistance from Glow Green Ltd!

I had solar panels installed in may , they did not work until November. In that time my calls were ignored for three months, no one contacted me to try to resolve the issue. Eventually I got through after many complaints and the multiple problems were resolved. No customer care , they say they care but theirs actions certainly don’t show that. At a cost of £11.500 there are much better companies. Don’t touch with a barge pole.

The worst and most heartless company I have ever had the displeasure of coming across. They have left me homeless over Christmas as I have no hot water and heating. I was told to go and buy an electric heater from Tesco. They promised me that my boiler would be installed within 7 days and I’ve had over a month with no hot water and heating. My installation was cancelled during the -6 weather outside. I cannot stress enough to please avoid this company at all costs as they should not be allowed to operate.

My installation has gone very wrong. There have been multiple problems. Starting in September when it was scheduled for and days before installation I was called to be informed that you did not apply for a DNO so my installation was postponed to 6th of December. A week before the installation I was contacted by sales to be told your supplier let you down and you can longer supply the panels that were quoted, although at the point of the initial sale I was told you have stock and that stock will be reserved to my installation. I had no choice but to agree with the change. On the 5th of December I was contacted by the installer to confirm his attendance and on the 6th he did not turn up, got a call from Customer Service saying he is sick. Installation was rescheduled for 14th. After inspecting the solar panels we have found some were damaged during transport. This prompted me to inspect all the other materials, I have found that although there was a pick list attached, with each item ticked by somebody, 5-6 items were missing. This included essential things like WiFi stick for inverter , meter and electrical cable. This were delivered on the day previous to the installation, causing anxiety. The installer that was assigned to the job worked 2 days to put a part of the solar panels on the roof, as he was unable to place all of them as the design was wrong as no survey was made except a plan using Google Earth. This leaves me with 2 panels short on the installation. There were insufficient materials to finish the installation, including clips, rails and bird blocker. The worst part is that the installer has left without finishing the electrical work, system is left unfunctional. I was told that the missing materials will be delivered today, that did not happen. I was told a new contractor will be assigned today and I will be contacted by the planning team. That did not happen. I got scaffolding all over the house over Christmas. The company that provides the scaffolding was told to come and collect although I was told that it needs to stay up to add the extra panels and bird blocker. Nobody knows what is happening. For the last week I have been trying to speak to key people at GlowGreen, nobody has answered to any of my emails, and there were plenty of then to all the contacts I have from Glow Green. Nobody answers the phone, I have been waiting over an hour on 3 different occasions, at different times, in different days. So at the moment, I got scaffolding, mot enough materials to finish the job, no installer to install the remaining panels and bird blocker, system is left electrically unfinished with wires hanging everywhere, no contact from Glow Green, no schedule date for delivery of materials, no date for when a contractor will finish the installation, no date for when the scaffolding will be removed. Please use this text to raise a formal complaint, although I have raised 2 other in September when my installation was postponed last minute and nobody bothered to answer.

We have been waiting for the installation since black Friday and without heating for the last 3 weeks with snow outside. Customer service process is so poor that we cannot speak to the supervisor/manager after calling everyday from 8 AM in the morning and there is no escalation process. Sales team will mention installation will be next week and when they are sending the quote, they will send you next minute and ask you to sign it. But when you call them and ask for a service/installation date, they will give you weeks after. If commitments would have been correct, we would have gone with other boiler provider and hopefully would have installed by now. Now we are without boiler till January. I wish there is an option to give less than 1 star.

We chose Glow Green for our solar pv and battery solution not because they were the cheapest (they were quite expensive compared to some). We chose them as they promised an installation within a few weeks. The actual installation started five weeks later than the date promised. The day before the installation started I was contacted and advised the panels I had ordered were not available (even though Glow Green had taken payment for these panels some weeks earlier with the promise that our stock was now secure). We were advised we would get a free upgrade, however on checking the details of the new panels it was clear they were not an upgrade at all. No interest from the design team at that point, simply a comment that as we had lost faith in Glow Green we should cancel. With hindsight this is what we should have done. On the day of the installation we were contacted again and offered an upgraded panel at no cost (following our threat to cancel if not resolved). When we received our new quote I noticed the new design showed less than half our panels actually connected to our battery storage making the system next to useless. At this point the electrician had already installed most of the existing design. Glow Green said it wasn't possible for the system to work the way I wanted (it was and when we explained the solution to them we had another design sent through which cost around £1000 less that the original quote which didn't work) So far so bad..... with half a system installed the engineers left site a week and a half ago leaving equipment scattered around our house in the rain. We have had no update from Glow Green since that day to let us know when we can expect our installation to be completed. We will have scaffolding around our home at Xmas which we had not planned for and as a result our TV signal is blocked. its impossible to contact Glow Green, calling the customer service number just results in 45 min wait only to be told they cannot help and will get someone to call you which never happens

On 9th December Utility Warehouse put us in touch with Glow Green since our boiler could not be fixed. Their sales department was quick to sell us a boiler, give us an installation date of Wednesday 14th December, and help us arrange interest free credit. We were then subsequently informed by the scheduling department that it could not take place until Friday 16th December. Friday 16th December and no plumber. After numerous calls by us, we have been informed that there is no schedule date but it could be 10th January at the earliest. Both me and my wife are in our 70s and are having to endure a situation that does not seem to have an end. When you call Glow Green, sales answer and they try to pass you to scheduling, but never manage it because scheduling is always busy or not available. We need the heat as we both have heart conditions and are on blood thinners. My advice, do not have anything to do with Glow Green.

Terrible terrible customer service. Twice didn’t turn up and when did a part missing. Continual chasing from our end. When I rang to complain this morning, yes I was cross understandably, I was laughed at by the telephone rep. I want my full deposit back and will go elsewhere. Would not recommend you to my worst enemy complete disgrace

I would not recommend this company for boiler I had boroughs the boiler off this company over year ago I am still having problem with my heating and boiler they could not finished the job properly now the company doesn’t want to know you know so please I would not recommend

Rubbish. Total shambles. Three times had a no show from fitter. Had to phone ourselves to find that no one was coming. Eventually cancelled whole order so as to not have money taken and then end up paying for a boiler that wasn’t fitted . Buyer beware. Use at peril. .
