Avoid. Had a new bosch boiler installed November 2020 , already broken , have children and a pregnant wife due to deliver soon all what they can say is , we can issue a ticket and wait for a call . It is freezing and although under warranty still . Unprofessional, no support. I would never use their service if I hadn't paid and still under warranty.

My experience with glowgreen:
I purchased new vaillant boiler under glowgreen's package 2020.

The idea is new boiler can use for 10 to 15 years without much hassle, after all it’s £1,9000 we paid to Glowgreen. BUT since the purchase 2020, there have been THREE breakdowns.
To be clear:

★first thermostat and filter failure, used from May 2020-April 2021

★second thermostat they changed and used from April2021-Oct2021

★third thermostat?? Glowgreen asked to charge me £220 for replacing another thermostat! Though clearly it still under 2 years warranty, also clearly glowgreen's faulty product and poor service are against the Consumer Rights Act 2015,

(b)the goods are installed by the trader or under the trader’s responsibility, and

Unethical and lazy. I asked for a free, no obligation inspection from the GAS SAFE REGISTER - they will supply a free report in the next 30 days with photos. and in my case they found the minimum regulatory requirements were not met and will need rectified: a. The wrong flue had been fitted ("showed white") b. The flu was too close to an openable window. c. There was a problem with the soldering at the top of the boiler. d. The immersion switch electrics were not live. e. The old room thermostat is still in place and not working. f. The condensate was not insulated g. The condensate was not connected to a drain or suitable alternative (causing erosion to the bricks overtime) h. No log book was left after the installation. We are now involving out local MP. We contacted the manufacture Valliant who confirmed we will not be covered by a warranty due to the way the mis-sold boiler was incompetently fitted. Brands like Worcester bosch and Valliant should not be supporting this company. 1.Mis-sold product and incomplete installation. My property and usage is suited to a combi-boiler. This is what I asked for, all arranged over the phone and I was sent a combi-boiler. 2.When the Engineer came to install he said it "was going to be too much work" and I needed to change the boiler, and walked out. The boiler was exchanged and a different engineer came out and started work. 3.It turns out I still have a system boiler, I'm not a technical person but made it clear I needed to convert to a combi. 4. I live in a small terrace house, with an electric shower and for a variety of reasons a combi is perfect and a system boiler is uneconomical for my property. 5. I have now had 5 local independent boiler companies come out and 5/5 all said a combi would be ideal, without me saying a word! They will produce witness statements stating the detailed reasons why. 6. It turns out this company use contractors and the one who turned up wasn't in the mood to install and to the extra 1/2 days work for the required conversion, so went home and switched me, without telling me. 7.A year on no contact about servicing. 8. The wireless thermostat I paid for still not fitted. Stuck with my broken (uneconomical one) 9. Electrics to tank, not rectified, nor would it have been needed if a combi was fitted. 10. I have submitted a Subject Access Request and if it comes back as insufficient I will escalate with the ICO. 11. I'm going to contact trading standards with regards to being mis-sold a replacement system boiler over the required and requested combi (that they sent out the first time). 12. It is shocking that Utility Warehouse send these people out to their customers and the claim they are a green company. Whilst I was bluntly switched to a system boiler and now heating up a tank of water every day, which is placed in a cupboard without a door never mind insulation, wasting unneeded heat across the house and making my house uncomfortable. 13. Small Claims Proceedings will be initiated and all progress published online in an open letter to UW CEO on the way, watch this space and avoid this company! 14. I am in my 70's and feel this company treat me this way because of my age. 15. I'm lucky my children were able to point out to me that I didn't get what I was asked for. As when my son came to help me change the shower it turns out I now require an overpriced pump. Where as if I had been given the combi, I could have a shower from the (suitable and tested) mains pressure. 16. I have now need advised that my system was not powerflushed and no inhibitor was added. Which means the manufacturer will not help me going forward. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COST.

It’s being only a few months since you’ve installed a new boiler in doing so The engineer has caused damage to my property that is left watermarks on my ceiling in the hallway and dampness in the airing cupboard upstairs. I’m paying a monthly instalments for this new boiler and already I’m having issues and yet you want a call out charge £180+ before you even check the item. And the sad thing is My family and I have to live through this cold house with no hot water and no central heating with a special needs child living in these premises. I definitely will not be recommending this company to customers originally I was going to recommend.

It has been over a month since the new boiler was installed, and I’m still waiting for someone to install the thermostat. I had some leaking issues after the plumber installed the boiler. I had four appointments with the same plumber about the leaks. He didn’t show up on first three appointments. Finally he arrived on the fourth one, two hours late. He did half of the job , he was shouting in my house because we told him we are not happy with what he has done. Absolutely bad service, zero. Very disappointing.

Avoid at all costs! Shocking company. Don’t believe any of the good reviews. I got a boiler installed. 4 days later another engineer needed to be sent out to correct issues with the installation, as I had no heating. A 3rd(!!!) Engineer needed to be sent to rectify errors made by the second engineer. During the original installation, damage was done by the engineer to my kitchen. This has not been rectified, and I understand the original engineer has been largely uncontactable (by glowgreen or his insurer) and no progress has been made in rectifying the damage. I am still waiting nearly 2 months later. I have provided before and after photos indicating the damage done as evidence, and glowgreen have accepted responsibility, but have made no efforts to rectify the issue. The have been slow and poor to respond, when responses have come in, they have only come in when I have pushed for a response, they have been vague, It took them a month to contact the insurers. I had 5 units installed. They all work fine but the installer drilled through the cable from the consumer unit to the oven in the annexe. My in laws have now been without cooking facilities for around 7 weeks. I have had to ring several times and send many emails and no one is getting back to me. I understand mistakes happen but their installer is now trying to duck responsibility. Would have expected more from a company providing a luxury product!!!

We had to change from a water tank boiler to a combi boiler and we choose the company as was good on price and over the phone things were ok with them. Everything changed after the installation, like every big company they give the work to third parties and the people that come to do the installation did a bad job and had really poor communications on what things there were going to do... After finish, the installation I had some problems to be resolve with it and I call more than 15 times to try to get them done... A month later they send someone to do an "audit" of the job done in the first place. After the audit, the conclusion was everything was ok from the company point of view so the complaint was closed! Great for them but I still got problems with the boiler and the gas piping all done externally! Conclusion? Beter to go with a local company that you could have better communication and you will know all the way what you are paying for!

Been trying for over 2 weeks for a engineer to fix my heating/ boiler. Really Really fed up with chasing glow green up and them not getting back to me !!! Love to know how you get 5 star reviews. You have my mobile number & email address so really no excuse for the silence. If you cannot deliver a service then you should not offer service plans.

Stay far far far away from this company. Firstly the first arranged date they did not turn up after telling us 3 times the engineer was on the way. Cut a long story short. They damaged our kitchen work top, the plaster fell off the wall when fitting the new boiler and they just left it in bare brick. They swept all the rubble and screws and all other mess under a drain cover and blocked our drain. We have been dealing with the complaints department and after 3 weeks we are getting absolutely nowhere. We have been on to citizens advise and they have reported them to trading standards. We are now taking legal action against this company. I am not one to complain but there are plenty of other places who can fit your boiler. DO NOT USE THESE COWBOYS. They lie and do the most disgraceful job I have ever seen.

A dishonest and fraud Company I had a terrible experience with Glow Green. This company is completely a dishonest and making fraud with all its customers. Due to their advertisement of 12 years warranty of Boiler, I was interested in to one with long warranty. I spoke to the sales agents several times also a number of emails were also exchanged. The boiler was installed on 7th September. While I was waiting for papers for 12 years warranty with very anxiety I identify a condition attached with that. The condition was you HAVE TO take an insurance product from then! If this is the condition, then they should mention it at the very earlier stage while they advertised the “12 years Warranty”. As a customer at the very end if you identified you are not having what the company promised and advertise then why you shouldn’t treat this company as a fraud and dishonest company? All the Salespersons always mentioned the 12 years warranty but never mentioned the condition attached with that. With a great frustration I raised with their customer relation and unfortunately, they just reply with a generic comment! As I haven’t managed an honest reply from the company so I have decided to take it further. I will instruct soon a legal firm to act on behalf of me. My honest suggestion would be try to avoid this company at any cost if all at possible and if you have already have same sort of experience like me, please feel free to contact with me. As a group of customer, we can start a movement to force a company to do ethical practice.

Having purchased a boiler during lockdown we took out a service plan with the company. Our first service was booked for approximately 12 months after installation with no consultation on date - we were just sent the details. Having rearranged our work schedules to accommodate, the day before the service we were contacted to say it had to be cancelled due to engineer shortage. At this time the staff were very apologetic and made arrangements for the service on an alternative date of our convenience. Come the date of the rearranged service and we’d had no further details so we contacted the company to confirm this - during the first phone call we were shouted at by an abusive customer service agent due to a minor miscommunication. Eventually we received confirmation the service would go ahead and an engineer would call an hour before arriving. We later received an e-mail to say this had again been cancelled - no rationale or rearrangement mentioned. Having complained regarding this we are unable to rearrange a service and the company are refusing to refund the full amount of money we have spent on a service plan that they are unable to facilitate. We are now concerned our boiler warranty will be invalidated and we are unable to get any satisfactory assistance from glow green. I would strongly advise anyone considering a service plan with this company to invest their money elsewhere - perhaps in a local engineer because the customer service is appalling, the complaints process impersonal and uncaring and the service non-existent.

I arranged for my elderly, disabled mother's boiler to be replaced by GlowGreen. On 2 September two engineers installed a new Worcester Bosch boiler. They said that they couldn't get the boiler to work and that it had been delivered faulty and that it was Worcester Bosch's responsibility to fix this. Worcester Bosch sent out an engineer the next morning and he saw that the boiler itself was working perfectly, but a number of key installation errors meant that it couldn't be commissioned and left fully working. I have repeatedly tried to get answers from GlowGreen Ltd. They have essentially left my mother with no hot water for two days and likely for another 2-3 days until they can arrange for the relevant trades to attend, assuming that they do. GlowGreen, via their very sweet customer relations person, asked if I could find an electrician offered me £150 TOWARDS the cost of an electrician to fix the electrical side of the installation. So not only expecting me to arrange for the electrician, but to pay towards the cost of rectifying some of the installation issues. Unacceptable approach from GlowGreen on every level. On the point of responsibility, GlowGreen's terms and conditions state that it is responsible for the installation and commissioning of a new boiler. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 the responsibility for ensuring that the boiler is installed and working properly is GlowGreen's. Not Worcester Bosch's and definitely not mine. My mother is facing the weekend with no hot water. That will make at least four days without hot water unless I find an electrician and GlowGreen agrees to pay the electrician's fees in full. Never mind the cost of my time and the stress this has cost my mother. If you're looking to get a boiler installed for an elderly/vulnerable person then check with AgeUK etc. if they have recommendations. It's hugely important that vulnerable people have access to hot water and heat. Heating companies that can't accommodate vulnerable people as priorities shouldn't sell their heating systems to them.

I am chasing this company from last 2 weeks for promising me that an engineer would come to look at my water system. Since they installed the new boiler the water system is making horrific noises like something is about to burst or to explode. My son scares so badly if SOMETHING HAPPENS WORSE I AM DEFINITELY GOING TO SUE THIS COMPANY. After many attempts they lied to me that an engineer is coming on friday 2 pm but no one showed up. I called the company they said both agents who were raising complaints ticket for me are busy and will call you back in 10 mins. No one ever called me back. I m out of hot water from last 2 weeks and got 20 months old son. I also pay monthly premium care cover instead paying they look like dusting there hand of my serious concerns. If glow green is reading this feel some shame and start communicating with your customers.

We had air con units installed by this company was told it would take two days ended up being eight, The workmanship is shoddy at best once they have your money they do not care and don’t answer your emails. Only wish it would let me download photo’s

Would not use this company. Had nothing but issues with new boiler. Poorly fitted- where sat in for many days to get it resolved without any engineer showing up. I was left without hot water for weeks waiting for a repair. Don’t be fooled by the price!!! Once it’s fitted the customer service is shocking!!
