Fridge-freezer is not repairable. £105 is a lot of money to be told this as we were hoping something could be done to put our appliance back in action. This would have probably justified your charges. Booking the call-out online was quite easy to do and Your Glotech engineer was efficient and quickly assessed the problem but my vet would charge less for a call-out! There should be a basic call-out fee with potential labour charges added only at the point of payment. Will be looking elsewhere for a cheaper option in future.

The process of the getting the engineer out was quite quick. However the original date mon 3rd so called but was told didn’t know if part was in and I’d be contacted that very day , I wasn’t. I had to chase it up every step of the way. Getting the part ordered and communication to us the customer were not the best. I had to do all of the chasing.

1st repair was done, new light bulb and replaced element engineer was prompt and pleasant, the on first use worked for 15 minutes and then the bulb stopped working again and the over stopped heating, tripping the electrical supply, emailed office explained the problem and an engineer came out and now believes the problem is a thermostat and the bulb holder not bulb, also suggested we replace the settings switch as this is stiff! None of these parts are stocked so had to order, and now been told the bulb holder is a discontinued part with no optional replacement which seems strange as it’s a fairly generic item? I also had to chase the office for information once second engineer had left at which point I was told about replacement costs and asked to pay upfront for spares, no appointment has yet been offered to fit so l will review the outcome once completed

Glotech have a good booking system, we did have a couple of days wait but they arrived on the day. The engineer was polite and helpful. He worked cleanly and left no mess behind and best of all he fixed the dishwasher there and then. Thanks Glotech.

The AND company cancelled their appointment. They did call in advance to let me know. I managed to get a different company to resolve the issue due to the urgency. Thanks!

Not a lot to report. We were advised our wine cooler would not be repaired as the coolant gas had leaked.

Good afternoon, I can see from the engineers notes on Friday 30th that the engineer worked on the icemaker for your appliance and left it to test to see if this would resolve it rather than charge you for a replacement part that you may not require. he has also put a second note on yesterday to say you do require the icemaker , I am sorry if you have not been contacted today to confirm and order that part. I have sent your details to the customer service manager and some one will contact you tomorrow however if you wish to call in tomorrow the lines are open from 8.30am and a member of the team can assist you. Thank you

Your engineer called Tues 14th March to look at my Smeg dishwasher, the door handle of which is quite definitely faulty. I hadn't been able to use it for 2 weeks at that point as I couldn't open the door. Your perfectly pleasant engineer opened the door in an instant and showed me how to open it too, so I can now use it. Nevertheless, it is a task now trying to open the door, whereas it never was before and it quite definitely is not the way it should be. My expectation was that the door handle would be restored to its original state. So I paid around £81 for the call out charge and wished I hadn't bothered to contact you. Although I can now use the dishwasher the handle on the door is still faulty.

Very efficient with speedy response and repair time. However very expensive. The repair took less than 10 minutes and total cost was £170

The job was very brief, with the engineer inspecting the machine and saying that we would be as good to buy a new machine due to the parts cost.

My dishwasher had stopped working and I thought that having it looked into would be the cheaper option. As it turns out, buying a replacement would have been cheaper than the repair and the parts. Fortunately the engineer who attended told me this but still had to charge for the call out despite not being able to fix the problem. My reasoning for leaving 3 stars is the price. The call out including VAT is nearly £100, which could have gone towards a new dishwasher. I just feel that if the machine cannot be fixed, the call out price should reflect that. Everything else about the service was great.

Hi, After 3 visits and one new part, our dishwasher is not fixed. The last engineer took a few minutes and said to just get a new one. Whilst we appreciate a machine that's just over 2 years old could break, it's difficult to accept when there's no continuity of repairperson. It doesn't inspire confidence in them at all. And we still have a problem. Disconcerted.

I phoned them to ask for someone to repair a washing machine which wasn't drying due to the drier not drying - no heat. When the service man arrived at about 9.20am, the first thing he said was - 'Did they tell you this would cost £81?' - I was astonished. Not only had I not been warned of the cost, but he only spent a brief 10 minutes here. However, I did pay him as I thought a refusal might result in argument and unpleasantness. But I would like to think there might be some (at least partial) refund forthcoming. Had I known in advance, as implied by the technician, I would have refused the visit.

Good afternoon - It is disappointing when a customer is not happy with the service and value for money, all of our team are trained to provide the cost upfront on every phone call I will ask our customer service manager to retrieve the call for your booking and investigate thoroughly - in relation to the time the engineer spends at the property he is allocated enough time to fully diagnose and if possible complete a first time fix for you. during the time allocated we could not book for another customer. I understand you have also emailed team and had a response from the team - Sorry to hear you were not happy with our service. The fault reported over the phone was that your Washer dryer was not drying, on attending the engineer has diagnosed that the thermostat had tripped, this was reset and looking at the system the appliance should be working ok. If this is not the case, we can look at rebooking an engineer to attend and look at the appliance again for you. The fixed labour fee of £81.54 covers the initial diagnoses and further visits if required - any parts would have been an additional cost to this. I will however pass you feedback to the management team and investigate the phone call for the pricing which you should have been provided on the call.

The first person who called to assess the problem told me that the seal was broken, which it was, and that was causing the problem. A new one was ordered and fitted by a different man, who, although very nice, didn’t check that the machine was fixed. It wasn’t. Another visit was arranged and I was told that the circuit board was no doubt the issue. I decided to replace the dishwasher rather than spend more money on it.

It transpired that our unit had been switched off at the mains plug on the wall. We should have checked this but I would certainly think the engineer would look to see if there was an issue at the mains too and would have seen this was the issue. It was only when someone else came into try and assist that this was noticed.
