“We have always found the shop staff in Gerald Giles to be knowledgeable about their products and generally very helpful. This is one of the main reasons we use them. In this case we bought a new freestanding cooker to replace a built-in one. This meant precisely cutting away a bit of the existing worktop plus some chipboard at floor level. Gerald Giles were able to arrange this. The work was completed to a good standard and the cooker installed. I almost docked one star because, despite lots of notice, the people who turned up to install the cooker on the agreed day were not equipped to cut the worktop. There had apparently been a failure of communication within Gerald Giles. To their credit, a new date a few days later was quickly agreed upon, and all ended happily.”

“The tv was terrible it had the sound of a child’s toy, bought it through the internet, bad mistake. This tv is not the standard of Snellings, Mr Roy Snelling would not ever have sold an appliance of that standard. I did receive a refund after a lot of arguing, they did not want to refund the delivery and installation charge but eventually did.I was disappointed as I have always been to Snellings for my electronics and that’s been for the last 55 years.”
