I was in the process of extending my holiday and requested my insurer to give me info on what was not/what was covered in my insurance policy and how much would it cost to cover to extend my policy to cover an extra 2 weeks (max 45 days). The gentleman I spoke to basically told me his company could not stop me going on holiday and then read out a long list of exclusions and to me it sounded like if I went on holiday, I had no cover. I then went on Compare the Market and Homeprotect was at the top of the list so I completed an online request for a quote and mentioned my unoccupied period. The resulting quote not only covered the unoccupied period with what seemed fewer exclusions but was also a lot cheaper than I was paying. As they say a 'No-brainer'. I'm over £100.00 better off and with a more acceptable list of exclusions for an unoccupied property. Plus, Customer Services were helpful when contacted for assurance that my policy would/did cover the arranged unoccupied period.

Came up as the cheapest quote even with an element of extra emergency cover as standard. Polite, well-versed staff member spoken to over the phone who was very familiar with the product.

Good site easy to navigate unfortunately it didn't hold all information when I pressed buy so need to call them to update information so please be aware. May just be my phone but not sure!

Have been with Homeprotect for a few years, when my autorenewal notice came up I tried quite a few other quotes but could not match my renewal price with Homeprotect so accepted the renewal.

I have only just taken out a home insurance policy with HomeProtect so can only comment on using their website to get and accept a quote. I found the website straight forward and my insurance has just started , so all good so far.

Renewed my insurance for the 3rd year and managed to save on my renewal through a call direct to Homeprotect. Very good customer care and service acknowledging a more competitive renewal could be achieved. Was also told there would be cash back of £65 to come through in a couple months from renewal so wait for this to come through. All in all easy process and paperwork emailed through on the day.

Your price was up from last year (why do insurance companies do this - because we are too inclined not to go thru the hassle to find other quotes I suppose) So your quote did not compare well with others We took the quote that offered the same cover but was substantially lower than yours

I spent some time talking to brokers and insurance companies to insure a timber lodge that will be left vacant for extended periods. I eventually came across Home Protect and found that they are able to insure the property at a price comparable with regular buildings insurance. I signed up immediately and feel very secure knowing that the policy is underwritten by AXA.

Good consistent value for home insurance....but one negative that happens every year because mine is due for renewal at the start of the New Year, I phone about a week before Christmas to give new card details (you are unable to do this online) and then HomeProtect go and take the payment right away instead of nearer the renewal date of 9 January! I phone before Xmas so I don't forget if I need to give new card details, I certainly don't expect my payment to be taken 3 weeks earlier than expected

We required home insurance for our Dads property following his passing but his current company were unable to provide cover as his home is obviously now unoccupied. I found Homeprotect and their website was very easy to use and I feel safe using them as underwritten by AXA.

Fortunately we have not needed to make a claim so I cannot comment about that but when we originally wanted insurance we went to Homeprotect as they are one of the few that will insure properties with more that 4 or 5 bedrooms. The pricing is competitive and you can select exactly what cover is required so your not paying for cover that's not applicable to you. We moved to a 4 bedroom flat so only needed contents insurance and still found Homeprotect was very competitive.
