“Pleased with end product (arbour seat), but delivery service could only tell us which day it was being delivered, meaning someone had to wait in all day; then they left it at the front door! The arbour seat took two of us around 2 hours to construct, one working with a drill and the other with a cordless screwdriver. One or two parts are a poor fit (back cross frame and some of the roof slats), and there's been an excessive use of staples in the packaging for transport, but overall it looks as good as it did on-line and I'm pleased with the end result. Since some of the wood is a bit rough, I may sand it in parts and then paint it, but will see what it's like after a few days/weeks.”

“Pleased to have found they stocked the garden item I was looking for and at a competitive price plus free P&P. The reason I only gave 3 stars was the non existence of any communication of the dispatch and delivery of the item which the majority of the firms I have purchase from always provide this.”

Dear Valerie Thank you for your email. With smaller products, such as garden hand tools, we do dispatch on a quicker service with external carriers, to maintain quick and free delivery. Whilst larger products like summerhouses, sheds, and furniture are booked in for delivery to ensure you can arrange a date, in this instance the service ensures that savings are passed on to you. “Delivery was very quick but what I was told saying they would contact me when it was coming did not happen also was told a note was put on about leaving it if I was not in that did not happen luckily they delivered it late and I was home from work if these things happened I would of given 5 star rating”

“Product Quality average it had a broken piece of rattan on one of the chairs and an exposed nail, delivery good but no phone call or txt as quoted in order it just arrived lucky we were in.”

“Hi Customer Service Your delivery. Was prompt. However the product was not in good condition. The side panels were so warp, that I had to. brace both sides and screw into a fixed position the removable panel Kind regards John Blake”

“Poor description of dimensions of gate, ie level of cross members for hinges, and dimensions and construction of gate (I will have to take it apart and completely reconstruct for it to fit my gateway) on the good side, v prompt delivery and very good value (should this be the gate you want)”

“The delivered chairs were as ordered. Unfortunately the protective packaging was quite damaged in places as was all the polythene sheets covering both the chairs and cushions. One of the packaged chairs was inside wet with water. Not major issues but annoying when you spend a couple of hundred pounds.”

“Everything very easy until delivery. They only deliver on a wide window on weekdays for large items, so it took a while to arrive. One it did, it was fine.”

“2 Star Communication between Garden Street and the courier was minimal. After emailing our delivery requirements and receiving confirmation from Garden Street the courier still tried to deliver the shed while we were on holiday. Also requested small van as our property is approached by a narrow lane. Did not happen. Still awaiting product review.”

We do pass on all delivery notes and requirements to the carriers, and although we cannot guarantee a specific vehicle is used for delivery, we are disappointed to hear of the inconveniences that may have been caused by this. Good Afternoon, Thank you for your feedback. We do use external carriers for our deliveries, and some of the smaller items are sent via Royal Mail, which do not always require a booking on call. “Customer service staff were friendly and efficient. The website showed delivery in 3 to 5 days which was quicker (the price was competitive) than the competitors websites which is why we ordered from Garden Street. When we didn't hear from them regarding delivery we contacted them. Delivery would be was delayed as they didn't have stock and the store would be delivered direct from Rawlinson when they had stock. Overall we were pleased with the service but feel that the website was deceptive. Delivery from Rowlinson was on the day specified.”
