I bought a Organics compost bin from you. It arrived a bit battered and the lid was well scuffed. Now I have no idea who beat up my compost bin Garden Street or the delivery agent. However as it is a bin that sits behind my shed out of site, I cleaned off the rough edges and bent straight the base and used it.

Great product, right price. Only let down was that it arrived damaged!!! But replacement was sent out same day. Thanks to all. David Worcester

No problem with Garden Street who were attentive at all times and the quality of the goods is fine but the courier DX were beyond hopeless

Ordering was easy. After that, silence. No notification of product despatch or delivery, which seems pretty much the norm. Heavy goods left by Yodel in a really inconvenient place. Came in 4 separate packages, however one was not delivered and had to wait a few more days for it to be dumped in a similar place! Haven't opened the packages but a really disappointing experience once the order was placed.

I have mixed opinions. I am (so far) very pleased with the product, and at the time of ordering, I was very impressed with the service I got from the company, and the fact that someone bothered to phone me back - twice, in fact, with an update. That was very good customer service, and I appreciate it. However, there are two aspects that made me very unhappy. The first is with the delivery so some of my comments relate to CityLink, not to Garden Street. CityLink told me they were going to deliver on the Thursday which was no good for me. My conversations with Garden Street said they could not change it to Friday, so he would pass on instructions as to where to leave the item. What actually happened is that they wouldn't leave the parcel without it being signed for. I waited all day on Friday; mid-afternoon I phoned to find out what was happening. They said they had tried to phone me (I had no missed calls) so, as it was a bank holiday weekend, it was actually Tuesday when it arrived. I was very disappointed with the wait, and do feel that communication between the parties could be a lot better. The second disappointment was that, when it arrived, it was flat-packed, plus it needed two people and a drill to make some necessary holes. None of this is mentioned on the website. So I had to wait a further week before I could get a friend round to help me. All in all, it was a very disappointing start. The log store is now built and am awaiting my first delivery of logs. At that point I will be able to test its strength, capacity etc.

I ordered the Rowlinson Single Bin Store, it came fairly quickly although there was no notification of when it would come! so needless to say it came when I was out!. Not sure if it is a good or a bad thing as the delivery driver left it around the back of the house, good as in I didn't have to have it redelivered but bad as in it was raining. The Store comes flat packed and covered in plastic, the wood was wet and it was all damp and steamed up inside + had gone green in places!. I finally got around to putting it together after drying it out!.....I was putting it off after seeing the back of screws etc that it came with!. I started by rubbing it down to try and remove the green bits (still visible) then gave it a coat of wood stain. This is where the fun begins!, you need to drill pilot holes for some of the screws for a start! which I was not expecting and whilst talking about the screws they seam to be of low quality and using my electric screwdriver and later drill as it was not up to the job! I found that the heads would chew up no matter how careful I was or which screw attachment I used, not great. Some of the screws that hold the sides and back together are located in such a way that its hard to get your screwdriver to them directly thus chewing the screw heads up even more. After a lot of swearing and help from a friend Its all pretty much together!, needs a couple more screws in the back to back it sturdy!, I admit that I'm not Mr DIY but could be a tad easier I.e. more pre drilled pilot holes and better quality screws please . Anyway now its together and stained it does look good and my wheelie bin fits a treat, only downside is that the lid does not close properly so I will need to shave some wood off!. All in all once finished its an ok product and good value from here, could have done with better communication on delivery and the previously mentioned quality issues but other than that I would recommended it!.

Overall, quite pleased with products. One was damaged but a replacement piece is on it's way from the supplier. We had problems with the delivery of one of the items which is why we haven't rated any higher. Although garden street were polite, there is definitely room for improvement with regards to rectifying and solving problems experienced by customers.
