“Rowlinson Winchester Arbour. First the plus points. The design is unusual and attractive. When you have finally assembled it, it looks good and does the job. Customer service Neither Gardenstreet or Rowlinson seem to take any interest in the process of getting your arbour to you. I waited seventeen days before receiving delivery information, and that came from the carrier. Quality The quality of the timber would give firewood a bad name. Consequently warped parts are a problem. In my case one of the cross pieces on one side was warped, making fitting it into the rebate very challenging. Quite a lot of the fixing is done with feeble wire staples. One of the seat bearers had warped and pulled away from the staples, needing to be screwed into place. I have little confidence in the long term viability of these staples, and expect to need to reinforce things with screws as time goes by. Assembly Warped parts aside, if you are adaptable and have a reasonable level of DIY experience assembly is not difficult, and single handed assembly, as I did, is quite feasible. I have seen a number of reviews saying the instructions are poor, but provided you understand basic woodworking terminology they are adequate. I printed and laminated the instructions which was a life saver when I assembled my arbour on an intermittently wet day. Conclusion For the price the quality of timber and manufacture should be better, but as I said previously the finished result is attractive.”

“The gazebo was very well made and we are happy with it. Unfortunately the assembly instructions were useless. The photos were blurred and unintelligible and the written instructions and diagrams required a magnifying glass to see them ,but even at that they were unintelligible also”

“I ordered a Palram Mythos Greenhouse 6X8 from Garden street on the 5th June and it was delivered on the 7th June which is amazing!! Myself and my partner assembled it in a day and i am absolutely delighted with the quality and the sturdiness of the greenhouse and it is a decent size as well. I would recommend this greenhouse to anyone.”

“All good, bought an eight by four foot metal shed, arrived on time and was what you would expect for £225. Took a while to put together but OK for what it is. A bit misleading with the base instructions on concrete, doesn't allow for making beside a wall and moving it closer when finished.”

“I was told item had been despatched then 5 days later I was told item was not in stock and would be despatched a weeks time = 12 days late. I don’t like being lied to. Good job I used PayPal to pay so I got my money back. So beware Garden Street Not a trustworthy company to deal with use Amazon instead.”

“Happy with Gazebo which is good quality and competitively priced. The only thing stopping a 5 star review was the item which is very heavy was delivered by one man. He struggled to lift it by himself and as a result could not remove it from the van without risk of damaging item. We had to help lift it into the house.”

“I am delighted with the fencing and it was delivered inside the estimated time given. The only thing I didn't get was notification when it was being delivered. It didn't matter as it happened but I could have been on holiday. That apart everything is fine.”

“I ordered by phone and requested a specific delivery date and was assured that this would be done. However the pallets were delivered too early and had to be sent back, then were delivered on the correct day. On your delivery info sent with the confirmation it stated that the delivery co. would be in touch with me by mobile on the day. This did not happen on either occasion.”

“Garden set was despatched quickly & was exactly what we were expecting -when it arrived. Good price to. However I was disappointed with the delivery courier used. Courier turned up with no prior notification. We were out so courier badgered elderly neighbour to leave 3 large packages with him. Neighbour couldn't move packages so they were left in his front garden. Neighbour didn't inform us he had packages for 2 days. Packages got wet & could have been stolen? So I feel courier should have informed us of intended shipment (they had our email & tel number) & we could have arranged to be in for delivery.”
