Contacted the company to check they had an item in stock as I needed it as a birthday present. Had a message to say the item would be delivered on a specific day and my tracking no might take one working day to become active. On the delivery date I contacted the company at about 4pm to ask for the tracking no as I hadn't actually been sent one but they were unable to give me any information at all about tracking or where my parcel was as they obviously don't carry stock themselves. The parcel was eventually delivered at about 6.30pm and as I was signing for it I happened to notice that the item was not what I had ordered so I had to refuse delivery. Obviously by this time I did not have time to re-order elsewhere. Although I would not use this company again they did organise my refund quickly!

Dear Mrs Shaw, Thank you for your review and feedback. Unfortunately, when placing your order on the evening of the 9th March, this product did miss the allocation of stock for orders of that product overnight. We did contact you at the earliest opportunity on the office reopening, and cancelled this order for a full refund as per your request on the morning of the 1st working day. We do appreciate your frustration with this order being a birthday present, but due to the sheer popularity of this product we had more orders than stock levels overnight, which meant that all orders could not be fulfilled. We do of course, immediately mark items out of stock upon the office opening, and offer the customer a choice of alternative products, or continuing for a prompt delivery as soon as this rearrives into stock. No alternative product was dispatched as the order was completely cancelled, so we are unsure what delivery was rejected as this was not a consignment from ourselves, nor were we contacted to advise on tracking information. The box had obviously been opened as just sellotaped together and screws were just loose in box with some missing. Allen key not adeqwuate for the bigger screws.

Unfortunately I wasn't told that the delivery man couldn't bring the product into the house and so had it delivered initially on a day when I was alone with the baby and so I had to rearrange delivery. The second time they came on the wrong day, not the one that I had asked for, and so I was at work, and so they ended up delivering it to my elderly neighbour; interestingly the delivery man did bring it into the house for her. You need to make it very clear that it needs to be delivered on a day when someone can bring it in off the pavement.

Good Morning, Thank you for your review. Although the delivery drivers can bring in items to a property, unfortunately this is at their own discretion. We do state on our order confirmation (which you receive when placing your order) that larger items are delivered to the nearest point of your property/kerbside, and it is unfortunate in this instance the goods were brought into the property, as was the drivers choice. We are glad that the second time, the delivery driver did bring this into your neighbours property, which again is at their discretion. We do prefer this, but also have to respect the drivers choice in unloading. We do use external carriers to pass on further savings with this product, and apologise for them showing up on the wrong day. This is something which we are looking into, as no doubt caused confusion for yourself and your neighbour. I had made an order then waited 7 days nothing was delivered, i checked my emails and nothing so i had make a phone call to see where my order was, there was obviously a problem and i was told they would ring me back i waited for call but had nothing on checking my emails i found they had emailed to say it was out of stock and would not be in stock till sometime in january 2016 !! had i have not rang im wondering when you would if ever bothered to inform me !!

Dear Natalie, Thank you for your recent review. Due to the surge in demand this product did unfortunately miss the allocation of stock, at which point contact was attempted with yourself. In these instances, we always prefer to offer the customer the opportunity to wait for delivery, which in this case was next month, advise of suitable alternative products if applicable, or to receive a full refund to the account of purchase. We contacted you on the 4th December, and the 11th December, on the email provided on the order but unfortunately did not receive any response from yourself. With this in mind, a full refund was issued and this order cancelled. We do appreciate your frustrations in this item going out of stock, and apologise for the inconveniences caused. Supplied 5 fencing panels, 1 was clearly faulty with the slats installed incorrectly, showing jagged cut edges. GardenStreet refused to exchange the faulty panel - they would only offer a collection and refund for the faulty panel. Not helpful - I needed 5 panels, not 4.

The quality of the product I purchased was very good, however it had a few missing items. The other let down was the late delivery! I was given a delivery date and stayed in all day, but the product did not arrive until the following day.

It took 10 days for us to find out you could not supply the product we ordered. Very poor service. Enough said, don't ypu think.

I have not had any dealings with the company other than ordering two products. The products themselves are poor quality and one of the backing sheets to the bird box was not intact.

Wrong goods sent - twice. Refunds delayed because of poor communication between Garden Street and a 3rd party supplier. Matter resolved eventually with credits and refunds

Greenhurst Storage Organiser Cabinet I loved the design and colour Mahogany was a match to what i already had. Easyish to put together, very sturdy, but was so statically covered in polystyrene bits and dust i didnt notice the damage till ide wiped it down. I did write a letter back complaining but never got a reply.

I was very disappointed as I ordered metal metposts and anchor bolts so as i could erect a fence.I received the metposts after 4 days but did not get anchor bolts even though I ordered together.When I contacted them they assumed I had received them.I had to go and buy anchor bolts from another company so as I could finish the job. I eventually received the anchor bolts after I had completed the job.I now have 32 anchor bolts that are of no use to me now ,Do not think I will be rushing to shop here again.

The table and chairs was a great price however I was missing some screws to build the table. When I contacted garden street they first sent me the wrong ones. But they did then send out a complete pack of spares. Managed to complete the table a week later. Would buy from them again

Disapointed. The website stated 3-7 working days for delivery. Just had call from courier and it will arrive after 15 days! No calls or emails from garden street to inform me or explain the reason.

Dear Neil. Due to the size of the item it must be booked in for delivery. Unfortunately in the case of your order the booking was attempted with you but the booking calls were unanswered (Attempts: 28th Aug, 29th Aug, 2nd Sept & 3rd Sept), or perhaps the best number wasn't provided. (No mobile given). Had these calls been answered the delivery would have been booked in much sooner. We do feel that we have done everything in our control to get this delivered as promptly as possible. I ordered a log store with a 7 working day delivery time. After 11 days and no contact at all from Garden Street I rang to find out where it was. They enquired with their supplier and called me back to let me know it's temporarily out of stock and should be in some time next week. I should get a call from their supplier to arrange delivery when they get it in. So I'm assuming that will be another week or so from the call, if I get it. I'm really cross. They had my £135 on the 16 Aug, it's September tomorrow and I still have no real idea when I will receive the goods I paid for. Not to mention the load of logs that are now blocking my drive as I have nowhere to store them. I probably wouldn't have written this review, other than the fact I received an automated "tell us what you thought!" email this morning. So here's what I think - I wouldn't use Garden Street again and won't be recommending them to anyone.

Ordered a Port Royal Cube patio set - they duly took my money and promised delivery within 7 working days. When it did not materialize after this time I contacted them and was informed they could not give me a delivery date. However they did refund my money fairly quickly when i cancelled the order.

I received an email to say delivery would be 21/8. I had a phone call to say delivery would be 21/8 - I asked what time, was told couldn't say. I took the day off work. No delivery. Not happy. No phone call, nothing.

I ordered a small log store on 9th July and finally received on 26th July after approximately 20 phone calls to both supplier and couriers. The product was fine but the delivery was totally unsatisfactory. I lost a days pay by taking a day off work to accept delivery which had been promised for 17th July - no show! It became an expensive log store when all was taken into consideration. The expected delivery time was 5-7days, 17 days later, numerous phone calls and lost wages left me an unhappy person.

We do understand there were some problems with this order, in that box 2 of 2 arrived (within the scheduled time), but box 1 of 2 had been misplaced by the carrier. The delivery times are in working days, but we appreciate that putting this right took this slightly over the estimate. Unfortunately sometimes things such as this can happen, but we hope that we did everything we could to resolve this. We are pleased and aware that box 1 of 2 has now arrived. Still haven't received goods, have telephoned you but only told that it's up to the delivery co. And as the store box is not being delivered to home address but to my caravan I need to know date so that I can be there, please advise.

Hi Ms. Young, Thanks for getting in touch but it sounds like there has been some confusion here. As you have chosen your item to be assembled, this incurs a longer lead time and as such, will be with you around 28 working days from when you ordered. The fitter will be in contact with you directly nearer to the end of this lead time to arrange a suitable date to deliver and assemble your item (on the same day). Soil of decent quality, seems the bags are quit full too. However, delivery driver couldn't be bothered to put the delivery on the tarmac drive resulting in me having to shift over two tonnes of soil to get it off the street. Had multiple deliveries of sand in tonne bags from other companies and they have all delivered on drive. Will go to one of the big players next time.
