Sonny always went over and beyond for us all and did everything he could to make our experience the best one possible. I would 100% recommend this trip to anyone looking into traveling. As somebody who plans to do a lot more solo traveling it was a great first step.
Being part of a group on this trip was an excellent way to make friends and feel safer when traveling.
Whilst you had freedom on some days to do as you wish the planned activities included in the price were an amazing way of exploring different parts of the Thai culture.
Mr Patrick (our tour guide) was absolutely incredible- I couldn't imagine any one better to have toured us around this beautiful country. He was always there when we needed him and recommended so many wonderful things that we would have otherwise missed. Can’t wait for a re-union soon.

“The trip was fantastic, every day was filled with wonderful activities and once in a life time opportunities. The chill days were also perfectly timed and appreciated! The best part of the trip for me was Chang Mai, to be able to spend the day with elephants and the home stay was a magical time. What made the experience over all was the tour guide Nyla, she wasn’t just a guide but a friend, a nurse, a chef and an entertainer! “I am so thankful for the people and memories that have been made on the Thailand adventure trip. This trip has created lifelong memories and I would say that was down to Nylas care and passion. Nylah was always proactive, selfless and an overall amazing tour who GAP360 are lucky to have apart of her team. She was not just a tour guide but a friend.
The main highlights of the trips consist of visiting:
- chiang mai elephant sanctuary
- The home stay
- Pi Pi Islands
- Koh Sak
- Mac Bay resort for its stunning views.
But I also do think there are a changes that need to be made. A lot of our tour group have said similar issues such as the lack of knowledge of how much money you actually need. For example, the constant money being spent on taxis to get to places which we thought were included and the prices of these taxis consistently changed? and the location of the hostels did not help as we were so far out of the centre we could not explore without one.
If you go on this tour the budget is over £800 easily. I liked the experience of going to the floating bunglows which enticed me to do this trip and we did make the best of the situation. But the activities were basic and we ended up making our own fun with a floating log and the rooms very unhygienic and cockroaches were everywhere. I felt the safari that was sold on the gap360 website is very different to reality.

“Had the most wonderful 25 days! Every day was great, I think there were a nice amount of free days as well. Chang Mai was my favourite part of the trip, being able to spend time with the elephants and trekking up to the home stay was a once in a lifetime experience that that not much can compare too!
The whole trip was made by the guide Nylah, she is so hard working, always on top form making us laugh, looking after us when we were feeling down. She never failed to show up for us with a smile ok her face! I will miss her a lot and hope that one day we can meet again! Thankyou so much Nylah my queeeen!!
