The shoes were much too big not the correct size at all. Then to pay to send them back is a bit unfair. I have bought your shoes many times but I will be buying from a shop not online anymore.

Dear Anonymous, Thankyou for your review. We offer a fantastic free delivery service to our customers and we are sorry you were disappointed there was a fee to pay to return the shoes. Items can be returned free of charge to a Charles Clinkard store and you have a 35 day time period in to which to return them to us fo a refund or an exchange. When I clicked to pay for my shoes, I got an error message. I contacted the shop and they sorted it out, but I didn't receive a proper email confirmation of my order for 2/3 days.

I was disappointed to find that I had to pay for a return. When buying shoes online it's so hard to tell if they will fit so I might need to order more than one pair.

We offer free delivery within the UK (excluding Channel Islands) as well as to any of our stores and CollectPlus locations, all of which are available options on our basket page. Next day delivery is available on selected products, which is highlighted upon a colour and size being selected. Our returns policy is 35 days of receipt. If you are not completely satisfied with your product(s) we are more than happy to provide a refund or exchange. You are entitled to return your order to any of our stores or to our depot. Please ensure your product(s) are in original unworn condition. You can now return your order to us via CollectPlus. If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase you are more than welcome to return it to us within 35 days of delivery. This is as long as the product has not been worn outside, and is still in the original condition. We do expect items to be returned with the original box and packaging. We can offer refunds or exchanges on UK orders for products that are unsuitable and are within the 35 days. We do not pay the postage costs of returns. This was the second pair I'd bought. First pair from a shop. This pair online. The strap can away from the sole in both cases. Clearly a production fault. Should have been withdrawn from sale.

I had an email to say my items had been sent and would be delivered the next day. i was also advised that items could be tracked. I found it impossible to track other than that parcel was posted and it was next day delivery. I waited in all day and it did not arrive. The next day I had to go out and it was taken back to the sorting office. I then had to go and pick up. When I ordered before I was able to track every step of the way. Not Royal Mail I hasten to add.

Dear Anonymous, Thankyou for your review. We are sorry you were disappointed with the delivery of your order. Your parcel was sent via Royal Mail and an email is passed across to the customer to let them know and also to provide the tracking. This was via Royal Mail 48 hour which requires a signature. The tracking via Royal Mail only gives updates on where it is and doesnt allow you to track its progress. As Royal Mail do not leave parcels in safe places for customers, if the customer is not available they will pop this back to the local Delivery office and drop a card through the door. We have alternatives for delivery, Interlink offer an hour time slot and also the option of a safe place, when replacing another order please send an email to sales@clinkard.co.uk and we will accomodate this for you, all you would need to do is ensure the safe place( eg neighbour, proch) is added and this will be processed for you. The Gabor Purpose are listed as a wide fitting sandal as per Gabor guidelines however we cannot advise if these would be suitable for everyone with a wide foot. My telephone order was lost TWICE - only spotted when no acknowledgement was emailed. Succeeded on third attempt to place order. Once this was sorted arrived next day.

I have been this style of gabor sandals for many ,years and found them the most comfortable quality. However, when this pair arrived I was surprised that the insoles were not the same . They are not a soft suede leather but a bright orangey colour which feels like it is PU. I have just worn them for the first time and my feet are aching horribly and feel like a burning sensation on the soles. Please can you get in touch and let me know if they are leather soles as I am so disappointed with them. Last summer I bought three pairs from you in different colours and these pink ones were a treat this year. My feet are killing me!

Hello, Thankyou for your review. We can confirm that the Gabor Lanzarote does have two different insoles, a leather and additionally a microfibre. The ones you purchased have the microfibre which makes them more breathable. We are sorry to hear they are not as expected and your comments have been passed back to the manufacturer. Hello, Thank you for your review. We are not aware of any shoe sizes being changed. The styles do vary depending ont he range, for example the comfort range will be more roomy than the fashion range. First of all just want to say I am delighted with my shoes. The collect plus experience was dire. I didn't receive the email with the code I needed to collect the shoes plus the garage in question said they hadn't taken receipt of the shoes when they had. They were rid, unhelpful and unpleasant. I'll never use them again.

Beautiful colours / pattern and lovely soft leather. Shoes looked quite wide from the shape of the sole. But sadly they were too narrow. Suggest you provide them in a variety of width fittings. You kindly reimbursed me for the cost of returning the shoes which was very much appreciated.

They are a popular style due to the arched footbed they have and also for their resilience. Customers return year upon year to purchase this style and the colours offered this season are beautiful. The shoe is lovely, however the top/front section gets quite narrow, yet the description states 'wide-fitting'. Also, it's a bit of a deterrent buying shoes online then having to pay to return them, if I'd ordered more shoes the return bill would have been quite high.

Hi, Thank you for your review. We offer free delivery as this benefits all of our customers and ask if customers cover the cost of returns. We do realise that if there are a few to return it can become quite costly if you do not have a Charles Clinkard store near to you, so we have the facility to buy a Collect+ label on our website for £4.09 and this covers up to 10 kilo of returns. I have previously bough size 8 (from John Lewis) and the fit was fine.These shoes are not same size and I have to send them back at my own expense. I have now ordered a different style in two sizes and I will return one pair, again at my expense

Thank you for your email. There isn't an exact conversion from UK to EU, and for this reason you will see variations from brand to brand. The leather of these boots are hard and not the usual soft quality I have come to expect from Gabor. Also, the heel height is described as 6.5 cm but when I measured them they were much higher, 7.62 cm. They had to go back as no good for me.

Nice and light shoes but very poor fir. Came too big and had to return them. they were also a wide fit. Fast delivery but despite the high price had to pay for return postage. I assumed, for this price, the return will be free but it wasn't. If ever decide to buy this brand will make sure I will make a purchase via retailer which offers free returns.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that these shoes were not a good fit for you and that you have had to return them for a full refund. There are not a wide fit shoe but a standard fit so will look at other customer comments and see if there is a common theme with regards the fitting. We deliver all of our orders in the UK free of charge and also if an exchange is needed again send out postage free. This we feel benefits all of our customers and not just those who wish to return. Many customers order more than one item knowing that they will need to return the unwanted items to us. We do ask customers to cover the cost of returns and you can buy a label from our website for £4.09 which will cover up to 10 kilo allowing you to send several items back in one go. We also have Charles Clinkard stores around the country where you can take your order to if ordered from the Gabor website where you will receive a full refund so long as the item is unworn and you have had the item for less than 35 days. The delivery company failed to deliver on the appointed day. I rearranged and they failed again to deliver despite sending confirmation for the rearranged day. That was two days I was stuck in the house. I then notified them of a safe place for them to leave my package as I couldn't stay in any more. They disregarded this and instead delivered my packages to two separate neighbours on two separate days. They delays and inconvenience are not acceptable. You should use Royal Mail.

We use 3 couriers, Royal Mail, DPD and UK mail. You can also choose a collect+ delivery which will go to a pick up point local to your home.
