Very disappointing the black suede boots I ordered were damaged on the outside of both boots had shiny marks near sole area, unfortunately trainers didn’t fit plus these items have cost me £15.45 to return through the Post Office

Thank you for your review. We apologise that your boots had marks on them, this should not have happened and we apologise for your disappointment. We are sorry to hear that you have paid £15.45 to return these items. The Post Office has different levels of postage and a second class label would be around £5 for a package of this size, and around 80p more with tracking. Next day and signed for are more expensive. You can purchase a Collect+ label on our website for £4.49 which covers returns up to 10 kilo. This gives you a tracking number so you can see when they arrive, or you can take your order back to any Charles Clinkard store. Alternatively you can use Evri, or Yodel youself arranging a return where you buy the label and they return the item to us. Both of these are a reasonable price service. I never received the shoes. I contacted Charles Clinkard who asked for more specific delivery instructions, which I provided. Was promised the shoes Monday (yesterday). They never arrived and I have just received notification that they have been returned to you! I didn't even get to try them on! Terrible service

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to read about the problem with your delivery. It appears DPD were unable to locate your address, despite the extra information you provided us with. After attempting a couple of times, the package was returned to us. I can understand it's disappointing. The stock is still available should you wish to re-purchase via our website. If you'd prefer, you can request a delivery via Royal Mail. Please place your order and contact Customer Services with your reference, and we can arrange this for you. Bought some shoes for my wife, when they arrived we were surprise to find that they were exdisplay. one shoe had faded and you could see that it had been wore. These were advised as new which clearly they weren’t costing £95.00 very poor

It is very difficult to rate the shoes. My first pair was amazing and long-lasting, I attended so many parties and received many compliments. Unfortunately, the last purchase was a disaster. Lovely looking sandals but they last only 2 minutes, one of the straps is unattached from the sole (I'm not sure why it was not glued or sewed properly). I did not expect that for a £100 pair of sandals. I am highly disappointed with the quality, and I am not sure if I will be back again.

I am usually a size 5 but sandals were small fitting. Won't be shopping from your site again.

Sadly you sent me mismatched sandals. One was a 39, the other a 37!! I'm waiting to hear how you intend to rectify this.

The shoes were too big and the returns policy is a nightmare. It is very difficult to return your items. The website links are not highlighted. Do yourself a favour and do not buy anything online from this company.

Shoes gorgeous but too big so returned. Return costs are not paid which prevented me from exchanging in the event of another return and had I have been aware of this in the first instance I would not have ordered.

I purchased a pair of sandals from yourselves only to find that they were 2 different shades of brown absolutely very disappointed so I returned them to Clinkards who were very apologetic and they have reordered another pair for me so I will wait and see not a happy customer a5 the moment!

I would love to give a star but can’t do minus five. The shoes delivery took time, they do not fit and I sent them back. Returns take ages. Send them back on 3 May and still didn’t received compensation email, but received confirmation email for another return which I sent back a couple of weeks ago. All returns have to pay on my own costs. I do not recommend buy Gabor shoes online unless you are 100% sure they will fit.

Where's my review? It was so damning that I guessed they chose not to publish it. In a nutshell: ill fitting uncomfortable shoes. Came USED with a note saying if I return they must be unused and I MUST PAY for return delivery on what's effectively a defective product. The air is blue around me. What the h planet are you on Gabor? First and LAST I order from you. Absolutely appalling service to beat the worst.

I am actually taking the time to write this review nearly a year after buying the Sheila Ladies Casual Trainers in hopes of warning others not to buy them! Never have I had such uncomfortable, pinching shoes that fail to soften over time. They are the correct size but no matter how I have tried to wear them in continue to cause blisters and rubbing due to the poor design. Do not buy these shoes!!!

Lovely shoes but I bought the wrong size, so I was not happy that I couldn't return them to a concession for an exchange. As it was I sent them back for a refund - after travelling 20 miles to the concession. If I had been allowed to exchange the shoes for a smaller size at the concession I would have been a happy customer and kept the shoes. I was so disgruntled that simply settled for the refund and will not shop online with them again. I should say that the customer services assistant who emailed me when I was grumpy, was terrific - a great service from her. This company though needs to seriously look at its policy to not allow concessions to do returns and exchanges for stuff purchased online.

If we have sold out of stock in our warehouse, we do source pairs from our stores as each has a small holding warehouse to replenish their own stock.
