The shoes I purchased were marked on the leather strap, so I decided to return them. I had to pay for return delivery cost, completely unacceptable considering the cost of the shoes in the first place. I returned them via collect plus, which cost more than £4.

Unfortunately the shoes came up under a wide fit search, but they are not the usual g comfort wide fit so did not fit. So I have wasted about £6 in postage for something that was not appropriate to the website search.

I paid for next day delivery as I needed the shoes for my daughters graduation due to a foot operation I needed a wider fitting shoe I received an email to say the would not be delivered on time however customer service sorted it immediately

I bought 3 pairs of shoes in a size 5.5 knowing that your 6 is too big for me and was disappointed that 2 or the 3 were far too small. The realised you have to pay for returns which seems a bit harsh for a high value product.

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes in different sizes. Both cut into my instep and were immediately painful. Strangely, I have the same shoes in a different colour, which I bought in a shop, and they are extremely comfortable. I was also unhappy about having to pay for returns as shoes need to be tried on for comfort.

I was unhappy that the shoes were not supplied by you but by Charles Clinkard. I liked them but they did not fit me well and I was appalled to have to pay £8 to send them back Royal mail.

Talking to your receptionist who answered the telephone. I cannot understand why you advertise shoes as wide fitting when the lady kept saying "comfortable". I needed a wide fitting which the ones I ordered are not so I will have to return these. As I explained I have medical condition which has resulted in very swollen feet. I have always purchased Gabor so I will have to go and try them at my local stockist (as suggested by the lady) I have to say though that I would then purchase them from the shop

The style you purchased is classed as a wide fit (UK D), however it is not the widest fit Gabor make, this would be a UK D+. You have 35 days to return the item to us for a refund or exchange, providing it is unworn and in a good condition. You can return the item to a Charles Clinkard store or back to our Head Office. I have a pair of Gabor boot./shoes size six that fit well, so I ordered three more pairs of Gabor shoes in the same size, unfortunately however they were too tight. I am giving one star because I had to pay for the postage to return the shoes that did not fit. I will buy Gabor shoes again but since shoes are all about fit, and I might need to try more than once size, I will in future buy from a supplier who does not charge postage for returned items.

You can of course return to a store if one is near to you however there are cost efficient ways of sending back your order. I was not impressed with the member of staff who served me. She did not give me the right advice on size and fit, was not friendly and her only concern was to sell. Needless to say I returned the product the next day Again the person at the till was not too happy that I returned and kept insisting that I should look for another pair for exchange I expect a no question asked Return in any shop with any product within the terms and conditions

Went through full ordering process including checkout then got email to say not available. Then got email to say back in stock. Didn’t have sizes so ordered a small size to see if it fitted. It didn’t so I parcelled up to send back and then found I have to pay postage and recorded delivery recommended. When I originally read the website it said you could print off a label it did not say anything about paying postage.

I love the style of the Enfield boot and since I can always rely on perfect comfort from Gabor - half-sizes are a ‘must’ for me - I thought I would risk buying online. I have several pairs of similar styles by Gabor, but all were bought in store and tried on beforehand. Delivery was prompt and efficient. My complaint is with the condition of one of the boots and the frankly, outrageous returns policy by which I must pay to return a faulty product which ought to have been obvious to any self-respecting Quality Control Dept. before it was despatched. I can’t think of any other online retailer that requires its customers to pay postage for faulty returns. In this case, the right boot had scuffs to the patent toecap and cuff around the ankle; these would never have been on display in a store. The boots were bought for a particular occasion and to finish off an outfit. Reluctantly, I kept them rather than risk losing them altogether with time running out - and to avoid paying to post them back. However, I shan’t be buying from Gabor online again whilst this policy persists.

I ordered two pairs of boots. Only one pair arrived. I had to ring to ask why the other pair had not been sent and was told they were out of stock. Why was I able to order them in the first place? I was told an email had been sent to apologise for the cancellation of the order however I never received this.

This means that although you are welcome to place an order, we are unable to guarantee availability. We source stock through our warehouse and stores, we try to keep the website as up to date as possible and fully understand your disappointment. I’m always a size 6 but your size 6 shoes were just too big. I’ve re-ordered 5.5 in same styles. But it’s a real nuisance, especially as the 5.5 was in stock in navy the first time I ordered, but was out of stock on the second order, so I had to go for the black. I’m hoping the 5.5 won’t be too small.

Box arrived damaged although shoes were as described they were too narrow and didn’t fit so in order to return we needed to pay aprox £5 to send them back as there aren’t any Gabor stores in London

Your item was posted out using a Royal Mail tracked next day service, however we can see from the tracking that you did not receive the package the next day and your next day payment was refunded to you. This may have been due to the large volume of packages that Royal Mail have at this time of year with it being just a couple of days before Christmas and we are sorry that you did not have your order when you were expecting it. Found a lovely comfortable pair of shoes in my local store- Ilkley, but they didn't match. The sales lady tried to convince me that one had faded a bit due to being in the shop but in fact, one was black suede and the other blue. Found the shoes online and ordered them, paying extra for fast delivery only to find they were the same non- matching pair I'd already rejected. Spoke to a customer service person who was helpful and emailed a returns label. Meanwhile I had tracked down another pair in Wetherby, not that local, and the sales team couldn't have been more helpful. They took back the non- matching pair too. All this could have been avoided if the shoes had been checked before dispatch and I still got a bill for the express delivery charge!

Some styles of Gabor do come in additional width fittings however as size is personal we cannot guarantee each shoe will fit and the best way to find this out is to try for size.
