“The service was 2nd to none. My only criticism was that it was overpriced. But then shopping in Harrods is an experience one-off because I won't ever wrong fuel again in my life because I will avoid Shell Stations which caused the problem with their dumb stupid pump labelling. The diesel and petrol both have red strip labels so if you are not paying full attention you could easily wrong fuel. Shell please take a lesson from Esso on how to label the pumps. Thank you”

“Since arriving home with my touring caravan, I have spoken with my insurance company who said they would have sent a fuel fixer out to do exactly what you have done at £220.00, which is a fraction of the price you have charged. Even the RAC man who was no help said the RAC charge £270.00, but he couldn't get an answer. Could you explain why the difference in price is so great (£318.00 extra). As you can appreciate at the time, my concern was for my partner and two dogs who were stuck at Asda Grantham for 2/3 hours, and the worry of our touring caravan parked at Wagtail Country Park. It's not until now that we are home safely, I have had a chance to review what we paid, which seemed to be one of the easiest solutions because the car had never been started. We were very grateful to Andy who was very professional and competent at his work which he seemed to love, but I still think £638.00 is extortionate, so I would like a breakdown of the price we paid please, because I feel we have paid for a more demanding job, like the vehicle was started which was not the case. I would like to resolve this by you checking the job details which I have a copy, and you may consider an amount to refund to us, my Partner is 68 and I'm 62, and we have just spent 2/3rds of my partners state pension, to ensure we got home safely with our touring caravan. I feel your company prey on the vulnerable and are unscrupulous. Every time I have tried to send a complaint to you, your web page shows an error, your complaint form cannot be submitted, this must definitely help you with your scores of no complaints how convenient. I have sent a complaint to two different emails I found for your company and I am still awaiting a response. However you did send an email for me to review your company.”

“Was quoted £452 to help with my car after putting the wrong fuel in, was promised £20 worth of replacement fuel, engine clean and fuel drain, the engineer drained the fuel then put 60 miles worth of fuel in (according to dash) that’s not worth £20! then said I should fill up with fuel and find a garage to fit a new fuel filter or I could buy at an extra cost of £30 a bottle of fuel line cleaner and would only need to fill up with £25 of fuel and wouldn’t then need a new fuel filter, as a woman on my own I was already panicking so accepted the fuel cleaner and handed over £482 and so far all is well the point is I was charged £20 for fuel which I didn’t get and fuel line cleaner, that I was charged extra for I have a receipt for £482 and an invoice for £452 saying it was recommended I change the fuel filter.”

Regarding the fuel, this is a comment we often get, and is easy to explain. Under normal circumstances, when your fuel gauge is registering as "empty" there is still a few litres of fuel left there - depending on the size of the vehicle this can be 5-10 litres. When you add £20 to this, it will register on your gauge as £20 plus what was left in your tank. When we add fuel, after doing a drain that completely empties your tank, it looks like it is less than you are used to, because it is, as we are not adding to the 5-10 litres usually left in the tank. I hope that this makes sense. The fuel additive is a fuel system cleaner, which is not included in the price of the job - it is an optional item, and you can decide if you want it or not. We always advise that a fuel filter be changed after we have done a drain, at your earliest convenience - this is in the Permissions and Disclaimer notice that you would have read and signed as understood prior to any work being started on your vehicle.
