“A few safety issues were exposed during the process. Petrol was spilled all over the floor. The employee didn’t carry any sand to absorb any spills? I was asked to try and find some? There was a small child left in the vehicle all the time fuel was being transferred. The vehicle has markings on saying flammable liquids on board. Also no way of knowing how much fuel you are being charged for.”

Thank you for this review. As per the email conversation, we did have and used a spill kit and it was not thought that sand was required at tat time. Regarding the fuel, we are very transparent and will show any customer the fuel receipt. We understand that the engineer did have a receipt on scene and this could have been checked. Regarding the young child, this was a very unusual circumstance, and we have spoken to the engineer about it. Thank you for raising this point. Kind regards, Aftercare Team.

“The mechanic was excellent and had my car drained, flushed and working in 20 minutes! They even gave me a large discount, so very happy with their service. However, I had to phone the offices 3 times, because the mechanic took 3 hours and never phoned me, as per their protocol. If he had phoned me and let me know the delays, or apologised, then I would have given them 5 stars!”

“Very nice guy. Couldn’t fault him. But £400 call out fee is a joke. I was told by the call handler 330 on the phone but he didn’t think to tell me about the VAT taking it to 400. So for sucking fuel out of a tank and nothing elts it was very expensive but the fella that came was sound as can be”

“Job was done and did find the light on dash still on and the guy my said that the fuel filter need to be changed to stop the light on dash to go off but for the £618 you thought they change the filter for us it’s a lot of money and been nice to changed filter but it was fixed”

Thank you for your feedback, Ian. We’re glad the issue was resolved. The point you make regarding the fuel filter is not invalid, and we have looked at doing this work but the following are reasons why this would not work: 1. We would not be able to have each of our vans stocked with filters needed for the variety of cars/vans we deal with on a daily basis; 2. Many vehicles have filters which are not accessible to us, working roadside i.e. we are not able to raise the vehicles to access filters under the vehicle or even integrated in the fuel tank; 3. It is necessary to drive a vehicle for a short time once a fuel drain is done, so that any residual contamination is run through the filter - if this is not done, then the new filter would become slightly contaminated and you would get warning lights appearing, necessitating a second change of filter. “Very expensive for an hours work, I know everything cost a lot of money nowadays but it really feels like they are twisting the knife. I was expecting €400 but €600 just felt to much for a guy with a pump and tank in the van. Moral of the story don't put adblue in your fuel tank”

“Staff member who answered the telephone call for help, struggled with poor computer systems being slow to load Including the telephone system or telephone line that was poor (such that it made getting correct data re credit card details very difficult). Made whole aleady difficult situation at a motorway fuel station very stressful. The operative who attended the vehicle was very experienced and good at his job. We were told it would take an hour to get someone to our vehicles and that proved to be correct. We probably did the right thing in not moving or switching on the engine at all due to the advice of the fuel station staff. No such advice was given or was possible from your teleh9ne centre staff”
