Attending engineer ?? Had no clue what he was doing, I directed him on what he needed to do Car eventually ran but he did not get all diesel out and ran badly Took 3.5 hours to attend and expensive

Putting petrol into a diesel car is a disaster and if youre looking for a vulture to make your day even worse then go with this crowd. On the inital call I was given a quote of 430 quid and decided to check alternatives - including doing getting towed away and seeing if someone I know could do it - so they come back with 330 - knock off 100 quid by threatening to walk away. - The call out was late - and the job was done to expectation but its easy money for old rope and the initial price point is there to prey off people already in a vunderalble position - if you are reading this before you have made a payment - make a few phone calls and negotiate down - only use if your stuck.

Your engineer was ok however your tele sales work on people’s misfortunes and actually prey on there situation firstly by taking a deposit to trap the customer from going anywhere else then hitting you with a price that is double the market price trying to convince the customer they are getting a better service when really are not

Watch out for the cost and the description of what they will do for you. They don't clean out the tank as they say they will, they don't clean and flush the fuel lines as they say they will, they don't run a full engine diagnostic check as they say they will. However, they will arrive quickly and spend 45 minutes pumping the fuel out, add 10 litres of fuel at £3 per litre, get the car started with easy start or brake cleaner, and take advantage of a distress purchase and charge an exorbitant amount.

We’re sorry to hear you felt the service didn’t match what was described, and that the pricing seemed inappropriate. We take your feedback seriously and would like to review the details. In looking at your job, we added £30 of fuel - this would be at pump prices, not £3 per litre. The job notes do state that the tank, lines and filter were cleaned through. Of course we do not actually physically clean the tank as this would require removing it, but all contaminated fuel would have been removed. Per the job notes, your vehicle started easily, indicating that the work needed to resolve the misfuel mistake has been successfully done. Please contact us at aftercare@fuelfixer.co.uk so we can look into this further, if needed. Kind regards, Team Fuel Fixer
I will give a poor review because you said you’d be here at 5:00, but you arrived at 6:45.

Excellent service at a very high price. Not quite sure how they arrive at the price of £380.If you can please shop around.

Thank you for sharing your experience, Ian. Sorry to hear you felt the price was high, but very glad to hear that you felt the service was excellent =- good value for money! Kind regards, Team Fuel Fixer
When I phoned, I spoke to Charlie who was polite and helpful and told me that £100 would be taken to book the job. What he didn’t tell me was that this was non-refundable after 15 minutes. When I was able to get the RAC out within the hour and for £240 rather than £420 I phoned to cancel the job to be told I would lose the £100 paid. I highlighted to the manager I spoke with, Michael, that this was not explained to me and was told that it is included in their terms of conditions which was sent at the bottom of the text message confirming the job. They agreed to do it for £340 in the end and were out to be in 2 hours.

Thanks for sharing your experience, Nicki. We’re sorry for the confusion around the £100 booking fee and the non-refundable policy. We’ll review our communications to make the terms clearer in the future. Otherwise, glad to hear that Soma did get the job done well! Kind regards, Team Fuel Fixer
I phoned fuel fixer early afternoon. I was told if I wanted a drain that day it would cost over £600.If I could wait until the next day it would cost £380. Of course I waited until the next day. I was told the fix would be a drain, then something to do with cleaning the tank and the fuel feed to the engine. The engineer that came was very efficient. When he finished the drain I asked him what else needed to be done. He said there was nothing else to do and gave me 10 litres of diesel to get me to a garage. I think £380 pounds for a drain which took less than an hour is extremely excessive.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry that you feel that the price was too high but we see from the job sheet that the job was done on the 18th and that we have not heard from you since, meaning that the job was done fully i.e you got the service that you were charged for. The time on the job is never just the time on scene but has to include the time it takes to get to each customer, and the cost also includes VAT which we have to charge as we are a very successful company. Per the job sheet and receipt you were given £20 worth of fuel - sometimes it can seem like less as the tank is obviously completely empty when we have drained it, whereas it would usually have 5-10 litres left when your fuel gauge is saying "empty"! Hope all is well. Kind regards Aftercare Team Fuel Fixer Limited
Very expensive for the job and the guy on the phone made it sound like it was something bigger than what it was i felt like I had no choice but to get it done fast but after they did it i rang other companies who would of only charge £250 to £350. Instead of £880 talk about a over charge

Thank you for your review. We are not always the cheapest option, and we would encourage people to do their research re prices, but we do consider that we re the best. There are companies that won't touch an adblue contamination roadside, including the AA and RAC. We are happy to know that we sorted out your vehicle and got you back on the road. been charged 20 pound for diesel but i only received little tank of diesel.....
Helpful Report
Hi there, I understand your concern about the amount charged for the diesel you received. We do get this comment on occasion so I will attempt to clarify the matter - essentially, when your dash board is showing you that your tank is empty, there is usually 5-10 litres of fuel left there, below the sensor line. When we empty your tank, there is nothing left behind. So, when we add £20 worth of fuel, it's barely enough to register on the sensor, whereas when you put in £20, it is almost 1/4 of a tank ONLY because it is being added to the existing fuel that your sensor isn't telling you is still present. I hope that this does explain the matter to you. Kind regards, Fuel Fixer Team Warm regards, Team Fuel Fixer
Delay to arriving relative to suggested time when booking. Sig below stated fuel provided even taking into account statement revamping being given: barely made it to local station to refuel.
Helpful Report
Thank you for the review. We are sorry that the estimated time was not as accurate as we would like. Being roadside for the extra 30 minutes must have been stressful. On the fuel, your tank, when the sensor tells you that it is empty, still has 5-10 litres of fuel in it, whereas when we drain it, it is completely empty. Thus, when we add £20 of fuel, we are starting from the bottom of your tank and it will barely register on your sensor, as opposed to when you add £20 to the 5-10 litres already existing. Nonetheless, we are glad that you did make it to the nearest petrol station to fill up. Glad that your car was fully sorted out for you. Regards Fuel Fixer Team
Good service but over priced for the task and most people have few options

Hello Angus, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. We appreciate your feedback regarding the pricing. We are glad to hear you found our service good, and we hope to continue improving in order to provide even better value in the future. We do have a fair number of competitors, so we sorry that you were not able to find another company in your area that was suitable for your price bracket, but, if you're like most people, this type of incident simply isn't welcome at any price! Warm regards, Team Fuel Fixer
The engineer was great.however the company makes different quotes for the same service .for example they first would say a very high price , then slowly drop it.i was given a quote and my husband a lower one, and when i asked to pay the lower amount i was refused.

Hi Simona, Thank you for your feedback. We're glad to hear that our engineer provided great service. We understand your concerns regarding the pricing differences—it can be confusing when quotes vary. Our pricing structure is based on several factors, and we strive to ensure transparency. We appreciate your input, as it helps us improve our communication with customers. Wishing you all the best, Team Fuel Fixer
Pricing wasn't very clear. Thought it was going to be £330, but with fuel, the optional cleaner fluid (£30) and VAT it was closer to £450. Annoyed is an understatement. Was also told the whole system would be checked in that price, but they did nothing of the sort.

Hello Nick, Thank you for your feedback. We're sorry to hear that you found the pricing unclear and felt that the service did not meet your expectations. Due to your comment, the call was listened to and VAT was definitely stated as part of the pricing, and the additive is an optional extra that the engineer might recommend ie it is not part of the booking call. We do appreciate you bringing this to our attention, though - we will work on making things clearer. Warm regards, Team Fuel Fixer
I phoned and received a prompt answer. Explained my situation and unfortunately as I had driven 100 feet to make the phone call ( aware not meant to use mobiles in petrol stations) I was told the job would take longer as a more detailed clean would be required due to the wrong fuel being pulled through- so they would now have to do from the front of vehicle. They explained that it is a cheaper and easier job when they just have to drain the tank and would cost £150 including VAT but as it was too late I would now have to pay £378 due to increased work and this taking up to an hour to complete. The van took 20 minutes to get to me which was fantastic but then he told me that as I’d driven only 100 foot and being a hybrid car it would have used the electric- so just drained the tank taking 20 minutes. No extra work required and yet still £378 charge. Yes it was my fault but having been so descriptive over the charging and then being charged the higher amount leaves a very sour taste. Would certainly not recommend this company as felt I’d been ripped off!

Hello Mel, Thank you for sharing your experience. It sounds like there was some misunderstanding about the service and the pricing, which we regret. We aim to ensure clarity from the start regarding our processes and fees. Your input is invaluable to us for improving our services. Best wishes, Team Fuel Fixer
Since arriving home with my touring caravan, I have spoken with my insurance company who said they would have sent a fuel fixer out to do exactly what you have done at £220.00, which is a fraction of the price you have charged. Even the RAC man who was no help said the RAC charge £270.00, but he couldn't get an answer. Could you explain why the difference in price is so great (£318.00 extra). As you can appreciate at the time, my concern was for my partner and two dogs who were stuck at Asda Grantham for 2/3 hours, and the worry of our touring caravan parked at Wagtail Country Park. It's not until now that we are home safely, I have had a chance to review what we paid, which seemed to be one of the easiest solutions because the car had never been started. We were very grateful to Andy who was very professional and competent at his work which he seemed to love, but I still think £638.00 is extortionate, so I would like a breakdown of the price we paid please, because I feel we have paid for a more demanding job, like the vehicle was started which was not the case. I would like to resolve this by you checking the job details which I have a copy, and you may consider an amount to refund to us, my Partner is 68 and I'm 62, and we have just spent 2/3rds of my partners state pension, to ensure we got home safely with our touring caravan. I feel your company prey on the vulnerable and are unscrupulous. Every time I have tried to send a complaint to you, your web page shows an error, your complaint form cannot be submitted, this must definitely help you with your scores of no complaints how convenient. I have sent a complaint to two different emails I found for your company and I am still awaiting a response. However you did send an email for me to review your company.

Good afternoon, We did receive your complain via email. Unfortunately, the office is actually closed over the weekend, as is most often the case, and so it was not seen until today (Monday). I believe that a response has been sent to you already, prior to this review being left. Please do continue to respond to the email so that we can settle this matter. Regards, Fuel Fixer Aftercare Team

Hi Bridgette, Thank you for your review! We're pleased to hear that you found our service brilliant in a moment of panic. If there’s anything else we can do to support you or make your experience even better, please let us know. Warm regards, Team Fuel Fixer
The guy was great, that came to clear it but was told I'd have complete clear out and car tested for any faults and other services, but was only done for the fuel to be drained, was a 10 min job for a quote of £400 which ended up £250 absolutely rip off for what was done

Hi Andy, Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear our technician was great, but we regret that the service didn’t meet your expectations. We strive for transparency in our offerings, and I’m sorry that you felt misled regarding the thoroughness of the service. In listening to the call made, we notice that the price was lowered considerably ie we gave a price for a non-started even though you had started the vehicle, we also took out the call-out fee as you would have been en route for our technician heading home etc ie we did what we could to accommodate any financial issues at the time. It was also stated that the technician would determine if a fuel line flush was needed. Based on his observation on site, a flush was not necessary, and this would also mean that a diagnostic check was not, as no contamination had gone into your vehicle's fuel lines. We appreciate your insights and are here to assist with any other questions you may have. Warm regards, Team Fuel Fixer
Cleared fuel. Car unable to start. After many try’s engineer gave up. Saying the problem was not wrong fuel. Which it was. Turbo charger failed when I got the car to start. Wasted circa £450 which I should have saved for a proper Motor Engineer to resolve

Way overpriced and unfair share of the takings for the engineer, whose service was excellent.
