About Flowers by Post:

Our flower market stall (which is still going strong) was established in 1968 in Jersey’s historic Central Market. The business has steadily evolved and grown over time and we pioneered the concept of sending “flowers by post” enabling visitors to the island to send flowers to their family, friends and neighbours.
With the advent of the internet we created our first website and to service this growing demand relocated the online business to the mainland enabling us to access greater flower supplies and help the logistics’ of floral delivery.
We embrace the different ways our customers wish to purchase and engage with us whether that is online or by using our FREEPHONE 0800 735 1065 telephone number.
We strive to provide our customers with first class product; value for money; simple ordering processes and on time delivery methods using Royal Mail and Yodel Courier services. We match this with exceptional customer service.

Though I have been very pleased with Flowers by Post previously, this experience was disappointing. I ordered freesias, but roses were delivered. I didn't mind too much but emailed the company to tell them and ask if freesias were unavailable. I received no response which, to me, is worse than not delivering the right flowers in the first place.

I bought Mothers' Day flowers for my mother, and another bunch for my wife on behalf of my children. The flowers that turned up at this house were a disgrace. The box was wet and damaged. The flower petals were bruised and folded, and the paper wrapping wet and soggy. I can only assume the box had fallen over and was sliding about in the back of the delivery vehicle. On the plus side, my mother said her flowers were fabulous, and my wife's did recover a little after a day or two in a vase with water and the feed - and they were delivered on time. Perhaps giving 2-stars is harsh, but 3 says 'acceptable' and I don't feel this is acceptable - if (as is usually the case) I am sending flowers to someone 'remote' I need to have confidence that they will arrive in good condition. Initially I was thinking I'd never use this company again, but since my mother was so pleased and my wife's flowers did recover somewhat, I am willing to admit the issue was probably with the delivery service rather than the flowers themselves (which do seem to be of good quality), so they may get another chance - but alas my confidence is shaken.

I ordered a gift rose for my friends special birthday. It did arrive on her birthday and was well packed, we were both devastated at the rose which had arrived. I felt awful being a special birthday. A replacement rose has been sent, and my friend is happy with, it I still feel awful. I have used Flowers by Post for years, just feeling let down...

I paid extra for my stepmother to receive the pot rose on Sat 6 March. It's an important day, as her wedding anniversary and the anniversary of my father's death coincide. The rose did not arrive on Sat, Sun or Mon, and I had to contact you Post myself to find out what was going on. To be fair, I think your staff had started calling about 14 customers, having realised that something had gone wrong. They arranged a delivery for Tues 9 March and refunded the whole postage and extra fee. I find this only just acceptable. I'm a long-standing customer, and you should have offered a reduction on the price of the pot rose. However, until now you always gave excellent service and quality, and I will give you one more try. I suspect that this was only a blip, and that you will return to your normal excellent service.

Ordered on Tuesday and didn’t arrive until Saturday, some of the flowers looked quite dry and the size of the bouquet on the picture on the website certainly differs from what actually arrives.

Arrived on time on 13/02 - well presented bouquet of roses. One died within 2 days and most of the rest were drooped and fading quickly on 12/02. I decided to try Flowers by post after similar results elsewhere. It's not unrealistic to expect flowers to last a week.

Poor delivery service, flowers were late in arriving for Valentine Day. I do not think Royal Mail were totally to blame for this. I will not be using this service again.

Very unhappy, we felt totally ripped off the flowers arrived on the 13 Feb when we had to remove one head because it was already dying & today the 17th we will have to dispose of more.theamount of flowers disgusting.

The yellow roses drooped within 2 days and were removed and thrown away by my wife. The remaining flowers are acceptable. Unfortunately a photo was not taken before they were thrown away. It does not encourage me to place a future order.

The flowers (freesias) were beautiful, and the fragrance from them has improved every day. They were a present for my wife's birthday. Sadly, they arrived a day late, which was a shame considering I chose Flowers by Post because I could select an exact day for delivery, as a surprise. I don't think I'll use Flowers by Post again because of that.

Very disappointed with them ,hardly any flower buds on freesias,the range of colours was poor. The flowers were for my 98 year old Mum so I replaced them with a far superior bouquet from Marks and better value for money too . The Birthday card was rubbish it was a cheap printout covered in adverts for your company,all in all a complete let down.

An order made on Wednesday didn't arrive until Monday. Perhaps as/if the limitations of the service are known (due to Covid), then the delivery should not be offered as next day (or 2 to 3 days), nor should there be a suggestion of it. The flowers are expensive enough without having to pay expensive postage to secure avoiding a weekend. 2-3 days should have arrived by Saturday. The post service took 6 days from ordering. Had I known, I would have ordered them on a Monday. I am sorry to write a review with only 2 stars, but in this case, it is merited.

Flowers and greenery had both seen better days. They were tired looking and not up to your usual standard. Ratio of flowers to greenery not as it appears on the website picture.
