“Bought a chess set but unfortunately on opening the package 2 pieces were damaged hence only 4stars. However the customer service was excellent and they sent out a replacement set immediately which arrived the next day. Many thanks.”

“The service from Farrar and Tanner was good. The order arrived promptly. I didn't realise there was nowhere to palce the chequers once they have been removed. It would be good if there were options for boards which include this. I wrongly assumed there would be. It was my mistake that I didn't explore the options more thoroughly.”

“Initially , disappointed as product arrived with missing pieces. However on informing them of their error , I had a prompt & professional response incorporating an apology & the error was rectified. “The failure to communicate about the delayed delivery was disappointing and caused unnecessary stress. Although emails were eventually responded to the auto reply said to phone and the phones were not answered and said to email!”

“DPD we’re at fault for delivering my parcel to the wrong house (never received) but Farrar & Tanner we’re excellent at ensuring I was refunded (it entered my account next day). Customer service was great over the phone. I would recommend for anyone who has issues to just call them as they were very helpful.”

“Purchased as a Christmas present for special friends,the gift as such is very nice and well presented, just a little disappointed that the engraving which I thought I’d selected hadn’t been done. Perhaps my fault as I thought I had followed the instructions correctly, but nevertheless the less I’m sure they will be well pleased, it’s the thought after all.”
