Gift arrived late because of Royal mail strikes. Farrar and Tanner should claim back their 48hr tracked payment. The gift of course was beautiful.

Stop using royal mail . Learn from experience I have used you twice with the same delivery let down.

Ordered vintage cognac leather apron /with engraving Shipping was fine to U.S. (2 weeks) Quality of apron was good Engraving was done but can not see it …very very very small! No contrast color to leather.We wanted a personalized apron for our son in law…”Chef JD “ but as he opens his gift he will not see the engraving!!! You have to look really hard to see it!!!

So sorry you've not received your order - with the strike action from Royal Mail happening on 25 November as well as 28 November, along with increased orders due to Black Friday, it seems the whole of the postal system has been impacted by this and significant delays have been seen, I hope that the parcel has since arrived. The backgammon board itself is of high quality and very nicely finished. The cheap, light weight plastic counters let down the set - not expected at this price point.

Have bought as gift for my husband for Xmas. Prompt delivery and very well packaged, but glad I checked product before wrapping. I was disappointed to find the cover with what looked liked wash smear marks all over it, I had to give it a polish. Also the personalisation I thought would be done in gold lettering, not so, it was printed into the leather instead.

Actual product looks very good. However was sent in a scruffy gift box that looked to have been damaged whilst packaged. Asked for another to be sent out to me as the product is a gift but I am still waiting for this.

My order of a black leather A4 zipped folio arrived promptly and looks as described - I'm sure my son will be delighted with it. However, the personalised naming on the bottom right of the file is not embossed deeply enough, so not very clear at all. Also, the tissue wrapping of the file did not cover it and was crumpled - not packed with care inside the box... this may seem a small point but it gave a disappointing first impression when opened, and clashed with the classy branding and goods Farrar & Tanner portray. I will rewrap before gifting!

Prompt service but disappointed the engraved name done on same side as the Opinel logo so didn't stand out

Gift recipient was sent invoice and there was no facility to say who the gift was from. Otherwise the product itself was satisfactory

Delivery was a late but that was Royal Mails fault I believe. Perhaps you should change standard delivery firm.

Please be assured we monitor our delivery times so this is helpful, we find Royal Mail are currently the most reliable courier but do offer alternative couriers at checkout if you prefer.

Website easy to use, ordered a gift set for Father’s Day, kept up to date with how order was processed and when delivery was going to be only to find out that when I gave it to my dad on Father’s Day they had sent me the wrong size so a Father’s Day gift ended in disappointment! Contacted customer service and received a swift email reply, apologising and offered information on returns/refunds.

Great product and helpful customer service but let down by delivery partners, twice! I ordered a pair of Dartington crystal glasses and only one was delivered, and that a day earlier than the tracking info and notifications were saying - meaning no-one was home to receive it. Royal Mail then faked the signature of the recipient to make it appear the delivery had been accepted on the tracking receipt. I called customer services who were very apologetic and agreed to send the second glass out by DPD immediately and promised to refund the delivery charge. The second delivery didn't happen at all and I haven't received the delivery charge refund. After another call to customer service the second glass was finally delivered 2 weeks after I placed my order.

Gloves are lovely, such a shame the packaging was such a let down for the price. I had spend extra to make them look worth the money paid. Presentation is everything hence the 3 stars

Lovely quality chess set and very happy with it. Let down badly unfortunately by the extremely cheap case and interior of the presentation box - it was a gift. Happy to have paid more for leather and non-polystyrine padding as this is what the chess set will live in for its lifetime and will very quickly fall apart.
