It’s a nice product. When we opened the wooden box it was broken so had a decision to make on whether to repair or return and decided to repair as it was just the join that needed glueing. The pieces are plastic and not wood which was my main disappointment

The chessboard arrived quickly and looks good quality, but disappointingly there was a flaw in the laminate hence three stars- see photos

The service was first-class and the product high quality, but with a design flaw (or inaccurate photographic representation). The 'black' chess pieces were illustrated as a brownish marble colour but on receipt were found to be a really pale/translucent beige. In poor light, it is really difficult to tell the 'black' and white pieces apart. If I had bought the set for myself, I would have returned it, but as it was a Christmas present to someone else, this was not possible.

Disappointed they didn't engrave as requested. They gave me a refund but that is hardly the point. I wanted it done as a surprise.

Price, service, product and delivery all good. But, waste of money having the personalised script. The font and lettering were great, but it was written on the upward angle of the knife block, directly underneath the knives, rendering it out of sight from a normal standing position if they are placed on a counter-top (unless you're 3' 6" tall). I suppose I thought it would be on the side of the block. I would recommend not to have the lettering done on the knife block.

My order arrived super fast but sadly in the wrong finish. It has now been replaced & I am told that a returns label is on its way here for the original one. Mistakes happen but it wasn't easy to let the company know of the error. The pocket watch however is stunning and will be treasured.

Dear Sarah, I'm sending the correct watch to you - I'm so sorry that you received the wrong one. I can only put this down to Christmas covid madness, long night shifts and very tired engravers. It should not have happened and of course we will correct it for you in time for Christmas. I've tried to call but not been able to reach you. The board is really nice but the counters are a bit light and cheap / plastic. I'll buy replacement counters but a bit disappointed given the cost and quality of the board - let down by the counters.

The glass was perfect, my only criticism was the printed wording was not straight. As it was a gift I didn’t have time to return it :(

Product arrived on time. I particularly liked their commitment to plastic free packaging. However, I was surprised to find a record of a credit reference search on my credit report, which is intrusive, excessive and unnecessary for a single debit card purchase. For this reason I deducted 2 stars.

Lovely idea with the engraved box with port inside. I Was disappointed with the quality of the finish on the box but asides that the order came quickly so can’t fault the service

I bought a Witness knife and the ordering/delivery was fast and efficient. The product was okay but the blade had a tiny nick in towards the point. It did not really affect the use of the knife but I was disappointed with the quality control.

Overall the price I paid, delivery, etc were fine, however I feel the engraving service let F&T down on this occasion. No option was given as to which side of the handle the engraving would appear on. I erroneously assumed they would use the side with no branding as it result in a clean, uncluttered finish. Instead they chose to squeeze the engraving at one end of the handle on the same side as the Opinel branding leading to a very crushed and cluttered aesthetic. At just under £50 for an Opinel complete with the engraving I would have expected a bit more thought to have gone into the process. The knife was intended as part of a “landmark” birthday gift for a forager, however given the knifes appearance I decided just to give it to them and come up with something else for their birthday. So at least they will get an extra present, but I’m left disappointed with F&T.

I bought a whittling knife as a Present for Father’s Day, I paid extra for engraving. I was a bit disappointed when it came that the engraving is on the side of the handle with all the branding on, meaning that my little girls dad didn’t even realise it was engraved. The other side of the handle is totally bare, why would it have been done on that side? It’s not something that can be proudly displayed as intended. Such a shame because everything else is just perfect.

The razor we bought was beautifully packaged and the name engraving was lovely. The razor was visually great, however you have focused too much on the aesthetics of the razor and not the functionality of it needing to actually be functioning effectively as a razor. The razor only has one blade on it, which we did not realise upon purchase, and as a result has cut my husbands face while using it. The razor will now, consequently not be used.
