“Ordering was very easy. Team reaction to my e-mails perfect, not just some generic spam reply. Wrapping was superb, especially for kitchen knives. The product itself is great. I have known of this manufacturer for many decades. Your discount on the knives made a famous brand very affordable. Using Royal Mail was a plus. Their 48hour tracking was excellent. Congratulations from a first time shopper who felt valued & supported. R”

“Farrar & Tanner Customer Services were brilliant in a very stressful delivery situation... 1. DPD failed to turn up to your warehouse to collect the parcel on the first day. 2. DPD then failed to delivery the following day after pickup even though giving a time slot. Then advised that I had missed the delivery. The driver, as confirmed by the DPD Customer Services rep, failed to turn up with the parcel and had no photographic proof - which is part of their delivery rules. 3. Third Day DPD failed to turn up again even though giving a further time slot. Advised that no ID had been shown. Again, they had not come to door, as confirmed by DPD customer Services Lady. 4. DPD then held/stopped the delivery for the 4th day as I had apparently had 2 failed deliveries !!!!! 5. DPD then agreed to delivery on the 5th day after I had rang them 3 times and spoken to a Manager there. A fantastic DPD driver, Luckas dropped off my parcel. Best driver at DPD. Package turned up just before my newphew went back to Uni. After I had to make the effort to drive over with parcel to ensure he received. Farrar & Tanner did refund my "Next DAY" delivery charge, however there was no compensation for my time in chasing four 4 days in a row, failing to give my nephew his birthday present on Sunday 4th, having to make an extra drive over to deliver the parcel he should have had when I saw him on the Sunday. Plus Farrar and Tanner's failfure in not making a note to follow up to ensure that I had eventually had my delivery!. The product is brilliant (when eventually received) and your Customer Services Lady very helpful and understanding but a 'Next Step' from Farrar & Tanner would have soothed what turned out to be a very stressful situation....given that I had already allowed extra days for the Next Day delivery knowing it was over New Year. A shame as I would be hardpushed to recommend Farrar & Tanner to my extensive family.”

“The item was well crafted - but too big and the recipient didn't want to keep it. I sent it back a week before Christmas - but I never received a refund. Really upset and disappointed.”

Hi Lisa, Many thanks for your feedback. I am sorry for the wait on the refund. We had a huge backlog of returns to get through throughout the Christmas period, so we had a 3 week wait on our returns process. We're only a small team; we were working through them as quickly as we could. I can see the refund was issued at the beginning of January. Kindest regards,
