“Ordered beef wellington for Christmas to feed 5 absolutely ruined our dinner the beef was gamely and tasted awful only fit for the bin . This was surposed to be a big treat for Christmas would not normally spend £120.00 on meat . Would expect a full refund from a best on line butcher. Normally gamey beef is an indicator of the animal being stressed when slaughtered or very bad diet . Would appreciate your help and explanation in this matter . Regards Mrs J Kent”

“Sadly the beef Wellington I bought for Xmas day , was disappointing, I cooked for 35 mins as suggested by website but the beef was tough , and not very special. I wish I’d made one more self but just wanted an easier Christmas lunch - next year it will definitely be back to turkey !”

“The meat is quite pricey when compared to local butchers but the beef is very tender and flavoursome. The service was as expected with good comms. I highly recommend purchasing from Farmison & Co.”

“I was not very impressed with the easy carve truffle chicken, it didn't taste very nice and was very dry. The same for the pigs in blankets (salty and tasteless) and bread sauce (bitter). The roast potatoes, ham and cranberry sauce were excellent though.”

“The only mail order meat company I use.... the wild venison looked so good I could have eaten it raw, it smelt of a berry filled enchanted forest, so I treated the meat with the respect it deserves and cooked with juniper and port, for the best Christmas Day Venison stew I could have asked for. All other merguez sausages are inferior to these, perfectly seasoned lamb to complement Moroccan side dishes, a winner dinner! Well done Farmison & Co.”

“Very early with Christmas delivery slots and a good discount for early orders. Delivery was excellent with full communication and on-time delivery from DPD. The bird was well prepared and packaged although the neck has been poorly and coursely removed leaving a tear in the skin back from the neck. This made stuffing the neck cavity difficult to close. The bird was otherwise unblemished and cooked well. It tasted fine, full flavoured and moist. I did try to add to my initial order in November and emailed Farmiston but never received a reply. So bought elsewhere.”

“The Beef Wellington for 2 that we ordered for Christmas was delicious. I have to say that initially I thought it looked like a small portion !! ... but it was enough and so tasty. Would absolutely buy this again. We already love your sausages, steaks and lamb”

“Order process and subsequent ability to vary order worked extremely well. Turkey arrived exactly as requested at the correct temperature and very well packaged. Turkey meat flavour was superb but texture was quite stringy. Will buy again.”
