I was very disappointed not to receive my original order Amended one was very well packed as was my order last year Belle Epoque had sold out so not received and it was ordered as a gift for a friend

My peony arrived, ok but not overly impressed. Let’s see what happens next year. Also bought poppy plants not sure these will survive just a couple of leaves, I’m not buying bare root again would rather go to garden centre see what I’m buying.

Bought several bundles of mixed hollyhocks in the end of season sale. Finally flowering but with the exception on one pale pink all 25 + are white or very pale yellow. Such a shame as the illustration showed lovely shades of pinks and reds.

1st of all I have been a customer of farmer gracy for several years & have been very impressed with their bulbs etc, they have all grown superbly! The reason I have scored poor is the customer service is non-existent. I purchased 4 bulbs in April that did not grow, after three emails to customer services I had not one reply! So bulbs are great but service is rubbish!

Having ordered last year from you and how beautiful the presentation box and pictures along with advise when to plant etc … I’d thought I’d order again for a gift for a loved one .. only to receive a box of bulbs in paper bags and a receipt with a postcard no picture of the bulbs I’d ordered or advise .. I can go back to my original order to view a picture but I can’t do that if I’m gifting. I can get these bulbs with a picture at a DIY store or garden centre for cheaper.. I had loved the experience last year but probably won’t re order with yourselves again now 🙁

There is an envelop with postcards, planting advise and a copy of the order confirmation. We apologise if these were not included in this parcel. The choice was very impressive but your quality was poor. I had too many non show for example zero phlox and zero freesia. The hollyhocks and gladiolus did very well. Dahlias were not 100% Hopefully the tulips will do well. Paddy Maginness

Sooooo disappointing. Spent enormous amount of money on bulbs and had soo many issues. The colours sent were wrong the buds didn’t open, bulbs didn’t come up and plants sent wrong colour. I had such high hopes for this company but sadly feel totally dissatisfied.

Very disappointed. Spent quite a lot of money buying many plants for our new home and fewer than 25% did anything. I looked up the instructions for each plant on Farmer Gracy website before planting as no instructions included in the box. When after several months I contacted FG they said I should have put them in to pots first. Nowhere did it say this. They gave me a small partial credit but I would rather have had plants that grew!

Bare root plants will get a much easier start and produce more reliable results when potted up and grown on prior to planting into borders. Bare roots can struggle to settle into some soil types, but are far more resilient once they're a little more established. We include a planting video on each of our bare root product pages which provides some helpful tips on getting your plants off to the best start. Whilst we can't guarantee that they will settle into all soils and cope with all conditions, a credit note will have been issued so that you can replace your plants next season when they're back in stock. I live in the UK and I am a long standing customer of FG. I am very hesitant to buy further items from FG. For a few years now especially the bare root plants are cut often far too small, many times without an growing eye. Generally I request a replacement/refund of about 25% of the bare roots as they are not establishing. While the customer service is still excellent and there is usually no problem in getting a replacement - it adds a lot of additional work. And the bare roots are still quiet expensive to just ignore this problem. I have reported this problem to FG several times. This year I have discovered independent nurseries (at plant markets), while the plants seems to be a bit more expensive initially, they are already established plants in 1 or 2 litre pots and one can find very special plants as well. The FG online email system also seems to be unable to only send one email about an announcement. As I still get too many emails about the same issue for example ‘free postage ends this weekend’, then is extended etc. I will unsubscribe from the list. I am fully aware of that business esp. after Covid and Brexit was tough, but improvements should be possible by now. Thanks a lot for all the work so far.

On the whole, we find our plants remain fresh and viable throughout the shipping season and produce reliable results. 8 Dahlia Bulbs ordered & planted in April . As of August, 4 Bulbs have produced flowers, one of which, is not what I ordered... 3 Bulbs didn't grow at all , and one is still just producing leaves. Of the 2 Hostas I ordered, the hosta t-tex is growing beautifully , but the hosta white xxl, is actually a miniature plant with 2 -3 cm leaves, and is only 2-3 inches high. Not sure about their Bulbs. Fortunately I did order from another company at the same time, so my garden has some large blooms, otherwise it would have been a sparse summer.... That said, their customer service & delivery is excellent
