“I have been ordering bulbs from Farmer Gracy for a few years now and am yet to come across any other company that provides the same quality, care and pride in what they do as this company. The bulbs on offer are next to none with some very rare and exotic species. I am always kept up to date as to where my order is. When the packages arrive they are always packaged really nicely with the upmost care and attention to detail with wonderful added extras like the postcards (I have a lovely collection now) of the flowers and a booklet on how to care for the bulbs, which I always keep for further reference. On a couple of occasions I have needed extra information because of personal issues and my emails are always answered completely and very quickly. Anybody looking for quality bulbs and a first class personal customer service need look no further than Farmer Gracy as I don’t think there is anyone out there that can surpass them. I have, and will continue, to recommend them to everyone I can and I will continue to use them in the future.”

“A company with friendly and efficient service. I bought many Amaryllis bulbs before Christmas to give a presents. They have been a huge success. Luckily I got a few too many. The one in my sitting room has 6 enormous flowers and one more to come. It has been in flower for nearly three weeks and is still looking really beautiful. I shall certainly do the same thing next year as all the recipients so enjoyed them. Thank you Farmer Gracy. Susie”

“I have just received my order of Lily bulbs and felt compelled to write a review.The bulbs were received in a sturdy box and well packaged.They were labelled and packed with compost rather than wood chips.The quality of the bulbs was excellent,a large size and firm. The price was very reasonable indeed.I cannot wait to plant them and see the flowers in the summer.Very pleased indeed. I shall be returning again soon”

“I’ve been ordering bulbs and plants from Farmer Gracy for the past few years and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I run an Award winning wildlife garden called @Kippax Wildlife Corridor in Leeds, Uk. It’s a series of public gardens and wild spaces dedicated to all types of wildlife from bees to hedgehogs and foxes. The bulbs and plants come beautifully packaged. And their quality is fantastic. I’ve never had a bulb fail. I’m informed of delivery progress at every stage. And the website is very easy to navigate. 100% will continue using them. In fact I have loads on pre order already.”

“As always Farmer Gracy excelled themselves. I purchased 3 amaryllis back in October, planted them up. One was a bit slow but they reassured me it would bloom and it did! I purchase all my bulbs and plants from Gatmer Gravy and have never been disappointed”

“Rilona Amaryllis, was potted up early October, and, as of January 10, ‘26, has done nothing. One star is too high a rating. It’s very hard to look a brown bulb for months on end. The bulb is firm, but shows no signs of green. I think it’s a dud.”

The exact time they start to come out of dormancy can vary depending on the variety, size of the bulb and temperatures. “I ordered a colocasia madeira star, the first bulb went rotten. The second bulb started growing from the roots rather than the centre of the bulb. Nearly 2 years later I still don’t have any red centre on the leaf.”
