“Obviously with bare rooted plants I won't know yet how good they are but I have no doubt they will be fine. One massive problem though, Farmer Gracy, if you value your customers NEVER use Evri as your courier, as I wasn't in at the time the idiot left the box in the middle of my path, not by the door, not under the overhang, but half way between door and footpath for any passer by to take not to mention advertise the fact nobody being at home. I've had bad dealings with Evri before, they either don't care about your customers or are inept. I won't deal with Farmer Gracy again if you use this awful courier firm.”

“All 13 dahlias arrived in great quality and very well packaged. My parcel included a lovely little postcard and imagery printed on the order confirmation. Only reason I am not providing 5 stars is because I will wait to make sure they all grow/bloom. Will buy again. Thanks”

“I love FG!!! I’ve made an order from them every spring and late/summer autumn every year for the last years. I always look forward to my FG care package where I’ve saved money for a couple of months then make a substantial order. I recommend ordering this way. I also recommend treating yourself to at least one Deluxe variety to your order every time, you won’t regret it. My ‘Avalon’ Daffodils were absolutely stunning this year and a real highlight! They always have a fantastic selection. My local garden centre's seem to be geared towards what I consider “nanny gardening”, no shade to nanny gardeners, but I’m not a fan of classic/blousy/frilly or needy plants with hot colours and pinks. I like that there are more interesting colours/shades/varieties and species. It’s nice when you can really tailor the colours, as opposed to being limited to what’s on a shelf at your garden center or doing lots of driving around for what you actually want. Their bulbs are always well sized and healthy and bloom well. I don’t think I’ve had any not bloom. Their bare roots are an amazing and economical way to fill a garden you’re doing from scratch, fairly quickly. We moved into our house 2 years ago and had to rip a lot of diseased and overgrown shrubs out. And everything was variegated! So what was alive didn’t look good next to its neighbouring plant. So for me, someone who is too busy and impatient to raise plants from seed, busy with renovating a house and is too poor to actually fill up my garden with plants from a garden center FG are a great middle ground. The bare roots I planted last year looked pretty good and gave enough interest for their first year in the ground, but have come up lovely this year. Packaging is always top notch, they always provide good information, website is easy to use with great inspiration and they often run some sort of deal or sale. What’s not to love.”

“I ordered 9 bare root perennials. Packed so well and arrived in good time and in excellent condition. There were clear and easy to follow instructions enclosed. The plants have been soaked and potted up and look ok at this time. I look forward to planting them out in the garden.”

“Purchased Spring bulbs which are now in full bloom with my borders a riot of colour. Absolutely beautiful. I have been so impressed with these that I have ordered (and just received) a box of various flowers for summer which I am sure will grow well too. I was kept informed of my order, advised when it was due to arrive and the items have been well packed with good instructions on how to proceed.”

“I wouldn’t use this company to supply my plants again. If the tracking information is correct they arrived at the delivery depot 2 days after dispatch. It was a further 7 days until they were actually delivered to me. The plants will probably survive but of course they would have been in much better condition if they hadn't been sat at the final delivery depot for 7 days.”

“I ordered bare root oriental poppies to replace mine which seem to have disappeared this wet winter. Have potted them up and crown is already green and growing healthily. Can’t wait for them to bloom. A bargain at 30% off.”
