Start with an extensive choice. Easy purchase process. Very good communications. In my experience, excellent Customer Care. Delivery is swift and you are kept up to date. Packaging is very good and the bulbs come in packets labeled with comprehensive information. You get F.G.’s leaflet to help with planting and care. A postcard too. All plants were in a lovely condition apart from one fern which had no growth showing and measured about 1 and a half inches long which was pretty much all soil and barely had any roots shame as all other plants had really good root systems and growth showing

I love FG!!! I’ve made an order from them every spring and late/summer autumn every year for the last years. I always look forward to my FG care package where I’ve saved money for a couple of months then make a substantial order. I recommend ordering this way. I also recommend treating yourself to at least one Deluxe variety to your order every time, you won’t regret it. My ‘Avalon’ Daffodils were absolutely stunning this year and a real highlight! They always have a fantastic selection. My local garden centre's seem to be geared towards what I consider “nanny gardening”, no shade to nanny gardeners, but I’m not a fan of classic/blousy/frilly or needy plants with hot colours and pinks. I like that there are more interesting colours/shades/varieties and species. It’s nice when you can really tailor the colours, as opposed to being limited to what’s on a shelf at your garden center or doing lots of driving around for what you actually want. Their bulbs are always well sized and healthy and bloom well. I don’t think I’ve had any not bloom. Their bare roots are an amazing and economical way to fill a garden you’re doing from scratch, fairly quickly. We moved into our house 2 years ago and had to rip a lot of diseased and overgrown shrubs out. And everything was variegated! So what was alive didn’t look good next to its neighbouring plant. So for me, someone who is too busy and impatient to raise plants from seed, busy with renovating a house and is too poor to actually fill up my garden with plants from a garden center FG are a great middle ground. The bare roots I planted last year looked pretty good and gave enough interest for their first year in the ground, but have come up lovely this year. Packaging is always top notch, they always provide good information, website is easy to use with great inspiration and they often run some sort of deal or sale. What’s not to love.

Hei! The “Magical silver” root of the plant is rotten, it cannot be planted. I am disappointed.

The bulbs always arrive in the best packaging to protect them. I love the information cards relating to planting etc that come with them. I have never been dissapointed with any of the bulbs that i have purchased which is why i shop again and again.

The plant were lovely very healthy The alstroemeria however look a little weak so have put it in a pot to give it a little extra attention Will see how it goes
