I have bought several items from evergreen direct and was initially happy with the service and look of the items. However as seen with some other reviews the items do not last as expected and if the stems are wooden they do not stand up to rot even though they are advertised as outdoor plants. I believe that there is a quality issue with the manufacture and to stick to the 1 year warranty means you have no come back. I was offered a discount to buy again but it just seems to be good money after bad if I accepted. Disappointed that the quality is not something that the company will just blame their manufacturers on as they are the supplier that picked them!

Weve had the bespoke hedges for 4 years now absolutely spot on and had so many comments from people. We went on to buy the spiral tree, what an absolute let down. The tree snapped due to 50 mile winds but when I went to look only after 8 months of purchasing this product the whole of the bottom of the plant had rotted away. So I decided I would try and save it to put in a pot quite a few months later I came too early it recently all the plastic branches dropped off. Rot had set in all the way up. Complete waste of money!!

Unfortunately our experience has been poor. Some of the product pictures are misleading so, **read the small print** and if that doesn't help, contact the company before you make a purchase! We submitted a trial order with a view to using Evergreen Direct for our fast expanding events planning and hospitality businesses. We were disappointed when the order arrived as it wasn't as expected (note: there have been previous comments in reviews regarding this). The after-sales customer service became a bit of a battle with, what can only be described as, an argumentative member of staff. It took a number of emails to provide us with basic, helpful information which resulted in additional costs. Two of the bushes had leaves missing which we found in the bottom of the box but due to the difficulty with after-sales, we'd already decided at this point not to place further orders and therefore didn't raise this problem. We are raising it now to alert others to what we feel is a quality issue. Had the after-sales service been a more positive experience, this review could have been prevented.

Dear Alison, I am so very sorry to hear how disappointed you have been with the products and service you have received. I take all such complaints seriously and have explored what the issue was with the products and tracked all correspondence between you and our customer care manager. I see the problem was you ordered one of our bushy buxus balls which you were expecting to receive in a pot but you recieved the product on a stem only. We offer the service of adding a pot to most of our products online so on the listing we have pictures of them with and without a pot. In the description, we explain the process that you can order the product only if you have your own pot at home or for customers that are looking to plant directly into the earth. Alternatively, if you would like to take advantage of the potting-up service we have a range of planters to select from. I can see that if the product description was not read and you bought based on browsing the pictures only this may message may not have been communicated to you which would explain your disappointment. I have looked at the correspondence with our customer care manager who sent across some information on how you could resolve the issue with instructions on how you can plant the product into both your own planter at home or the earth, and also directed you to the product description which outlined the aforementioned potting process. I can't detect any hint of anger in the emails but if I am missing anything then please do sent this in directly to me at enquiries@evergreendirect.co.uk Our bushy buxus balls in one of our customer's favorite products with a 5* reviews. Given the price of the product and it’s advertised for outside spending over £300 on 2 Buxus Spirals I expected the product to last longer than 2 years we purchased on 5th March 2021 . It is beyond repair having snapped off at the base . The manufacturer has no interest in replacing and Evergreen Direct have offered me 10% on any future order.

Hi Cathy, I am so sorry to see that these have snapped. Please let me reassure you that if these had snapped within the warrenty period we would have replaced these without question but your warrenty expired over a year ago. We did submit these pictures to the manufacturer because like you, we were disappointed. Sadly they were not able to replace for you since the warranty had expired so long ago. Kind Regards, Georgina

The delivery was very quick, however: 1- they had been packed head to toe so one of them was upside down, creating dirt everywhere from bits of ‘soil’ which had fallen out of the pot. 2- the trees are very very small. They are the correct height but had been squashed in transit and have never recovered. They do not fill the space which I thought they would. I thought they might ‘spread out’ with time but have not. The branches are all sticking upwards and the back of most of the leaves are visible rather than the front. It is so flimsy that I dare not push the branches outwards in case they break. 3- they look very plasticky; not natural-looking as had been advertised. 4- some of the leaves have fallen out as they are simply inserted into the main stem with small bits of plastic. 5- they were very expensive so I assumed they would look amazing but are actually the worst value for money of any item I have ever bought on any website.

Delivery was very unorganised, They made me wait at home 2 days and they did not come they did not contact. Everytime I called they were not helpfull at all

Grasses arrived packed only in a plastic bag. They were badly damaged with stems poking through the bag. Two of the grasses had broken leaves and were completely ruined. Very disappointed as most of my order ended up in the bin so it was a total waste of money. I’m afraid I wouldn’t recommend

I am so very sorry to hear your order was damaged so badly in transit. I will be passing feedback onto our couriers. It is a difficult balance to get, right protection of good vs excessive packaging at environmental costs but I will speak to our packing team to see if any tweaks can be made to avoide this happening again. What I can say is please get in touch to arrange a return or exchange. We hate the though of any of our customers being disatified and will do all we can to recitify anything we can for you.

placed my order on 20th March advised yesterday 31st March they will send today 1st April for the £4.85 I paid for postage poor service i just hope it has been sent today advised it will arrive by courier by Tues 5th April

Artificial maidenhair fern plant. This item is absolutely disgusting. It has gone straight into the dustbin. I cannot believe you had the nerve to send it out. Will obviously never look at your site again.

Poor quality, not realistic and it costs £20.00 to return. So decided not to bother and donated it to my local zero waste project. Would not recommend.

Looks cheap and definitely artificial put it in garden hopefully it will get weathered and age to make it look better. Wouldn’t recommend.

Bad and terrible service!!!! My order was returned/collected as it did not meet my expectation but no money was refunded to me despite several emails. I will be escalating this to get my money back!

I have had my bay leaf trees for just over a year, when I complained, the leaves were coming off in the wind I collected the leaves hoping I could put them back on, but to no avail I contacted the company and all they wanted to do was send me more leaves, but I told them I couldn’t push them on as the trees have gone brittle so I am totally disappointed And would not buy again from this company.

Not happy leaves we’re all over the place when item arrived and not happy tried to assemble as in displayed image on the website prior to purchasing but doesn’t have that much flexibility in assembly

Is this a joke? I ordered and paid for some artificial grasses at the beginning of this month. The money has gone out of my account but I haven't received my order. I have phoned a few times, but no one picks up and I cannot send an email as none of the options offered are relevant to my query.
