“Ordered product easily and did receive phone call to check delivery day which was good, however the item was not delivered on the agreed day! It was delivered a day late. The assembly of the chicken coup was easy enough apart from it was missing a set of screws that were required. Muddled through finding screws we already had at home. Our chickens do enjoy their new run and had both laid eggs within 20 minutes of moving in! Overall product is OK for the price.”

“Really pleased with the chicken coop, its a quality product and everything which was supposed to be included in the box; was present & correct. The instructions were a bit limited but its not taxing to work it out & its fun to put it all together, and the product arrived on the day confirmed. I assembled the coop yesterday, I personally would not have 6 - 8 chickens in this, and I also gave it a another coat of wood preserve for longevity, 4 full size chickens would be far more comfortable. Overall - good product and excellent value for money; no complaints.”

“Ordered on Saturday, delivered on Tuesday - excellent service. Two small niggles. The bottom piece of the nest box had been broken in transit, but glue and a couple of panel pins fixed it. Where the perches slot in, the slots on the nest box side were in the wrong place - looks as though the piece of wood had been put in the wrong way - easily fixed with a dremmel! Very impressed with the design, small touches like having a prop to hold the nest box open, and the handle to open the door show that a lot of thought has gone into it. Went together very quickly and was easier to assemble than most flat pack furniture! Would definitely recommend.”

“I haven't yet build the coop. However, when it was delivered there was a box of parts missing. This happens sometimes. What impressed me was the speed with which it was sorted out. The company listened to my problem, told me what they would do, called me back with a solution and arranged for delivery the next morning. The sign of a good company is how they react when things go wrong. Egg Shell dealt with it politely and efficiently. A clucking good job.”

“I bought the Buckingham and must say that the quality is impressive for the price you pay. The wire is sandwiched in between the frames and not just stapled like all the others. Top marks and will get the wheels soon. I use this product for 2 birds with plenty of run space to roam. 8ft i love it. X”

“As a 77 year old female, I found this very easy to build. The only problem was four oblong flat plates, I just can not find where they should go. Have given four extra coats of wood treatment in the hopes it outlasts me.”

“Would have liked to know when it was arriving but we were in so all was well. We are terrible do it yourselfers but managed it very well indeed. . instructions were easy to follow and it looks really good assembled. . it was funny to see same model in corrie!!! “I bought the Betty house - Delivery was fast and the product is generally of a good quality. Quality control on the other hand is obviously poor as the end roof panel on the right side was split by the manufacturer either over tightening, or using too big a screw without a pilot hole. As it was easily fixed with a new screw and a bit of filler, I haven't complained - was quicker and easier to just fix it! The house itself works pretty well. Ventilation is decent and the sliding tray works well. Instructions were absolutely awful so be prepared for a bit of head scratching. Make sure to remember and fit the handles before the roof goes on!!! The only flaws I would say this has are firstly and most importantly, the roost bars are lower than the nesting boxes. This obviously results in a bird or two using nests to sleep in, which isnt very good. I plan to raise the bars myself, but really this is a basic thing that anyone who designs chicken houses should be aware of. Other than that big issue, the only other things Id say is that the ramp doesn't stay in place very well at all (Ive used a brick to secure it for now) and the sliding door is quite tightly fitted into the runners. This may be an issue using an auto door opener when its freezing overnight, or the wood expands in the rain. Time will tell. Overall, Im pretty happy with the house for the price. Its not perfect, but similar houses from elsewhere are far more expensive.”
