“A few points: 1. Stock - Good, but I could not find everything I needed/expected to find. Apparently the company only supplies Cable in 100m drums. It would be good to offer 50m as well. In general, the offer could be diversified. 2. Prices. Some items have very competitive prices, but not all. On some products, surprisengly, I found much better prices at ***. 3. Delivery - The company's strongest point. Free over £35. Fast and in one hour slot. Excellent! 4. Communication: very good. 5. Website and check out procedure: Simple and efficient. Conclusion: 4 stars, not five, for points 1 and 2. Thank you.”

“Found navigation around site more difficult than others I have used but this may be just me as I detest computers with a passion. Very impressed with prices and particularly impressed with the delivery tracking service, you told me my delivery would be delayed, in the event delivery was within the originally designated times, not that it would have mattered, but being able to check exactly where driver is and receive continually updated delery times I thought was excellent.”

“Excellent to be able to order cable by the metre. Good pricing and fast service. Whilst there was only cable on the order, the box had obviously been reused (no issue with recycling) but was not in good condition. Would certainly look to use Edwardes again.”

“I was very satisfied. The only niggle was that one line item was unexpectedly absent - it turned out it wasn't immediately available, but I don't think there was anything about that on the paperwork. On contacting supplier I was immediately offered either a refund or it being shipped when it was available - the latter I accepted. Would have been five stars had I been told at order time it was out of stock, but it wasn't a big deal.”

“I would have awarded 5 stars but there was a problem with the delivery. The delivery address on Edwardes order confirmation was correct, i.e. ***. On the morning of the delivery I received an email message from the courier, Interparcel Express (IE) saying that the delivery, by ***, would be between 9.00 and 10.00am that morning. I waited in and looked out for the driver but nothing arrived between the scheduled time. Later that morning, I went onto the 'tracker' of the IE website to discover the claim that the parcel had been delivered at 9.15am and signed for. The IE website is very frustrating in that it gives no contact telephone number, or rather, none that I was able to find, and relies purely on a series of drop down options to report a problem, make a request, or general inquiry. This I did by sending an email request for advice. Also, I cannot now recall how I managed to find a telephone number but did so for the local IE Blakedown depot in Milton Keynes from which the parcel had been dispatched dispatched. The person I spoke to was helpful and, I suspect, able to speak to the delivery driver himself who confirmed that he had left it in the meter store outside. Whilst still on the phone, I went outside and investigated to check but it wasn't there. I was asked to try No. *** and there it was. The address on the parcel's delivery label was for No. ***, so between Edwardes and IE someone had changed it from No. ***. Another intriguing aspect is that I don't know who signed for it as the house in question has been sold recently and is currently unoccupied.”

“The item I ordered wasn't in stock, but I was notified quickly and given an expected delivery date. I was offered the chance to cancel my order but was happy to wait. The item arrived at the time given, everybody happy. Great price as well. Next day delivery would've earned the 5th star.”

“There was a delay due to my item being out of stock, I was not informed and had to chase up, the only reason I did not give 5 stars. However, once item was available delivery was arranged and I was kept informed of the delivery date and time via email. Would use this company again.”
