“Once I'd realised you have to set collect and return dates to be 1 day apart (otherwise the booking website errors, rather than flagging the date range needs to be changed), as I had planned to collect & return the same day, the booking process was quick and easy. The van was clean and existing scratches etc. were well documented and the collection was quick as I knew the documents to bring. The only issue I almost had was you need to give a Landline number - No one I know has one anymore! Return was equally quick and easy and I'll certainly use Dorset Vehicle Rental again.”

“Easy pick up and drop off. Very pleased with car -very new. I am international traveler - my Initial email and website enquiries were not responded to (several days) and my Uk based son had to make Enquiry by phone during work hours to get a response. Hefty bond £750 actually charged at time of pickup but no delays with refund upon return. Unused day was refunded. Will use again.”

“Had booked and fully paid for hire almost a year prior to use. Was a tad miffed on collection to be informed of additional driver charge and optional insurance equating to £150 on top of hire fee. Would have helped with a very tight scout camp budget, to have been advised when booking. Otherwise, a great service. Lovely new vehicle, spotless.”

“There were some optional added extras on the day like excess waivers and there was a wait of around 20 minutes to collect the truck due to a queue at 8.30am. However the van was in good working order and handing the vehicle and keys back at 10pm was straightforward. Would definitely use again.”

“Car and service all good, but surprised to find at the point of pick up that the AD excess was £2500! No information on Web site and I assumed it would be similar to other car hire companies (£1500).”

“I have been using Dorset Vehicle Rentals as my 'go to' vehicle renter for over ten years. In nearly all instances they have been able to help me, even at short notice. The wide variety of vehicles available means that selecting the right one for the job is straightforward. The staff, especially Andy @ Weymouth, are always very helpful.”

“Overall a great car rental experience. My only comment is about the pick up and drop off times - clients are only offered an 8am or 5pm slot - I found this to be very inconvenient. Sure you should be able to pick up and drop off during normal office hours?”

“Short notice booking, LWB van. No ratchet straps supplied, don't know whether this is an option. I'm not a tradesman but was making use of the LWB van for transport. Van had 4K on the clock and was brand new. No Air Con, and deafening wind noise with the windows down! not DVR's fault.. just Ford . Despite only having done 4K the van needed more adblue, and didn't want to start first try. Guys at the unit were helpful and was glad to have the service.”

“Easy process. Friendly staff. The rate advertised online was much cheaper than what I had to pay; it seemed a bit expensive. That said, the service was good and the van we rented was brand new. Can’t complain really. I think I had seen the daily rate if you rent more than one day (£50ish?) and then I paid £80ish for one day as a single day rental.”
