“Second time this year I hired a van from Dorset Vehicle Rental. Straight forward and no issues like the previous time. Likely to use again when needed.”

“Really friendly service, nice smart little car. My only critique would be you allow clients to select 11am as the pick up time but the office shuts at 11am. Bit weird. Why not just say 10.30am pick up?”

“We always choose Dorset Vehicle Rentals and have used them for about 20 years. They still have the ethos of a local family-run company (even if they're not anymore!), prices are good, the range of vehicles is good and the staff always helpful and friendly. My only tiny niggle is with the new body damage tablet-based system, which doesn't always work as well as it might”

“Good service, was able to book in advance. Only downside was that I had to give a landline number on the collection of vehicle which I do not have, had to use a family member number. Seems a bit out dated as plenty of people these days only rely on mobile phones and do not have a landline.”

“One person hadn’t returned their van the night before. So my van was the replacement for someone going to Europe. I was running late when a different vehicle was provided. It was excellent and a bit of a bonus. But no time to gen up on the vehicle before driving it away. Not sure I see the sense in the new fuel protocol, where I had a low tank 3 8ths full. And had to guess just how much the top up would be in litres, or cash? I prefer the old protocol, of a full tank, to be topped up on getting home!”

“A bit slow when picking up the vehicle, didn’t seem to be enough office staff. The van had some scensor problems that were a bit worrying, but all worked ok”

“Van in good condition but when paying it would have been clearer if the amounts being taken were confirmed ie deposit and collision waiver pending plus another collision waiver. I did email no one replied. I phoned and was told it would be recredited but a little unclear but apart from that good.”

“Service was good, but we will not be using you again as you no longer enable a Saturday pick up for a Sunday one day rental. Big corporations always lose flexibility.-shame.”

“Very helpful and vehicle was lovely and clean. Only problem was that there was one eighth of a tank of fuel when I picked it up. Otherwise I would use them again”

“Ford Luton Transit was almost brand new and only had 853miles on the clock - a really nice vehicle. On motorway driving back to Portland from Warwickshire there was a message on the dash to add ‘Adblue’ which I had to ask in a garage about and put in 3.5 Litres which cost £17.50. Very surprised as new vehicle from Ford that the Adblue was not full on delivery to Dorset Vehicle Rentals. Other than that - great service as always from Andrew Wright at Dorset Vehicle Rentals.
