So the delivery didn’t come on the day I wanted even though I booked it for the furthest date available. I think I should have got a text to say they are a hour away which I didn’t. On the delivery the driver said there’s a problem... the bag was ripped at the bottom and the pallet was smashed to bit from loading, so stones were everywhere. The driver took pictures of the damage goods. Hats off the the driver as he gave me a hand with everything. Overall not very impressed

Hi Scott, thank you for your review. We're very sorry for the issues with your delivery and damaged bags. Hauliers are reporting a strain on the network due to massive volumes of goods moving through the UK courier network, and have warned of potential delays for some deliveries. We have advised this on our website - and although the vast majority of deliveries are continuing to arrive punctually, some orders are experiencing delays of up to 2 working days. We also apologise that the driver didn't call an hour before the delivery - unfortunately, due to how busy they are, they are prioritising timely deliveries over communication. However, we are happy to learn that the driver went above and beyond to give you extra help - this is the service Decorative Aggregates and our 3rd party couriers are known for. Once again we sincerely apologise for the difficulties you experienced and for any inconvenience this caused.

Paid extra for AM delivery. Never arrived until late afternoon, sent email about it. No refund no nothing 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

Disappointed, order 3 bags of chips on the Thursday for delivery the following Wednesday, never showed til Friday and there was only 2 bags delivered, never got the third bag till the following Monday

Although the vast majority of goods are arriving on time, the haulage network is currently extremely busy. We use several national hauliers, and all have warned of possible delays of up to 2 working days or more which we have advised on our website and customer emails. Once again we sincerely apologise for the delay and for any inconvenience this caused.

Easy to order and the gravel is very good. However, everything inbetween was bad. Placed the order for a Friday delivery. By 3:30pm on the day of delivery the bag had not arrived. Tried calling the number on the website. Constantly engaged. Emailed Alisha as it says to do on the confirmation email. Didn't hear back. Emailed Lucy as it says to do on the website. Two hours later I received an out of office reply that said due to Lockdown they are operating with reduced staff numbers so it is taking them 2 - 4 working days to reply. By the time I had ordered by gravel Lockdown was not in effect so the out of office email was out of date and also any company that takes 2 - 4 working days to respond needs to look at their customer service. This isn't 2002, with slow/delayed replies. Bag of gravel eventually turned up on the Tuesday, so four days after the chosen scheduled delivery date. No response to my original emails. No follow up to apologise for the delays. No communication at all beyond the automated emails. Very poor customer service all round.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry for the delay to your order. We use a number of hauliers and all are reporting that volumes are currently at unprecedented levels within the logistics pallet sector. The Road Haulage Association has also highlighted severe driver shortages. The current issue with deliveries is not confined to our company; it is industry wide and will take some time to resolve. Hauliers are understandably prioritising resources on deliveries, and as a result they are not communicating regularly with us regarding timings. We have worked with our hauliers for many years and are doing all we can to support their businesses during these difficult times. It will take some time for the sector to be fully resourced and, whilst the majority of our orders continue to be delivered on time, we have added warnings of potential delays via our website and on order/delivery communications. We are responding to all calls/emails but it is taking longer as we are waiting for any information to reach us. We realise that this is frustrating and are sorry for the inconvenience you have experienced. We hope we can rely on your understanding given the circumstances.

Blocked my drive, asked the driver to put the delivery to the side of the drive, when I looked he was driving off it was to late to rectify the problem

Booked a time for delivery on the day several texts to change time no delivery in the end unable to contact firm as phone not answered sent the 2 emails regarding the delivery and what was going to happen not answered. Text next day with time finally delivered 24 hours late with no input from firm no customer care. Firm state it’s down to the delivery firm they have and have no contact with them or where the order is. I would suggest they get another firm to do it as other firms seem to manage on time or before so I will not be using again good with excuses not with delivering as stated

Item was as ordered...however delivery left on the road so I had to move a tonne of slate by hand at 4pm on a Friday! Thank you very much

Hi Kirsty, thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused by having to carry the material from the road however we do outline on our website that all deliveries are kerbside as the 3rd party hauliers are only insured to deliver by the road.

This is the fourth time using this company. The first three were excellent. This time was different the delivery was made when only my wife was in. I got home to find the roll of weed prevention membrane was missing. I emailed the company to get an automated message stating that I would get a reply within 5 days. Waited no reply was desperate to get the gravel laid so went out and purchased a roll. Still waiting for a reply.

Aggregates fine. Delivery company you subcontracted to awful. Box truck incapable to get up the road for delivery. Only a weezy driver to unload, he could bearly get the 2 pallets out of the truck. Why not 2 men? Tradepoint manged to get the rest of my heavy delivery to my door with an appropriate vehicle.

We use a range of independent national hauliers to fulfil deliveries and unfortunately they do not inform us of any delays. The haulage network is under pressure at the moment due to a huge volume of freight moving through the courier network which may be causing delays for some customers. We outline this as clearly as we can on our website and in your dispatch email, however, we understand that any delay is frustrating and once again we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I have as very disappointed with the service of Decorative Agg. I called before I placed my order and was told I would get my order on time. I ordered a week in advance. It came four days late. What made it worse that no one picked up the phone and there was only an email contact with was slow in reply, so I assume there were a lot of delayed orders. It's unfair to keep someone else waiting for an order, as they can't to out. I also booked two days off and these were wasted. The only good thing was that the order was dropped of very close to my front gate, but that was due to the haulage company. I will not b using this organisation again

We use a number of independent national hauliers, all of whom are currently reporting extremely high volumes of freight, which is placing a strain on the delivery system. Whilst customer orders are being dispatched from our premises on time – and the majority of orders are arriving punctually - some deliveries are being delayed for 48 hours or more within the haulage network. Unfortunately, we do not have advance notice of when or where these delays might happen and, once in the haulage network, we rely on the hauliers to inform us of the delay. I received an email on the delivery day informing me my order could be up to 48 hours delay and could not contact anyone to find out if I was to receive my goods or not. Not helpful when special arrangements had been made for help with receiving and moving the slate, necessary as I am disabled and my husband is 85 years old and suffers from a bad heart.

Ordered stone to be delivered on Friday 26.03.2021 to use over the weekend. Didn't turn up till monday 29th having had to ring a few times to chase it.

Communication was awful, no response to email, no one picking up the phone when called and then I received an automated email answer saying emails will be responded to with. 3 to 5 days ! Seriously........ Delivery was promised for Thursday and it actually turned up on Monday.. A real shame as the stone is really really good - just let down by delivery and major lack of communication.
