Not delivered as promised and I had taken the day off, I called the transport section and they explained that the delivery had been returned and they would delivered by 9 am next as I was leaving for a short break and agsin didn’t turn up so I called to be to.d the driver called in sick and I ask at whst point was I going to be told. Totally unacceptable

Hi David, we are sorry for the delays you have experienced with your order. This is the first we have been made aware of a delay regarding your delivery. As you may be aware, the UK haulage network is experiencing nationwide delays due to serious driver shortages of over 100,000 HGV drivers. We outsource our deliveries to independent hauliers, all of whom are reporting possibilities for delays which we have reiterated on our website and checkout procedure. While the product and price are good, on two occasions delivery has been a nightmare. First time 850 kg delivered two days early so I had no one to help unload and when I refused to take delivery, threatened that I would have to pay a second delivery charge. Second order delivered late. Drivers rude and unhelpful. No apology and again no one to help with 1000kg of gravel.

Good product but very poor service! Product delivered 3 days earlier than planned with less than an hours notice from courier it was coming. This may be OK for a small package, but when it is a palletised delivery this is far from acceptable as special arrangements were needed (they don't deliver on a hiab which I knew hence prep needed, resulting in me selecting a date I would be home). Ended up leaving work to rush home - highly unprofessional and inconvenient. Tried to contact company - phone cuts off after a single ring and emails go unanswered (still awaiting a reply after several weeks!) Quality of product delivered generally seems OK, but if there is an issue at all, good luck trying to get in touch with them!!

I have had 3 deliveries from this company. The first 2 deliveries I had no issues with, everything was fine. However the 3rd delivery was 2 days late meaning my partner had 2 days off work unpaid waiting for a delivery that never showed up... No email, no phone call, no correspondence at all. I was even told on the 2nd day it was out for delivery when it obviously wasn't. Need to sort out customer communication FAST...

Stone delivered was exactly as described really good. Unfortunatley we had 3 orders and none of them where delivered on the day arranged.

Hi Gary, we're pleased to learn you were happy with the product and found it was exactly as described on our website. We do apologise for any delay experienced with the delivery. We outsource our deliveries to independent couriers, all of whom are reporting of the potential for delays due to the nationwide UK driver shortage which is being reported on by the BBC. Sadly this is impacting all sectors, including supermarkets. As a result we advise on our website and checkout page that some orders may experience delays of up to 2 working days or more. Did not arrive on the date it should of. No one answered the phone to find out why. Eventually they emailed me back. The firm outsourced to make the delivery was awful the driver wasn’t equipped and couldn’t deliver the pallet safely and left it on the road. How language was inappropriate. Not a good experience from start to end!

The delivery time was excellent. The product however is far from advertised. Bought grab bag of polar white pebbles. When unloading them, a lot of the coating came off, leaving a white chalk like powder on my clothes and more worryingly exposing the stones as more brown. After 10 days, the majority are now a beige or brown rather than polar white. Really concerned and am awaiting a response.

Would of been happier if 7 of the bags hadn't of had splits in them causing us to lose some of the bag before it's destination. Other than that great

Buying the stones was easy but the delivery was awful. The DiMarco lorry arrived but he had no way of delivering the 850kg load into my driveway. He asked me if I had a bad back or any heart problems. I said no, so he said could I help him to try and get it into my driveway. The pallet was broken so his manual pump only lifting machine would not fit. He then got the load off the lorry but could not steer it into the drive and it was too heavy to get up a very small incline on the pavement. In the end I said leave it on the grass verge of the road. Not at all convenient and it meant I had to work immediately to move the stone rather than do it over a few days as the load was not secure as it was outside of my property. Very poor delivery.

Hi David, we're pleased to hear that you found buying from us to be easy however we are saddened to learn that you were let down by the delivery. We advise on our website that all deliveries are kerbside only, and although many drivers will accommodate our customers by leaving goods where convenient, they are not insured to do so. Unfortunately, as we outsource our deliveries to independent companies were are not able to influence this policy. We understand how this may have been an inconvenience and we sincerely apologise for any frustration this caused.

My last big bag of stones must have came from the bottom of the pile. They were all covered in a thick cement like mud. I had to use many gallons of water to wash them. My drive is still covered in it. The area outside my back door is covered in mud which my cat and dog step in and cover my kitchen floor. I can't get rid of it. So disappointed.

Hi Christine, we're so sorry about this. All our products are sourced naturally from quarries, so it is completely normal for some dust or mud/dirt to appear in the bags. Firstly I was pleased with the cobbles BUT the delivery was not good. It arrived a day early when nobody was in to tell them where we wanted them put. My phone number was on the delivery note but nobody phoned. They left them on my NEW front drive and left scuff marks all over it. I complained and was asked to send photos which i did on 8/7/21 I have not heard anything since.

They were 1 day late, no contact from customer service, they should invest in trucks with grab tool to not put bags on pavements.

Hi, we're sorry your goods arrived a day late. We work with a number of national UK haulage companies, and they are all experiencing a strain due to driver shortages and unprecedented volumes of freight. They have warned that some deliveries may experience delays of up to 2 working days or more, which we have reiterated on our website and email communications. Unfortunately, due to the weight and logistics involved with delivering decorative aggregates we are only able to deliver by tail-lift pallet trucks - we also specify this on our website. We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the delay and hope you are pleased with your stone.

Very disapointed with the delivery, I booked the day off work for the delivery day which I had selected as Wednesday 7th July, Wednesday came and went with no delivery or communication, the delivery didn’t turn up until Tuesday 13th July, when I was out because I couldn’t sit at home every day indefinitely waiting for a delivery to maybe turn up

I ordered the items specifically to arrive on the Friday They turned up on the Monday which meant I had to take the day off work and lost all the manpower I had arranged for the Saturday The communication was non existent I was very disappointed and regret ordering with the company. They need to communicate with the delivery company better

Hello Neil - we're very sorry your goods did not arrive on the Friday. We have advised on our website and emails that due to the current strain on the UK haulage network, some orders may experience delays of up to 2-3 working days or more. Unfortunately, we are not informed by the third party couriers when delays might occur and you hadn't contacted us about any delay. Product was fine, but delivery information was very poor, and when you try and call to get hold of someone to confirm we could not get through, I resorted to emailing, and I did get a reply, unfortunately they came back with wrong information, so there is obviously some communication issues between DA and the companies they use to deliver.

The sales team is working exceptionally hard to answer all phone calls, however due to demand we are currently receiving an unprecedented amount of enquiries which is causing the line to be congested. We outsource our deliveries to independent third party delivery companies, which means we don't have access to their internal systems and rely on them to provide us with accurate dates which we then relay. We do apologise if the information relayed was altered or inaccurate on this occasion and for any confusion caused, however we are pleased you are satisfied with the product.

Delivery was a complete nightmare , came the day before booked and I was at work in a training session . ( made myself very unpopular ) then the weight of the slate had crushed the pallet and pallet truck wouldn’t go under , and on and on it went until a neighbour came and helped out , ween finally got the pallet truck under . The trailer back was hardly big enough for the pallet and the truck to sit on 🙈🙈 awful all round .

Stones were not 40mm as advertised nor were they dark grey! Delivery was good, customer service responsive.

Slate was good but customer service poor - wasn’t delivered on day stated, no communication despite sending an email as to when it would be delivered so it was fortunate I was in when it was. Driver also damaged gate post
