“Unfortunately the delivery only had 1 bag although I ordered 2. A second delivery was scheduled for the following day however both delivery managed to break my grate covers even though I had no problem with 28 tons of concrete last year without breaking the grate.”

“I was promised a delivery for Friday 12th March. Nothing turned up. when I called on Monday 15th March I was told that the 25 bags of welsh slate had been lost, and that they would deliver my order on Wednesday morning 17th March. Nothing turned up. When I phoned I was told they decided not to send out another delivery. I had now wasted 5 days waiting for this delivery. Eventually I was promised it would be delivered on Thursday 18th March. It did eventually arrive. To lose 25 x 20kg bags of welsh slate beggars belief, and then to lie to me about subsequent deliveries only served to make me more annoyed!”

“Ordered 3 x 850 bulk bags of blue slate. came on time but what a mess. the bags had split all over the lorry meaning I had to get the local farmer to help with his tractor. Took 2 men over an hour. I have emailed Alisha 3 times with no response.”

“At least one third of the beach pebbles were broken into small pieces and there was a great deal of rubble. As a result had to create a trench of 4 metres to bury the rubble and unusable pebbles. This created a very hard job for a senior citizen suffering from sciatica.”

“Purchased cotswold gold decorative aggregate, but what arrived looked nothing like aggregate picture on web site - isn't gold but a grubby fawn. Very disappointed. Attempted to call to query if i had been sent correct product but constantly cut off.”

“Delivery driver would not deliver the 850kg bag of pebbles which I ordered onto my driveway. Instead, he left the bag on the pavement at the end of my drive and I have had to manually move the pebbles myself... I appreciate that Decorative Aggregates outsource their delivery to another company, but that sort of service is extremely poor.”

“The gravel is only red when wet.When dry it is pink! contrasts sharply with existing in situ red gravel.Disappointing.”

“Very rude delivery driver who ended up scattering a lot of my gravel on to the road and refused to pick it up, he just drove off and I had to scoop it all of the road myself!!! When I called to. Complain to your company the lady I spoke to was just as rude and said they don’t deal with the delivery side. It’s definitely a job for 2 people as the deliveries can be very heavy.”

“Ordered 40mm plum slate in 25kg bags. The slate were sopping wet inside meaning it was full of slurry. Had to spend ages cleaning them before I could use them”

“Some good quality 40mm material in this 850kg bulk back but far too much smaller stones and fines mixed in to bulk the product up. Can't recommend this I'm afraid.”

“I would have given 5 Stars BUT the weed membrane I ordered didn't come with first order on the day. The delivery person asked my name which I realized after was put down as me accepting the order despite the fact that I queried the lack of second part of order. When the second delivery arrived the membrane wasn't with that either. I have since emailed to say that I didn't receive the whole order. The first time I asked for membrane asap but heard nothing. The second time I asked for missing order to be cancelled as we had managed without it and could the £43.18 be credited to my card payment. Again I have heard nothing. If Decorative Aggregates have reimbursed me then I will upgrade to 4 Stars, missing the top rating because they have not replied to my 2 emails. Christine South”

“Price good. Delivery time all very good, as scheduled. Quality of aggregate not so good. Far too much sand mixed in Cotswold. Had wash and sieve a ton of aggregate. Not ideal as it took much longer than expected”

“The delivery driver was reluctant to place the pallets on the footpath although the bulk bag was placed on 2 pallets making it possible to place it kerbside and then lift it with the top pallet onto the path. - otherwise delivery was on schedule and swift.”
