“The stone is great but delivery and customer communication is terrible. Don’t take a day off work like I did and wait for a delivery which arrived 3 days later. For a company that has a contract with B&M I think that a disclaimer on their website claiming they are not responsible for delivery dates is shambolic. The product is good but the customer service is like dealing with a company in Kazakhstan.”

Hello Gordon thank you for your review. The UK haulage network is currently experiencing incredibly high volumes of traffic and extreme pressure due to driver shortages. We use several hauliers and the issue is nationwide and affecting all sectors and they are prioritising delivery over communication. Even though, over 90% of orders are being delivered punctually, we are advising customers of the potential for delay via the website and order confirmations. “This delivery was requested for 14th May but did not arrive. I telephoned and got no reply! I was informed that the delivery was past on to another company. They did not deliver on four separate occasions. I genuinely was of the opinion that I had been scammed until I received delivery on 21st May, one week late, which was not acceptable. I am most unhappy and discontent with your service.”

Dear Anita, thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We sincerely apologise for the delayed delivery of your goods and for any subsequent difficulty you had with reaching us. We use several 3rd party courier's to deliver and they are all reporting the potential for delays due to a strain on the UK delivery network. Although over 98% of our orders continue to arrive on time, unfortunately, some customers are experiencing delays. Because the couriers are independent companies, we have no way of accessing their internal systems, and at present they are prioritising timely deliveries over communication which makes it particularly difficult for us to learn of specific order delays and to provide new ETA's. Although your goods have now been delivered, we understand the inconvenience of such delays and once again we sincerely apologise.

“Poor customer service Delivery promised for 3 days consecutively - no delivery arrived even though each day it was out for delivery ! 3 days off work unpaid waiting on false promises !! No apology Only an email that says it must have been a nightmare ! Would not recommend company !! Trying to get hold of ‘the right department’ and then for some one to call you back !!”

“Terrible customer service. The delivery companies employed by DA are the lowest quality available - my order had at least two failed delivery attempts, where the delivery company could not unload the bulk bag due to unsuitable equipment and/or untrained operators. The result was a delayed project and days worth of wasted time. I was only offered a meek apology and a refund. He actual costs incurred were far higher. As such I highly recommend avoiding this “national” company and choosing a local building merchant instead.”

“I specified a delivery date which allowed twodays notice rather than request the next day delivery that was available. At the end of the order proccess it said I could add another item to my order for free delivery. At the time I couldn't think of anything. I place my order in the morning, in lest than two hours at approx lunchtime I called up and asked if I could add something to my odere. I was told no I couldn't has it had already been dispatched even though it wasn't meant to be delivered for two days. At first I accepted this but then thought that can't be right, why would have been dispated already, so I called back. This time I was told that if I added something to my oder it would increase the weight to over one ton and I would be charge despite the fact it had offered me this. I then got notification that my order was coming to me the next day and not on the day I had requested. It wasn't pleasant speaking with the people who took my calls. I don't think I'll be using them again. I like friendly, flexible, reliable companies.”

“The stones were nice but the driver only had a trolly lift so the stones had to be put in the middle of the driveway in the evening, leaving me to barrow them out the way in the rain so we could move the car. Get a HIAB”

“White stones are basically grey stones with white powder on the them which comes off in the rain - my front garden is covered in this powder. Delivery is kerbside or in my case on the road, so I had to spend 2 days carrying 800kg into my garden. Total faff.”

“Looked at some Grey stones on the website for them to arrive and quickly noticed they were not grey nor were they anything like the picture. First thought was they must be covered in dust as it says on the website.... must be washed to see there true colour.... washed and still not grey. Raised my concerns to customer services to get the expected reply of you must wash then to see there true colour.... washed again still not grey... Emailed again with further photos showed stones that have been washed several times were still not grey and were instead brown. Emailed to ask if they could please let me know if they could point to which bit was supposed to be grey... response, you got the correct items you need to wash them Resulting in having stones that I didn't want, washed several times and still not grey or anything like grey. No alternative offered, no recompense items that are clearly not what I ordered and lazy email responses which I would presume they just copy and paste. Dont waste your time here, go somewhere else to get stones”

“Great product with the option of individual bags. Delivery company was very accommodating which was very important as they had a electric pallet truck and was able to position the order where I wanted it instead of dumping it in the road as some other companies do.”
