“I specified a delivery date which allowed twodays notice rather than request the next day delivery that was available. At the end of the order proccess it said I could add another item to my order for free delivery. At the time I couldn't think of anything. I place my order in the morning, in lest than two hours at approx lunchtime I called up and asked if I could add something to my odere. I was told no I couldn't has it had already been dispatched even though it wasn't meant to be delivered for two days. At first I accepted this but then thought that can't be right, why would have been dispated already, so I called back. This time I was told that if I added something to my oder it would increase the weight to over one ton and I would be charge despite the fact it had offered me this. I then got notification that my order was coming to me the next day and not on the day I had requested. It wasn't pleasant speaking with the people who took my calls. I don't think I'll be using them again. I like friendly, flexible, reliable companies.”

“The quality of stones was good but the second bag I ordered was full of bits rather than cobbles. Picture and video attached. Felt short changed.”

“I waited all day until well after the latest delivery time (6:00) but had not had a call nor my delivery. The order eventually arrived around 8:15pm by which time I was out. Again, there was no call 1 hr before the delivery as there should have been. Luckily, a neighbour spotted the truck and stepped in to take delivery. I had planned to re-use the pallett the order came on, but it was broken. Actual product is OK, but delivery was a let-down.”

“Unfortunately on this occasion, we had boulders much larger than what was ordered in the 150mm - 450mm range and our customer had complained. I will continue to use them as all of our orders before have been correct but I will now have to put this right.”

“Delivery on time brilliant but returning an item not great… ordered a replacement paid delivery charge and the driver left with an empty vehicle and went bad to the yard! Sent another driver a day later (apparently broken down but that wasn’t true!!) to collect what could have been collected the previous day and then charged me double the delivery for the return!! Don’t ever need to return anything you will get penalised for it BIG time!!!!”

“Product was fine but the company put the wrong address on the delivery paperwork and the slate was also put on the wrong pallet. Luckily we had a great driver who took the time to find the correct address and we had to actually break the pallet apart to move the slate off the lorry. I gave the correct postcode but the delivery address was for an address five miles away! Product fine Delivery driver- great! Company's ability for providing correct paperwork- very poor!”

“Hi When the bogs arrived there was clear wrapping on them to hold the bags in place on the pallet and in places the wrapping was stuck to the bags so when removing the wrapping it was ripping the bags and I lost about 2/3 bags worth of pebbles due to this from a number of different bags - the delivery driver was also very rude/unhelpful and just wanted to get away”

“Good product but be careful when ordering and particularly the pick and mix option that can lead to two orders being placed. Return delivery charge excessive when it was the ordering system at fault. Unwilling to listen or discuss.”

“Stones were all covered in sand that still hasn’t washed off and the colour is nothing like the pictures so do not match with my other stones and have left the sand all over my slate. Would not use this company again.”

“40mm Blue Slates Chippings have so many big lump stones, which are dangerous walking on them & they're much bigger than 40mm! Disappointed!”

“The product is not what I expected or wanted. It was described as 10mm to 20mm "pea gravel". It is all 20mm at least and far too big for my purpose. Now I have 800 kilos of product that I don't want.”

“Arrived a day early...luckily had a very helpful driver who went above and beyond Ordered Graphite Grey Slate Chippings 40mm - mixture of colours in bags including white stone and some 100mm, lots with rust color in stones”

It does not appear that we have been informed of this situation before this review, please could you send some details through to enquiries@derbyaggs.com so we may investigate with our haulier. All our hauliers should have the correct equipment to allow a kerbside delivery and we would like to follow up on this if this was not the case with your delivery.

“The stones are great and came really quickly and the company is great however Pallet force for delivery is awful the guy who delivered has left marks on our driveway and damaged a drain cover with his poor equipment or poor training of how to use it”

We do offer a kerbside delivery and so the driver is only obliged to drop the goods on the kerbside and not actually on a driveway. If they choose to do so, this is entirely at their discretion. “Lovely stones but delivery from Meachers ruined the whole experience. Very unhelpful driver unwilling to reverse into drive unlike the courier from proturf the week before. Nearly refused the delivery but had to carry the stones myself.”

Hello, We do offer a kerbside delivery and so the driver is only obliged to drop the goods on the kerbside and not actually on a driveway. If they choose to do so, this is entirely at their discretion. Thank you for the review and we do hope the material is to your liking.
