The stones are great and came really quickly and the company is great however Pallet force for delivery is awful the guy who delivered has left marks on our driveway and damaged a drain cover with his poor equipment or poor training of how to use it

We do offer a kerbside delivery and so the driver is only obliged to drop the goods on the kerbside and not actually on a driveway. If they choose to do so, this is entirely at their discretion. Lovely stones but delivery from Meachers ruined the whole experience. Very unhelpful driver unwilling to reverse into drive unlike the courier from proturf the week before. Nearly refused the delivery but had to carry the stones myself.

Hello, We do offer a kerbside delivery and so the driver is only obliged to drop the goods on the kerbside and not actually on a driveway. If they choose to do so, this is entirely at their discretion. Thank you for the review and we do hope the material is to your liking.

Products excellent - delivery vehicle hopelessly inadequate and inappropriate for the job. Delivered in a hugely high box truck - immediately limits delivery anywhere near trees. Elec mini forklift would not travel on anything but rock hard asphalt or very hard concrete. Delivery charge over 50 pounds made for this - even though the jumbo bag was delivered "free" ...doesnt add up. ??? Wondering whether or not to continue ordering...? Had to Barrow over 1 ton 1/4 mile up driveway. Thank you Peter.

Hi Peter, Thank you for your order, positive review of our product and negative feedback regarding the delivery. We describe the delivery terms on the website and explain that the vehicle used will be an 18T rigid body vehicle with tail-lift offload. We also explain the driver is obligated to deliver to kerbside and anything thereafter is down to driver discretion. It sounds as though the ground was not suitable for the pump truck to manoeuvre the pallet. We do require a hard-standing surface for this reason and we cannot deliver onto rough or soft terrain. We incorporate the delivery charge into the displayed price of the majority of our products but not all which is the reason you have been charged with one pallet delivery itemised. Again, this is made clear on our website. I would hope that with the product being excellent, you do continue to order from us but please do pay special attention to the delivery terms. Thank you again for your order.

Was impressed with how easy it was to order and how quick it arrived how ever stone was absolutely filthy and generally had about 100mm of grit at bottom of bulk bag. As a result I feel I didn’t get the correct amount of stone that was ordered and wasted time washing stone to get a finish my customer deserved.

The only txt I received was telling me it had been delivered. Packing of two pallets way over the top.

Good Morning Roy, Thank you for your review. We do request for a call an hour before delivery on all orders. We do apologise that this didn't happen for you. With regards to our packaging, the pallets get shrink wrapped to prevent the movement of goods whilst in transit and to try and prevent any damages on orders. Kind Regards Decorative Aggregates

It was delivered a day early, and no call or message to let us know we had taken the next day off work to be in for them, no access to garden which is why we asked for the day we did. They got delivered to the communal path and when we got to them after work there was 8 bags missing, due to being left in a communal area. Complete disgrace! Not happy at all! To go back onto the website and also then see the stones have added £40 onto the price we paid, due to wanting the stones to be the same we had hoped to REPLACE the stolen ones from your mistake

Product was okay, but the delivery was absolutely dreadful. We had ordered 3 big bags of slate chippings, and the delivery driver had the "wrong pallet truck" and was unable to deliver them where we wanted. In the end he managed to put 2 bags on the pavement, but decided to leave the 3rd one on the CORNER of the road, as shown in the images, which easily could have caused an accident. He seemed in a rush, and not accommodating at all. He just dangerously left it on the corner of the road and left. We had to rush and get friends and neighbours round to empty the bag into our garden in order to reduce the risk of someone crashing into it, and so the end result was not what we wanted, but what we had to do. Overall, very disappointed and will not be using your services again in the future.

When you order, they ask you to choose a delivery date. So, you do, but they then tell you that delivery isn’t guaranteed and could take 2 days longer. Bad enough, but if your delivery is going to be delayed ~ they don’t tell you. And when you call, you are told “we can’t keep track of every order”. Very disappointing.

Delivery was a day later than scheduled we weren’t advised of this so waited in expecting it. When is delivered hollowing day delivery driver dropped it a house away from my mums in the middle of the public pavement which meant my mum udon Sanger for her neighbour who was also retired to move the whole delivery in small loads which was back braking and time consuming

Hi Elaine, Thank you for the review. We are sorry to hear that you have had an issue with the delivery being made one house further down the road than was required. I cannot see that we were alerted to any issues at the time of delivery which would have allowed us to have the haulier move the goods to the correct location. While we do warn of potential delays affecting some orders due to issues within the haulage industry, you should have been informed of the delay so we apologise that you were not. We hope the goods are to your satisfaction.

The 40mm gravity slate chippings were more like 140mm not good for older people to walk on

Delivery came to my home address, and not to my customers address which I had given for delivery. It is the second time this has happened. The delivery also blocked my van in, so I couldn't load it into my van either, which meant moving it twice. However I would order from them again, but I would double check the delivery address when the confirmation email comes.

We made the delivery to the address provided by yourself when ordering online - a member of the team has emailed you to confirm with you that this was the address entered on the order. The delivery driver should leave goods either where instructed by the customer or in a safe and sensible place, and we do apologise that the goods were left in an inconvenient location.

One day late with delivery, pallet was delivered in a van with a pump up truck it was near impossible to move on gravel driveway. Pallet was left blocking access to driveway impeding my neighbour and myself. Driver did everything possible to manhandle the pallet but it was impossible to manoeuvre. I spent three hours transferring product to my garden using buckets !

Hello, thank you for your review. We're very sorry for any inconvenience the location of the bag caused. We outsource our deliveries to independent national third party couriers who are only able to deliver on the kerbside and will place the bag in a location they deem most safe which we advise within the delivery section on our website.

Very disappointed. I bought 2 1000kg bags shared with a neighbour who also bought 3 1000kg bags and although we both ordered blue slate, mine was blue but the neighbour was sent plum slate. As a result I have two different colours in my section of landscaping as I needed more than the neighbour.

Hi David, we are sorry you were disappointed. We have looked into this and found that both orders were placed over a month apart. Unfortunately, we were never contacted regarding the colour difference. As slate is a natural product, the colour can vary over time and this may be the result of a different vein.

I tried to re order the same amount & the price had gone up 30 % , I then enquired why ‘I was asked whether I had seen that there was a haulage issue in the UK ‘ good product awe full service

Product OK but delivery is subbed to a third party who did not deliver on the designated day (after waiting all day with no contact) and then finally delivered 3 days later without providing any notice. One of the pallets was broken so it took 30 minutes to unload, blocking the street

Hello Carl, thank you for your review. We're sorry that you experienced a delay with receiving your stone and for any inconvenience, the damaged pallet caused. As you may have seen in the news, there is a nationwide HGV driver shortage which is leading to potential delivery delays across all sectors in the country. We are working closely with our partners in the haulage network and we are communicating on our website and order confirmation email that some orders may experience delays of up to 2 working days (with some postcodes experiencing extended delays) as a result. You delivered the stone on pallets and left it in the road no help at all wouldnt use again never had a delivery left in the road

We apologise for any inconvenience this caused - we outsource our deliveries to third party hauliers and we advise on our website that all deliveries are kerbside only; unfortunately the drivers are not insured to deliver the goods directly onto private property. Although service and delivery were good,the quality of the aggregate was not what I expected. I ordered 40mm stones and the majority were in excess of 70mm some even over 100mm. I had to lay these as the area was already prepared and the 3 bags were taking up needed parking space on the drive. Not very happy with the finish as far too many large stones . Would not use this again.
