Nice people, products are good prices but AVOID. We're in a seemingly unending saga with the fitters they subcontract to. Save yourself grief and find someone local to supply & fit.

I bought £1500 worth of floor tiles and provisionally ordered a £50 adhesive. I called and asked for confirmation that I had ordered the correct adhesive and was encouraged to upgrade to a £90 tub. When we used the adhesive, it did not dry. When I queried this with dctuk I was told that it was the correct adhesive but my floor was wrong. I didn't need to change the adhesive, I need to change my floor. When I asked for a refund on the adhesive to mitigate my costs I was asked if I had the advice in writing... Do NOT trust anyone from DCTUK to give good advice nor take responsibility for bad advice. Useless and dishonest.

Hi Derek, I have listened to the calls you made with our sales advisor and I think the impression you give in your review is not a fair summary of events but I do understand your frustration at what has occurred. Our advisor did spend quite a lot of time with you on multiple calls ensuring you were sold the correct floor, with the correct adhesive and with the right stair nosings. The adhesive was not upgraded because it is a more expensive product but because it's the recommended adhesive for the type of flooring that you purchased. The problem that has arisen is that you didn't mention that your subfloor was a painted wooden subfloor and our advisor didn't check this with you either. This is really unfortunate and it's rare for someone to have a painted wooden subfloor, because in most conditions this adhesive would have been perfect for the job. We will ensure this question is asked in future and thank you for bringing it to our attention via this review. Regarding the refund - I think it's a reasonable request from yourself and if this has not already been done then contact me on jon@dctuk.com and I will ensure this is refunded back to you. We are putting new procedures in place to ensure that reasonable requests like this are processed in cases like this. On this point we got it wrong and we apologise for this. I'm sorry this has not been a good experience for you and hope that you do return in the future when we can change your mind. After a lengthy ordering process, goods delivered are the wrong ones. Need 4mm Luvanto click to replace damaged ones already fitted, but for some reason ended up with 5mm and they don't click together. Very disappointed because I can't use them.

Hi Beryl really sorry to hear this, it is a bit confusing as you were sold Luvanto Click Plus which is the new replacement for Luvanto Click. Sold flooring that I was told was compatible and was not. I called and sent pictures to rectify the problem I never had a reply.

Hi Barry, I have listened back to the original call when you placed the order and although our advisor did tell you that you were ordering "Luvanto Click Plus" which was different to your previous order of "Luvanto Click", she didn't make it clear enough that these would not be compatible. I agree with you that we should have been clearer in this. And I apologise that this has not been rectified so far. Our Dispatch Manager says he has tried to contact you to arrange collection of these products and a full refund. If you can't find that email please email me at jon@dctuk.com and I will arrange this. A horrendous traumatising experience of damage to property, carpets not laid properly and the situation still not rectified weeks later. Don't use these guys to fit your carpets or you may seriously live to regret it. Use a local contractor you know. The 'proffessional' fitting service by 'superheroes' thier website describes is very different in reality.

Hi Michael, as customer service is our number 1 priority - this wasn't a nice review to read, and is rare to see among our reviews. We're keen to listen and learn from our reviews. But having looked into your project, we honestly feel like this is a unjust and unfair review. There was only one main issue that you were unhappy with, and that was our fitter taking it upon himself to help you by removing the radiator covers, fitting the carpet tiles underneath, shaving the radiator covers at the bottom, and replacing to improve the finish of your installation. This was done to help you and was not part of our quote, but our fitter wanted to help. We understand you were not happy with the quality of the craftsmanship with the refit of the radiator covers and as soon as you made us aware of this we refunded you for the cost of the radiator covers so you could replace them. We did this without quibble or delay. With regards to the snaggings (that occur on any project this size) we emailed you to arrange a fitter to return at your convenience and you replied that you were on holiday. Since then we have not received a response to when you would like the fitter to return. When you do reply we will be happy to finish off the minor snags that are left to fix. I am posting this reply publicly so that other potential customers will not be put off by your review because as I'm sure you will agree - when it comes to reviews - the devil is in the detail. We hope that after the fitter has returned and finished the minor bits left to do, you will be entirely happy with the finished project. Regards Jon Techilovsky Business Development Manager

You have sent me a feedback form asking about dctuk and i simply can't remembr what dctuk is. Your logo does not have a tag line under it to remind me, so massive fail on your side. who are you? In case you haven't noticed, life is super fast and complicated these days, i can't remember who you are just from those initials, i deal with multiple businesses on a daily basis.

Samples never arrived. They sent me a message and I said I hadn’t received them. They said they’d send them again and still nothing turned up. So order off of UK Flooring instead. If they can’t get a sample to you, can’t imagine their order service is any better.

I found staff to be helpful and friendly and the sample arrived quickly. I then realised that you were pretending to have a sale and the item is obtainable elsewhere at the same price. Also your staff are clearly instructed to "hard sell" so I was then bombarded with phone calls and emails. I will therefore make sure to have no further dealings with DCTUK because I do not like such aggressive attitudes which come from the senior management.

You didn't pick up. We don't hard sell to anyone, we give expert advice when it is asked of us. A while after processing my order I was informed by a warehouse person that I would incur an extra £30 "cutting fee". There was no menion of this on the website or order details. What other company slaps on a spurious extra fee after processing an order? After calling some competitors and finding they did not charge such a fee, I challenged this and the fee was waived. Then my order was apparently "lost" and after chasing several times it was eventually delivered. The lost delivery meant I had to delay a tenant costing me money. Not a good experience.

I ordered my samples on a Saturday but almost a week later (Fridayp.m.) I am told that it will be another two or three working days. The website is very misleading.

Delivery didn’t arrive after waiting all day. Finally arrived 5 days late. Promised chocolates as an apology but they never arrived either. Very poor

When I purchased my order online they emailed me and told me it would take 3-4 working days. Then 3-4 working days later they emailed me again saying they would ring me to arrange a delivery in 5 working days. So 5 working days later Still having no phone call or delivery turn up I called them , then they told me my flooring was out of stock. Very unprofessional and still haven’t received my refund yet, will not use this company again.

I contacted them by email which bounced back. Emailed again but had no response - basically really poor and now feel I shouldn't have used this company as they can't be trusted. Bought flooring Order 628430 and clearly states non slip / slip resistant - well it's not! My next step is to write a formal letter of complaint and then legal action as the flooring is not fit for purpose.

Hi Steve, we have checked our inbox and have not received any emails from you and there are no system problems with our emails. Please make sure you are emailing sales@dctuk.com. You can also contact us via livechat or phone. Our phone lines are open Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5.30pm. Secondly the product you purchased was Luvanto Click LVT. This is slip resistant and has been tested under BS7976-2:2002 (wet pendulum test) and has a rating of 62 in dry conditions and 50 in wet conditions. Anything over 36+ has a PTV value that is rated as low slip potential. With the above information now to hand perhaps you might like to revise this review.
