Process of booking our cruise was initially good , and I got all the help I needed ! BUT since booking it I have lost faith in 118 and would never book again through this company . I booked two drinks packages , one for my husband and I and another for my son and his partner. To date I still haven’t had mine added onto my booking , yet my sons has already been added and I booked his after I did ours . The calls I have made is disgusting, I have been put on hold for nearly half hour, and I have just ended the call . Iv spoken to concierge who have just told me what I wanted to hear which isn’t good enough . I’m not at all happy it’s not nice booking a holiday and having the excitement taken out of it because of having to keep chasing things up !! FCC’s haven’t yet been deducted , yet I was told two weeks ago after many calls they would be sorted with in the next 48 hour’s I’m still waiting !!! Because my initial booking experience was good I also booked a surprise cruise for later in the year for my husband , BUT that one is now going to be cancelled I would rather cancel than give 118 any more of my money !!! I have paid my first cruise apart from the FCC that needs deducting or I would of cancelled , just far too much stress . Iv always booked direct with royal Caribbean , no stress all straight forward but I have learnt my lesson and will in future book our future cruises with them . Sorry cruise 118 you really do need to brush up on your customer service!!!

Decided to rebook an Australian cruise which had been cancelled in 2020 due to you know what. My first call was to Phil at 118 Cruises who has been very helpful to us in the past. He provided first class service and talked us through the procedure which resulted in us booking a cruise for November 2023. Hopefully, world travel will be back to "normal" by then.

After booking and trusting the price to b e competitive - I could have got it cheaper direct from p&o. The booking processes seemed arduous. I was leading the process in asking the vital questions not the agent.

As I am sure you will appreciate fares can and do fluctuate especially due to increasing and decreasing demand. Unfortunately, it is sometimes the case that cruise lines drop the price of a cruise or grade of cabin to increase interest on a particular sailing this also applies to flight costs. When a guest calls the contact centre, we can only give the best available fare at the time and advise all customers that if they are happy with the fare, they should secure the booking. All prices are dictated by the cruise lines therefore we have no control over any increases/decreases both during the booking process and thereafter. Please may I also apologise for any service issue you may have encountered, we currently have lots of new sales concierge who as I am sure you would appreciate are learning by experience. I am very sorry that you felt your concierge did not meet your expectations. Rest assured Cruise118 training and support for newer concierge is always ongoing. The process of booking the cruise itself with Cruise 118 was easy and the young man with whom I spoke on the phone was courteous and helpful. However, 2 days after booking I received an email saying I had to register myself with Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL) and print off my tickets. I attempted to do this but it proved impossible because my reservation number was not recognised by Norwegian. I called the customer service team at Cruise 118 only to be put on hold for nearly 20 minutes. The young lady was courteous but unhelpful saying "it works for me!". In clicking the link sent to me to set up an account with NCL I managed to set up the account with Cunard whose relationship with Norwegian is quite unclear. Eventually, the lady said, "I don't know why they sent you that email so early, it's probably just too early for the system to recognise your reference number. Try again after two weeks". It seemed clear that she just wanted rid of me. It is still not sorted out, I still cannot print off tickets, and I cannot get anyone at Cruise 118 Customer Services team to pick up the phone. I'm sincerely hoping that the cruise itself goes better than the booking process. Prof Marshall Hall
