“Vaninsurance.co.uk - Terrible company.
Paid for a deposit (£291), then I was told I have to download and use their app to continue.
They then ring to confirm all the details you have already entered. (Whilst on the phone expect 100 calls from other eager employees at van insurance to call to take more money)
Once I had spoken to them, they said I had to pay £360 for the deposit so I had to pay the different. This was due to an accident date that needed to be amended from the 21st to the 28th as I incorrectly entered the date.
Additionally, my monthly charge went up by roughly £40.
So a massive increase from the price I received online.
I then checked my app, which told me that I had 2 policies open. One for the original price I was given and then a new one with the increased charges.
I then done another quote online with the correct details and it was £6 cheaper than the original quote!! I rang and complained.
They said they would be able to adjust my policy to make it cheaper (they decreased the value of my vehicle and changed the mileage usage without my permission)
I then told them I want to cancel my policy’s as I would use someone else.
They then said that they could offer me the original price if I stayed!
Absolute sh**show of a company.”

Unfortunately there seemed to have been a problem so spoke to an excellent member of staff and then was transferred to a machine which was so annoying.
