The day after paying that extra cost I have been contacted again by the insurance company saying they need to see all the renewal documentation and my official NCB certificate. I can genuinely declare I have never had to produce either of these to a new insurer before. My cheapest was Hastings Essentials, when I approached them, I'm 75, they discriminated against me, increased the quote by almost 40% as I'm 75, why could they not have said so at enquiry time”
