Spent an hour uploading my information. It wouldn't let me pay for the insurance. Had to call the insurance company. They wasted another 40mins of my time. Their system crashed. The agent was useless

After being taken to the Tesco website to purchase home insurance I was not allowed to buy online and hence was forced to call Tesco . After applying for my 'gift' from confused.com several days ago and inputing the code for my Tesco insurance purchase I have received nothing.....

Received a list of quotations, but every link stated "ooops...sorry but the link to your insurer is not available". Eventually gave up, and used Go Compare instead, which was very good.

Once the company you choose is contacted the amount that is quoted disappears completely and becomes hugely inflated. Why offer a price that bears no resemblance to the information you have entered in order to get the quote? Unfortunately the same is true of other comparison websites which all ought to be called fantasy websites!

I put all the information in, including the fact our roof is complex and the quote companies when I approached them to verify the details refused to quote. They wouldn’t even discuss with underwriters.

Tesco Bank was recommended by confused.com for my home insurance but following the Tesco link continually failed. Very disappointing.

When I try and pay for a new home ins policy after I approve on my bank app the site takes me back to payment details again for completion so I have been unable to purchase a policy. And there is no telephone contact to speak to a person to resolve the issue

Same price as all the other insurance comparison sites but they offered £20 of fuel rewards. However, you have to visit Shell 10 times and spend £10 on each visit before the reward is activated, what a con.

You have to fill in a LOT of information to get a quote, and some pieces of information were not clearly part of the quote, once you finally got that far. (In particular whether additional items are covered away from home... I select covered away from home in the confused.com form but I could tell wether that fact was part of the quotes I was getting, and also not clear if this selection had been transferred to the insurance provider once I got to their website.) I did go on to buy insurance from Saga, but not before abandoning the Confused.com based quote and starting again from scratch on the Saga website.

I selected a Hastings premium insurance quotation an tried to pay using both of my credit cards. They were not accepted and I was given a number to call, which I did. The adviser seemed to be shifting me away from my chosen cover and insisting on various types of confirmation despite having my details and reference number. NB I might be the confused one here

The Company I contacted Policy Expert took me all the way to buying the home insurance product only to tell me at the last minute they couldn't insure a self employed gardener due to my tools being kept in my garage. Where else would I keep them & they already knew I was a self employed gardener as I filled all my details correctly on the initial enquiry form. A complete waste of time. I tried again looking at Quote me Happy but decided to stick with my original insurer as very little difference in price once add ons taken into account. Prices quoted are teaser rates & usually need lots of add ons despite putting loads of details into the forms filled out before getting quotes. Won't be using you again - very time consuming & still loads of room for confusion!!

Get quotes then told can't have the particular one you choose, same with second choice, tried third more expensive quote, then asked to phone them as the phone numbers they have aren't mine, very frustrating.
