I spent hours completing the form for Insurance, I wrote the same thing over and over again. Finally the following day I had a quote. I followed the instructions, nothing all I got was you haven’t got any quotes 😡. I tried emailing, the online Help. Frankly I’d never use Confused.com and never advise anyone to bother. Waste of time!!!

The schedule is missing - one can't know in advance if the policy term is for 30 or 60 days unoccupied property, and which policy has either of these as default. So not possible to use the website. I reported it through chat and was asked to chase each provider for this information. I tried that and it too is not possible as they can't read the details through quote reference. So comparison site is of no use. Thanks.

In common with other search engines, Confused produced a quote which was subsequently refused by the quoting company, 1st Central, in spite of my record of over 20 years no claims etc etc. Waste of time, no reasons given including in a phone call. Confused can't explain it either but they should investigate and ban companies that do this.

Some quotes are only valid at the time of the quote and others are valid up to 30 days depending on which provider you choose. They work out the premium based on claims statistics gathered for others with similar details and some insurers do change their rates frequently. Complete waste of time and effort. Quoted a figure for thatched property and then refused to insure it even though none of information was changed. Appalling and the phone handlers of the insurance company are complete morons who do not understand what they are asking, let alone the responses.
