Had to use 3 companies the first 2 could not give me cover to match my needs. One Call but the cover in place before I completed the quote. I immediately told them that i did not want the policy but they are charging me £50. I done the AA cover but can not find it on confused and can not claim my voucher. not happy at all.

A question on locks was not clear. After I ticked what I thought was the answer, I carried on. The house alarm question was not clear, I paid over 300£ pounds for my alarm but not the make you wanted, my alarm man says mind was better. Even then on completion of answers, not allowed to continue. Telephoned the company I had chosen, told them about you but forgot to say ,you should not get any credit. Will not use you again

Went to take insurance out . They took so long I cancelled now I've got to get my money back. The free gift was something to do with holidays .May's well offer a flight to the sun . By the time the insurance company finished stacking things on I was worse of

The top two quotes didn't materialise when you click through as the insurer, popped up a box saying call a broker for specialist insurance (for a bog standard house, with no special requirements). The third quote, they list as £50 total excess but when you go to the provider, they have 4 different excesses for different events, only one of them was £50, others were up to £1000! What a con!

The product I intended to buy did not translate when I went on to the purchase stage on the providers web page. The provider indicated this was your error not theirs. This took me 40 minutes to resolve online with the provider.

The system showed me a quote of £199, but when I was directed to the insurance companies website it changed to £450 approx. Whats the point of showing a price that is more than 100% inaccurate?

The actual insurance is more than acceptable however the "free, not freeish" tag line for the benefit you get when you buy a policy is junk. Pick a £20 voucher for Dominos and read the small print, where it can't be used with any other offer like 'buy one get one free' so the £20 voucher gets you about one pizza at reg price, yet go to the store and get 2 for about £13 or online for about £19 Basically the voucher is worth about half-ish if you're lucky.

Gave me quotes for home insurance & then after filling out the forms, which seemed to take an eternity they were unable to proceed with the transaction. This happened twice...

Hello, When completing the quote form, you will have to select if you wish for the top two insurers to contact you. If you did not select this, after viewing the quotes you will have the option to view the contact details of the insurer of your choice. I tried to buy the Tesco home insurance as soon as the quotes were shown. The expiry date was the 22nd which was the day of the quotes. The Tesco site closed the page when I accepted and I could not retrieve it. Funnily enough, this happened last year also on Confused.com . I had to go to Comparethe Market where I purchased the Tesco insurance. It takes time to fill out Home insurance - if the quote is not valid then it shouldn't be shown.

Was swayed by the £20 voucher. Turns out you can not use it online at all, and have to go to the physical check out in the shop (Halfords in my case) and read out a 23 digit number to the cashier while everyone behind you in the queue is waiting. Hmmmmm

Don't like Shell rewards scheme. Nothing but a come on to join Shells reward scheme Means downloading an app which according to Shell's own web site is fraught with difficulties getting it to work correctly If I had spotted this earlier I wouldn't have bothered and would have opted for a Halfords voucher instead .As it is once you have chosen your "reward" you can't change your mind s I am stuck with a reward that I am not going to use .Not recommended
